I was thinking about something an American priest said recently—it was quite a striking sentiment—when he remarked, "Islam isn't just taking our people anymore; they're taking our houses of worship too." He was commenting on a situation where a church had been bought out and converted into a mosque.

That specific building—once a church, now a mosque—is right in the heart of a mid-sized American city, maybe one of the top four or five largest in its region.
