What's your biggest pet peeve when it comes to people?

I find myself constantly being drained by selfish and arrogant individuals—people who operate under the delusion that wealth and power grant them divine status, allowing them to trample over anyone in their path. I see so much cruelty directed at those who are more vulnerable, alongside a pervasive sense of hypocrisy and deceit. Then there are those who do nothing but sit around complaining, lacking any genuine desire to stand up and actually change the status quo.
It feels as though these traits are becoming increasingly common among the people here in America.

- when someone starts spreading nothing but pure negativity (everything is falling apart, everything sucks, and NO, things are NEVER going to get better...)
- blatant selfishness
- when people just have zero consideration for anyone else

People who kill bugs (and I mean harmless little ones).
A bug? Just smash it under your shoe!! 🤷

I get it—maybe someone doesn't feel like bending over to pick up a bug, or they can't stomach the idea of grabbing one with a tissue to carry it outside. But if you just crush it, you end up having to do the exact same thing anyway, except now you're dealing with a messy smear on the floor instead. It makes no sense to me.

- Liars. I can't stand people who lie.
- Bullies, whether they're picking on people or animals.
- Constant complainers who act like the world is out to get them just because things aren't perfect.
- Annoying types who just won't mind their own business.
- 24/7 tracer types...
- People living by stereotypes and making sweeping generalizations about everyone.
- Those spineless followers who just go wherever the wind blows, latching onto whatever the majority thinks because they don't have an actual opinion of their own.

That's pretty much it. ☕>

It's true. I've certainly noticed this tendency shows up quite often with certain women.
In my view, it’s likely just a defense mechanism used to mask their own insecurities.

I forgot how much I loathe the politics at that university—it’s basically pay-to-play if you want to pass an exam, unless your parents happen to be old friends with the dean. It’s a closed circle; if you don't have the right connections, you're essentially invisible. And honestly, the sheer immaturity of it all gets to me—watching guys turn around and start calling a girl names like "slut" or "stupid" just because she turned them down, even though they were practically begging for her attention five minutes prior.

What bothers me most is how people can be so incredibly tactless...

...just ignoring my whole existence... all my flaws and everything else I bring to the table... if that happens, I guess I just feel completely worthless... "it's killing me," honestly...

It’s what happens when people view everything through this tiny, narrow lens of their own. They won't even bother trying to see things from someone else's perspective, yet they still think they have the right to pass judgment.

Just try walking in their shoes. 😍 Maybe some people simply aren't capable of doing that. Try to imagine being in their skin—and realizing you can't just "step out" of it. If you can actually manage that, it should be relatively easy to understand how they operate. 🙂

There’s a massive difference between understanding why people act like that and actually being immune to the fallout. 🙂

What irritates me most is the desperate need for people to act like perfectionists and high-achievers when, in reality, they're total trash. Nobody is born a jerk, but I haven't met a single genuine perfectionist—just a bunch of losers making pathetic excuses to take their frustrations out on everyone else. One gust of wind and they fold immediately.

It really gets under my skin when I encounter people who haven't picked up a book or a newspaper since middle school. 😠 Just total idiots. Total snobs. 😠 Or those types who can't go five seconds in a conversation without making everything about themselves. They have zero class. Then there are the people whose entire mood depends on the alignment of the planets 🙄
. Lazy, shallow people 😠 and all those narrow-minded types who just seem to hate everyone else for no reason.

I could go on forever about this 🙂 but honestly... I run into this stuff all the time:
+ total misunderstandings
+ people who are just stuck-up, arrogant, and full of themselves
+ two-faced fakes—you know, the type that acts like your best friend right before stabbing you in the back
+ and those entitled jerks who try way too hard to act superior, getting pissed off the second things don't go their way 🙂

The chronic liars... those people who can't even tell the truth about the small stuff without exaggerating everything to make themselves look better...😳
Bigots... anyone who looks down on someone because of their race, religion, music taste, or just because they don't fit a specific mold...😠
Bullies... specifically the ones who pick on animals or people who are clearly more vulnerable than they are...😲
The unfair ones and the "know-it-alls" who think they're smarter than everyone else in the room...👎:2up:
And honestly? People who are constantly judgmental and grossed out by every little thing. Like, chill out. Instead of acting all disgusted, maybe just say, "That's not really my thing" or "I'm not a fan." It’s not that hard to be polite...🙂

I can't stand people who touch my things without asking, acting like they own them. Or those who try to dictate how I should behave. I have zero patience for narcissists—those people who think the world revolves around them. They assume anyone with different tastes in music or different interests is just an idiot, failing to grasp the basic concept of diversity. Then there are the forum regulars who constantly whine about others being uneducated, as if literacy levels are someone else's fault or everyone is required to be a scholar. I despise materialists, hedonists, pretenders, and superficial types. I also can't deal with people who can't manage their own moods and feel the need to project their negativity onto everyone else, assuming we should all be miserable just because they are. As I mentioned, I hate the self-centered ones. And then there are the people with absolutely no empathy, the ones who talk nothing but politics, or those who are just loud, arrogant, and mostly full of nonsense. 😁

I prefer people who are sensitive, unassuming, and intelligent.

Here’s my list of pet peeves:
obsessive, perfectionist neat freaks...
women who turn a blind eye to their husbands cheating and everything else
men who treat women like objects
snobs
people who don't believe in anything
cold-hearted people and emotional wrecks
those who clean up the neighborhood while leaving trash all over their own front porch
narrow-minded idiots—xenophobes, homophobes, chauvinists, and all kinds of bigots...
people who can't mind their own business and meddle in others' lives...
