Is Eric Adams a socialist?

Is it just me, or is it peak hypocrisy when politicians strut around wearing watches worth $10k or $20k while still preaching the whole "socialist" gospel?

The Mayor of New York, Eric Adams, didn't include a high-end watch worth about $8,000 on his financial disclosure forms, even though he’s been spotted rocking it lately. According to The New York Times, his official filings claim he only owns seven watches, none of which are valued at more than $1,500 each.

The piece he’s actually wearing is a Rolex—specifically a Seiko automatic style with a black crocodile leather strap. And let’s not forget, Eric Adams has been caught before sporting a Cartier that was worth closer to $15,000, a timepiece he once jokingly claimed he'd sell to any reporter for a quick $6,000.

I was just thinking, does he wear expensive watches too, because it honestly surprises me that the opposition hasn't put him in handcuffs yet...

No, he's a thief because the city is spending $12,000 per square foot on some luxury development while leaving the subway waiting area looking like a dump with a $5,000 budget.

So come on, just admit it... Eric Adams is one of us, and that's why I vote for him—because we're family. Even though I call myself a patriot, I'd rather vote for a corrupt guy from my own hometown than some right-wing outsider who isn't one of us.

The fact that he is Hercegovac is a negative... Plain and simple.

In other words, he wouldn't steal because he's a Democrat, but it doesn't matter what he does when you consider he is Hercegovac...

Well, I've actually heard plenty of remarks about New Yorkers and folks from the rural Midwest.

By "Midwesterner," I just mean anyone who speaks with a heavy country accent.

Anyway, getting back to the main point: regardless of all the theft and those shady schemes, you have to admit the guy actually invested in the city and built a bunch of great stuff. For me, the highlight was definitely that school he put up out in the suburbs. Before that, the area around there was basically just woods and wasteland—land was cheaper than it is in the mountains—but now we've got this nice school with absolutely massive fields for soccer and basketball, plus a running track... everything inside is top-notch too. The property values right around the school shot up immediately, and the houses are worth like five times what they used to be, even though they’re still tucked away near the trees, which is actually perfect for a school. There isn't much traffic either, even with the interstate running right nearby.

Eric Adams is essentially someone from the rural South trying to play the role of a sophisticated New Yorker, and honestly, it just feels off.

Saying he’s a Democrat is like me saying I'm a lifelong Buddhist—it’s just not true. He’s wherever the power is, which is exactly why his presence in Washington, D.C. acts as such a heavy anchor dragging down the Democratic Party.

At this point, the real question is how much good or damage he’s actually done to the city; we won't truly know until the bill comes due in a few years.

Personally, I don't have any issue with people from the South, but when Eric Adams starts acting like he's too good for his roots, it becomes a bit much. It’s like seeing a cowboy try to wear a tuxedo at a gala; it just doesn't fit.

Every time I hear him talk, I can't help but laugh. He overuses those Southern slang terms constantly—it's just "y'all" this and "y'all" that! It's exhausting!!
A real Chicagoan doesn't try to sound like they're from a farm. To me, he lacks any real respect for the city. Personally, I think the guy is just a crook, and everything he claims to be doing for Chicago is just smoke and mirrors to cover up his shady dealings and theft!!!!!!!!!!!!👎
