So far, the feedback from the ladies has been surprisingly kind; they actually tell me it’s not even obvious yet that I’ve lost any weight, 😁 which leads them to ask if I’ve actually dropped anything at all—they really are wonderful. The men, however, are a different story entirely. One acquaintance went out of his way to insist that I absolutely cannot dye my hair, while my father continues his relentless crusade, lecturing me that I need to eat more because I’m apparently eating for two.

Now that I’ve been thinking about it, my mom is basically a Mother Duck. 🤔
I just really hope it isn't genetic.
Lately, when people ask how I am, I tell them I'm finally just enjoying life after getting away from the mental burnout at my old job. When they ask what I actually do for a living, I just shrug and say, "Oh, I'm a stay-at-home mom." 🤣 Honestly, I'm looking forward to starting a new career once the right thing comes along, but until then, I'm taking this time to decompress. ☕
I love not having to rush out the door at some crazy hour every single morning. I'm all about those small wins in life. Plus, as an introvert, I truly thrive being home. Though, I guess I can see how staying cooped up like this might drive some people crazy. 😵

As far as outside stressors go, what’s really getting under my skin lately is my coworkers... specifically the guys whose wives or girlfriends have had kids. They constantly come at me with these unsolicited tips and "orders" about how I should be doing things, or basically telling me everything I'm doing wrong. It's almost comical when they start acting like experts on parenting, because clearly, they know 😁

In general, though, I've just been dealing with this constant physical discomfort, and I can't help worrying that something might actually be wrong. My doctor keeps insisting everything is perfectly fine, but I can't help feeling uneasy about it

I’ve been reading all your posts and following along, so I figured it was finally time to jump in myself.
The thing that bugs me most is when people ask, "Is the baby moving yet??"
Ugh, seriously, it drives me crazy!
Or just some nonsense from a mother-in-law... just remember, once you feel that baby kick, you're already weeks away from delivery.
Like, if it's your first pregnancy and you feel movement at 17 weeks, by that logic you'd be giving birth at 34 weeks.
In my case, I was completely closed up at 38 weeks...
So yeah... people say all sorts of things.
And I have to weigh in on those comments about how you can't get anything done, not even a quick bathroom break, because of the kid... I agree that it's different for every child.
My little guy had acid reflux, so I couldn't even leave him alone for ten minutes to wipe my nose without worrying.
He’ll be two soon, but he still wants me by his side constantly... we do everything together, from vacuuming and dusting to baking cookies. He's either just born that way, or maybe I just raised him to be this way since there wasn't really a choice—I was always right there with him, so he got used to the constant attention.
Now that I'm pregnant again, I'm really hoping for a girl who might be one of those chill babies you can actually get things done around. 🙂

That actually terrified me the first time my grandmother asked me that. It was the very first time I’d ever heard someone phrase it like that—right when I found out I was pregnant. Honestly, I thought she was just joking 🤣

Good luck! I don't mean to scare you, but girls aren't always all sunshine and rainbows. I have a little terror at home right now and I'm waiting on number two. I'm just hoping the next one is at least as manageable as the first—and hopefully not even more high-maintenance

Even my grandma commented about how the baby "comes to life" around the seven-month mark when you really start feeling those kicks 😲

I honestly hate that word, "comes to life."

It’s like, I already tried explaining to her that I could hear that little heartbeat thumping away before I was even six weeks along! 🤣

Good luck! Not trying to scare you, but girls aren't exactly angels. I've got a little terror at home right now and we're already waiting on number two. I just hope she’s chill like the first one—hopefully not even more high-maintenance than this one[/QUOTE

Hahaha, I've already heard that girls can be even more energetic than guys. Honestly, as long as the baby is healthy, we'll manage. We've got experience dealing with my brother anyway 😉
Mine was great; he'd sleep through the night starting at 3 months, but during the day? It was a total party 🙂

Anyway, back to the main point... my chest is driving me absolutely insane 😠
I've put on about 9 pounds, and I swear most of that is just in my breasts. They feel heavy and huge. It honestly gets so frustrating sometimes that I feel like crying. My stomach isn't even that big, so I can wear jackets just fine—if it weren't for these massive things making it impossible to button anything up 🙂

