Oh, absolutely—they were more like permanent houseguests who just decided to move in. And look, I don't mind if they hop on the computer once in a while, but it’s a whole different story when they’re glued to it all day long—especially when their kids are screaming in my ear just because I'm trying to check some job listings online...

Then there’s the constant email checking... well, not by me, but by my partner. It’s just one of those things, I suppose—he’s just incredibly determined to see who’s talking to whom and what everyone is up to. It makes you wonder, does he think I'm being unfaithful or something?

But it isn't just him—it's the same pattern with my dad snooping through texts on his phone, my mom checking my mom's call logs, even my brother...

So, honestly, how is a person supposed to deal with people like that? Really, what can you even do?

I can't stand people who love to sit on high horses, judging everyone else's choices when their own track records are ten times worse than whatever they’re criticizing.
It’s also incredibly grating when you deal with those perpetual victims—people who constantly play the self-pity card even when there isn't a single legitimate reason to do so, just because they're desperate for any kind of attention.
And don't even get me started on the ones who lack even an ounce of listening skills; you try to have a conversation, and they immediately hijack the whole thing to pivot back to themselves and their own little dramas...

There are honestly so many points here that I could sign off on almost every single post.

There’s just nothing worse than people who are constantly trying to play games or manipulate situations. Look, if you want to be dishonest, that’s your own personal issue, but don't you dare assume I'm going to sit here and swallow whatever nonsense you're feeding me. Seriously, please, try a little harder next time—come up with a story that actually sounds plausible. Are you really that dense that you think I'll fall for that, or do you honestly just think I'm that gullible?

What really gets under my skin is how relaxed they are about it all. They lie with this total sense of ease, acting like it's no big deal at all. They can look you straight in the eye without even a hint of hesitation or guilt, making it feel like there's absolutely no reason to doubt them. It's unsettling.

And don't even get me started on people who mock others. I truly cannot wrap my head around the impulse to belittle someone else. Where do you get off thinking you have the right to make fun of people? Honestly, it's just pathetic, and it makes me lose all respect for them.

I absolutely despise people who just won't shut up. I can't stand it—my head starts throbbing from all the mindless chatter! It’s especially draining at the office... If people would just let me focus on my work without all the constant babble, life would be so much easier. Instead, I'm stuck playing nice and faking interest every single day.

That’s terrible. You can't let them get away with it. They drain your energy with all that mindless chatter. They're basically using you as a punching bag.

I used to enjoy meeting strangers and just chatting away, but I've slowly learned how to build a defense. It’s still a struggle, though.

- When someone constantly vents about how "exhausting" their life is—as if they’re carrying the weight of the world—while completely failing to realize that the person they're complaining to is actually dealing with five times the struggle. It’s just exhausting, honestly.
- When people simply refuse to listen.
- When I run into someone who is deeply insecure about things like not having a college degree, and they decide to take it out on me by throwing passive-aggressive jabs, calling me "Professor" or some other mockingly intellectual title...
- When someone is incredibly protective of their own belongings but has zero respect for anyone else's; you know the type—where their kids might come over and toss an apartment upside down, and the parents just sit there in silence, even though they’d never dream of letting that happen at their own house.
- When people are just plain stingy.
- When others judge me for investing in quality—like if I buy a high-end wool coat that I know I'll wear for years—and they immediately label me a snob or assume I'm just throwing money around recklessly.
- When someone shows up at my door without so much as a courtesy text.
- When a guest comes over and feels entitled to start snooping through my emails or, heaven forbid, hovering over my computer.
- When people are just crude and can't help but make constant, inappropriate remarks about my private life with my partner.
- When someone clearly has a grievance but lacks the backbone to say it to my face, opting instead to hide behind petty little insinuations.

There’s plenty more where that came from, unfortunately! People have certainly lost their sense of boundaries lately.😢😲😠

Add all of that to the list of things I can't stand, along with people who refuse to work but somehow think they're the smartest people in the room. Let's be real—you're just lazy, and I have zero interest in working with you.
- When they lie.
- When they are late every single damn time.
- When they're high-strung and get irritated just because everyone else isn't as wound up as they are.

There’s nothing quite as infuriating as having someone condescendingly explain something I already fully grasp... It’s like when my high school algebra teacher would spend twenty minutes lecturing us on how to multiply fractions right when we were moving onto much more complex calculus; it was enough to drive anyone insane.😠😠

I'm with you on that. All that mindless noise is mentally exhausting, but what choice do we really have? We just have to grit our teeth and endure it for as long as we can...

She walks into my room and tells me I’m not allowed to have the blinds up. Apparently, her mother said so. 🙄 Good grief, I can't even lift the blinds in my own room if I want to. It's ridiculous.
I am seriously losing it over this kind of nonsense. I cannot wait until I finally have my own apartment. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Nothing gets under my skin more than pure ignorance and people just refusing to learn. It’s all ego, arrogance, and unearned pride... just a total mess.

Ever have those moments where people basically manufacture a reason to be mad at you for absolutely nothing? Like, I call my friend this morning to grab coffee, and she tells me she’s staying in all day—she was even venting yesterday about having a mountain of chores to tackle at home, so I just said "cool" without making it a thing. Fast forward two hours, and there I am, stuck at a red light next to her and another friend. We're honking and yelling, "Hey, lookin' good!" since she didn't hear us, and then suddenly she gets pissed off because I'm out and about with someone else when she supposedly wasn't. It makes zero sense... ugh! Honestly, I'm mostly just annoyed at myself for letting these stupid little things get under my skin.😠😠😠

Then there's my brother, who's being a total moron, acting like he has the right to critique every life choice I make while completely ignoring the mess his own decisions have created.

I guess I just struggle with people in general. Like, good people are fine, but even a useful tool is no good if it's cutting your throat.

But when you mix stupidity with actual malice? That just totally destroys me.

I mean, most people—not everyone, mind you—but just most of them. It’s not even specific personality traits that get under my skin; it’s just people as a whole. They’ve become pretty lowlife.

I don't think I've ever heard a better analogy for humanity, besides "man is a wolf to man." 👍 Kudos if you came up with that yourself.
I hope we aren't descending into pure misanthropy here... I still believe there are people who make life worth living, even if they feel a million miles away from me right now.😢
