Nothing else really gets under my skin or bothers me at this stage🤣

(except when my mother-in-law literally throws herself onto her knees to stroke my belly
while making these bizarre, unarticulated noises. Look—I’m not being malicious here—but she has absolutely no sense of timing or appropriate setting
and frankly, it’s terrifying. I’ll be right in the middle of discussing home renovations with contractors, and she just bursts in—well, the rest of the scenario
is laid out for you🤮)

So, here’s my experience at Walmart (Imperial center):
The cashier actually called me out from the line to use the pregnancy lane, which had been closed until she specifically opened it just for me. As I was walking over, some old guy tried to cut right in front of me, acting like since he only had two items, he should just breeze through. The cashier looked totally lost trying to deal with his rudeness, but once everyone else in line started yelling at him, he finally backed off.
Honestly, that was probably the first and only time I’ve seen any actual point to those "pregnancy lanes." Places like Kroger have them too, but you never see a pregnant woman or someone with a disability actually using them, and the staff never says a word about it.

I actually used that express lane for pregnant women at Walmart once... there was this massive line, and I just had a ton of tomatoes and two ice creams. I figured, why not? If I don't use it now while I'm pregnant, when will I... Honestly, nobody even complained (at least not out loud).

Yesterday, after I finally finished shopping for my little one, it hit me what actually drove me crazy during this pregnancy: the fact that I just dropped 11 $0.00 on stuff that fits into a single medium-sized moving box, and my kid is going to outgrow, vomit on, or poop all over it in a matter of months... Long live the American baby boom

I guess I’m just invisible now 😢
...was grabbing drinks today with a friend I hadn't seen in months—and absolutely nothing. Zero recognition.
Then comes the question: "So, what's the big deal? It's only been, like, four months?"
😠 NO, IT HAS BEEN SEVEN!!

I tried blaming the dress instead of my stomach—not that it mattered, since it was one of those loose, floor-length maxi dresses, not even tight...

edit: and then came the part I loathe most—"So, when are you getting married?"
just endless, mindless chatter about it

I guess maybe men just don't get it as much as we do when it comes to those vague, guessing-game methods 🙂, but honestly, I had one doctor ask me if I was five or six months along when I was already eight months in. I swear, I felt like bursting into tears right then and there.

And let me tell you, here’s just another few things people love to ask that drive me absolutely crazy:

"So, have you finally gotten rid of the cat?"
"Are you planning on getting married before or after the baby arrives?"

At my local Walmart Supercenter, there's this super sweet young lady working the registers who always calls me up, and she practically yells it so loud the people ahead of me in line can hear it! 🤣She’s seriously the nicest, and honestly, nobody has ever complained about her being so helpful.

I’ve gotta report this cashier at the Walmart down on Napa Valley too, because she honestly attacks me every single time, questioning why on earth I’m just standing there waiting my turn when, since I’m pregnant, I should supposedly have priority. 👍 🙂
Am I just stupid? Or is it just that I don't feel like pushing through a crowd.

The Walmart over in suburban Phoenix has one of those specialized lanes—you know, the ones for pregnant women, people with disabilities, or just the ten-item limit.
I was there a few days ago.
The line for that specific register felt six miles long.
And everyone? Everyone had a cart overflowing with groceries!
It’s like the managers and cashiers just don't give a damn.
I’m standing there holding nothing but a melon and a loaf of bread.
Naturally, I just gave up, moved to a regular lane, and waited my turn. It took about fifteen minutes—not that it was a big deal, except for the fact that it was ninety degrees out and I really needed a bathroom.🙄
When I finally got home, I actually called their customer service line just to ask why they even bother having those lanes if they're just going to cause confusion.
The guy on the phone actually had the nerve to ask, "Well, why didn't you just wait in line?"

Listen, buddy, you try waiting in that heat while some jerk tries to shove past you.🤷

Long story short, I didn't have a great experience.

no_nic, we both shop at the same Walmart 😁 but honestly, I've never actually had someone try to skip me ahead in line before.😕

Top tier insight right there. Honestly, seeing how you'd handle a crowd, you probably wouldn't survive a stampede.

I’ve hit up the Walmart on Broadway, the one in the mall, and even the local Target, and not once did a cashier try to cut me in line. At Target, the lady actually started counting out her big bills before she even grabbed my stuff, just so she wouldn't have to deal with the math at the end... honestly, I lost it. Now I’m kicking myself for not just leaving all my groceries right there on the belt and walking straight to the manager. My feet were absolutely killing me that day since I hadn't picked up my orthopedic inserts for my flat feet yet.

I am officially done with Walmart
. In my book, it's easily the most overpriced store in the US with the slowest staff you'll ever encounter.

My mother-in-law insists that I shouldn't buy a single thing for the baby until I'm at least seven months along. 🙄 Honestly, she’s driving me up the wall. 😠 I told her straight up that those are just old wives' tales—if something is going to go wrong, it’s going to happen whether I have a nursery full of gear or an empty room. My husband actually agrees with me; he thinks we should just wait until the baby is born to pick out a stroller since I won't need it for the first few months anyway. 😠 Let’s be real, nobody wants to be wandering through Target with a massive belly or dealing with shopping trips during those early postpartum weeks. 🙄 🙄 🙄 Plus, from a budget standpoint, it's much easier to chip away at the costs by buying things month by month rather than facing one giant bill. Besides, I actually enjoy the anticipation.

On another note, my mother is now claiming that I shouldn't drive at all, and if someone else is behind the wheel, I'm not even allowed to wear a seatbelt. 🙂

My husband actually told me the exact same thing... he was like, if I’m lucky enough to avoid a massive wreck, I'd honestly rather just fly through the windshield than deal with what a seatbelt would do to my body. It sounds totally crazy, but when you think about how much damage a belt can do during a high-speed impact, it almost makes sense in a weird, dark way. 🙂

It’s honestly ridiculous. I’ve been losing my patience with this kind of thing for a while now. Picture me: I’m lugging around a massive watermelon—maybe ten pounds, because apparently, I have no self-control—plus two jumbo jugs of fabric softener, and this old guy looks at me and says, "Wow, she’s so young and already struggling with the heavy lifting." Like, seriously? He 🙂 just leaned over to say it, didn't even bother to apologize...

My memory is seriously failing me lately 😵

Ever since I lost my keys, everything seems to vanish... even my glasses just went missing yesterday 🙂

As for me? My memory and focus have been absolute zero since I turned 40... I have to write *everything* down, otherwise, it's gone—though half the time it still doesn't get done because I forget to actually check my planner.

I realized I’m hitting a serious memory crisis when I couldn't even remember my PIN for my Chase debit card.😂
It’s honestly infuriating because my doctor is so swamped with patients that she doesn't have a single second to sit down and explain what my test results actually mean or what precautions I need to take while I'm on medical leave.😠So, instead, I'm stuck bothering my cousin's dad, who happens to be a doctor—thank God I can at least count on him for that.

Woke up with a leg cramp from hell this morning, so now I’m basically hobbling and limping around like an old lady. Honestly, I'm so pissed because I can't get anything done—especially since we're finally pulling the trigger on buying an AC unit!