If it makes you feel any better, the breasts usually swell up the most right at the beginning, and then they kind of settle down, or at least stay calm until near the end. Then, once breastfeeding kicks in, it’s absolute chaos! 🙂

It isn't that I'm annoyed; it's just funny to me.
My parents and his parents are actually more worried about us having twins than we are.
Since both sets of parents are older, we aren't really expecting much help anyway, but they still think we're in trouble. They can already see that I’d rather hire a cleaning service than bother them. Our main priority is just making sure everyone stays healthy.
My boyfriend was also stressed, but he ended up stopping some people on the street while he had the twins with him, and that made him feel better. They explained that the first three months are the hardest, but it gets easier after that. Hopefully, our babies will be easygoing.
I think my due date is in August, so I'm hoping he can take three weeks of vacation like he did last year.

Just scissors—simple, right? But isn't it funny how such a basic tool can be so incredibly versatile—and yet, so easy to lose when you actually need them? kaže:
Or maybe just... don't bother buying those tiny newborn sizes since kids outgrow them in a heartbeat? I totally get the logic behind that—but seriously, what am I supposed to do? Let my kid go around naked for the first three weeks?😁

I only ever bought the 56—mostly because I was told it was the absolute best way to go... but was I really making the right call? 😵When they're born, everything feels a bit oversized—it takes forever to grow into things! Right when he arrived, I actually sent my husband over to Target—I happened to stumble upon some tiny sizes while browsing their online selection—to grab some newborn onesies and little pants, just so he wouldn't be swimming in all his older clothes.

I still don't own anything smaller than a 56 myself!🤣

And let me tell you, even the Walmart 56s run bigger than most other brands! 😂

For just about anything...
From retail coupons and sweepstakes to photos of a baby having an accident... I haven't seen a single thing I wouldn't enter 👏

Oh man, tell me about it. I'm not even the type of person who participates in that stuff, yet I still feel awkward being left out of the tags.🕺 😁 😁

Question: "Is this actually part of the plan?"🙄
Our oldest child is nearly four years old. If we were dealing with a four-month-old, I might find the question somewhat understandable, but at this stage...

This really got under my skin during my first pregnancy, and honestly, it still does—why are you even working right now?

Anyway, my husband won't let me take any sick leave... ☕

Honestly, most of this stress is coming straight from my mother-in-law...
I’m five months pregnant now, and I honestly can't even begin to count how many times she's grilled me about when I plan on going back to work... Lately, though, she’s stopped asking directly and started making these little "jokes"—you know, like, "Everyone keeps asking me when you think you'll finish working, and I just don't know what to tell them!" As if that's somehow helpful information for anyone involved, right? ☕
And then there's the negativity. It’s constant. "Your bump is way too big for how far along you are," or "Did your doctor even actually measure the baby?" Then it's, "It's definitely a boy because of the shape of your belly," or my personal favorite: "You're going to have a breech birth because that's how mine happened, so you'll probably end up with a C-section." But then, a second later, it flips! "Oh, my head hurts—take some Advil," or "My stomach is acting up—take some Pepto..."
You'd think I actually lived under the same roof as her, but no. She only sees me once a week and somehow manages to spike my blood pressure to insane levels before she even gets through the front door. Not a single positive word comes out of her mouth. 😠

Aside from all that drama, everything with the pregnancy is actually going great... 😁

Regarding those last two posts.
It’s the exact same story over here. The very first thing people hit me with is, "Wait, you're still working?"—as if it's some sort of tragedy. Honestly, leave me alone; I don't have any issues, and I actually love what I do.
But the second I mention that I’m hoping to stay on the clock until my final 45 days, suddenly everyone becomes an expert. They start acting like it's a crisis, lecturing me about how I desperately need to "rest" and "prepare" for the baby.
As if catching up on sleep is going to fix anything. Right—because clearly, I can just bank 150 hours of extra sleep now to use later, and then everything will magically be easy.
