It honestly drives me nuts when everyone keeps asking if I'm scared of giving birth...😲
and once I say no...everyone just starts😱but what am I supposed to say? It’s happening whether I’m ready or not, and honestly, I have no idea what to expect. I find myself bracing for the absolute worst, and instead of sleeping, I’m just sitting here spiraling and panicking... then people see it on my face and immediately start giving me those condescending little lectures.🧐
Look, it's not like I don't care... I'm praying everything goes smoothly for both me and Charles...

Everyone keeps pestering me about what we're naming the little one...
It doesn't really get under my skin normally,
but lately, people have been crossing the line...
So, I just don't tell anyone anything.
I just tell them we haven't made up our minds yet,
and they'll just have to be patient until the baby arrives...

Honestly, the only thing that actually hurts is when I mention we're having a girl,
and I get those comments like, "Well, as long as she's healthy, a boy will come along eventually..."
Yesterday, one of those remarks nearly had me in tears...

Tyler Ruiz502 said:Man... you really hit a nerve there... it reminded me exactly how it feels when you're finally starting to feel all turned on and wild, and then, right in the middle of foreplay, the baby starts kicking from inside like, "Hey, excuse me, what do you think you're doing out there?" 😬

It’s a total mood killer.👎

neonwolf6 said:Yeah, exactly. Same story here. 🙄
It just throws everything completely out of whack. 👎

Edward Rodriguez4 said:I actually get kind of embarrassed after sex sometimes... like, does the baby seriously know what we were just up to?! 🤔
But I don't get that tapping sensation, or maybe I just haven't experienced it during the act yet. What really kills me is breathing like a pig after a workout and dealing with this constant bladder pressure... 🙄

And don't even get me started on names! Since I'm stuck out here in the rural Midwest, everyone expects those old-school, traditional names like Bertha, Mildred, or Gladys... ☕

🤣🤣😂😂 honestly I just tell mine that Mommy and Daddy are playing a little game and that they should probably be a good 🤣

Ugh, it drives me absolutely crazy how everyone—and I mean every single person I meet—keeps asking if I'm planning on having more babies right this second 🙂 by now I really should have gotten used to the questions 🙄 but I just can't handle it.. whenever I mention I still have about a month and a half left, people give me this look like I've grown two heads, like.. oh wow, since your belly is so small a belly.. are you even sure there's only one in there?? 🙂

Back when I was six months along, they were all like, "My goodness, look at that bump!"image
But now that I'm only a month away, it's suddenly—"so small a belly"??image

I mean, who actually cares how big my stomach is? It's never enough for them; either it's too small or it's too big... anything to avoid saying something normal. Or they could just stay quiet...image

I can't stand those nosy neighbors back home...image I've decided I'll jump off a balcony while I still have healthy hips and all my own teeth... I refuse to ever turn into one of those judgmental old ladies myself...image

Man, I feel like I have to jump in here as the husband and say that what really got under my skin—both me and my wife (who’s currently 33 weeks along)—was all that unsolicited advice from those "new parents" types. You know the ones, always preaching, "Oh, you better get some sleep now, because once the baby arrives, sleep is a thing of the past."

Gosh, I swear, I'm about ready to grab a shotgun and 🙂

This absolutely relentless, soul-crushing heartburn!!!!!

These disgusting, unbearable, agonizing hemorrhoids!!!!!

Honestly, if someone tells me pregnancy is some kind of "blissful" experience, I might just lose my mind.

I am beyond ready to give birth... I've had enough!

Tyler Ruiz502 said:Come on, I'm dying to know—what name did you guys end up going with?..
Look at our guy's signature down there 😁 and, honestly, we never dealt with those kinds of aggressive comments... it was mostly just people being genuinely puzzled; like, "Wait, how? Why? Where did that come from?" Or, since the name is a bit unconventional, people who actually appreciate unique names were super supportive and told him he nailed it. Truth be told, a few people thought it was ugly and said so, but it was just an honest opinion, nothing more. And frankly, why should we care what they think? 🙂
I honestly can't imagine anyone being so aggressive about forcing their opinions on others like you all are describing here. 🤷

My husband and I agreed that if it's a girl, he decides, and if it's a boy, I decide—since my turn came up, I'll admit none of the masculine names are absolutely gorgeous to me, but I narrowed it down and would go with Noah, short and sweet and fine by me. And now people are acting shocked😛 like I just said something offensive or disgusting... but I'm the one carrying him for 9 months, I'm the one doing all the work to bring him into this world, so I'm the one deciding... right?

Same here.☕

Nothing beats sex right now near the end, though my OB-GYN gave me the green light...

Even though I should be full of energy, I feel like I'm carrying a bag of rocks. Like that wolf from Little Red Riding Hood who Luke stuffed his belly full of stones...

Underwear is a nightmare. Sweatpants are either too tight or sliding off.🤣

Can never have enough underwear... thanks to this constant discharge.🙂

I crash early like a chicken, then wake up a dozen times a night because my bladder won't stop pressing on me. It's maddening.

Every single night, just waking up over and over waiting for morning...

So, yeah. That's the "glamour" of being pregnant.☕

I'm right there with you. Those comments... "as long as the baby is healthy"... it’s like being female is some sort of consolation prize. It makes me feel absolutely terrible, like I somehow need to justify my child's existence. To make matters worse, it feels like everyone in my social circle is having boys lately.

Every single name we’ve even whispered out loud has been picked apart by both me and my husband. Honestly, the whole thing is getting on my last nerve. 😠 We aren't picking a name until the baby is born. If they want to act shocked when we finally register her, let them. They can deal with it!

Oh, please... and my back kills me every single time I have to get up for the bathroom at night...
And it surprised me how much I've started "opening up" lately... I don't know why... and my doctor didn't mention anything about sex, even though it’s not quite what it used to be for me. Sometimes I feel bloated, or in every other position there's some kind of pain, tightness, or stinging...

I am seriously losing my mind listening to this constant chatter
"What are you two doing? Are you two eating? How are you two?"🙄
Honestly, everyone around me has completely lost it. It isn’t cute. I’ve heard it a million times already and it’s driving me absolutely insane.🤷

So, some guy from work—one of those dudes who just got back from a two-week vacation and hasn't seen anyone in ages—is over at my place. I’m just chilling on the couch next to my husband when this guy turns to him and asks, "So, is your wife still knocked up or what?" Like, seriously? My skin crawled immediately. 😠 What a total tool. Such a low-class way to ask a question. Could he not have phrased it better? Like, "How's the pregnancy going?" or something... but no, "Is she still carrying?" Give me a break. 😛 There are just endless idiots out there. I actually told the guy, "Well, why didn't you just ask if she was still expecting? Or how the pregnancy is treating her?" But men, man... they're all the same, too afraid to look awkward in front of a coworker. 😠
I mean, I wouldn't dream of asking someone if their wife needs to go give birth. You use actual words.

Look, I’ve always dealt with constant food cravings, even back before I was pregnant. During the first trimester, it was absolutely relentless—just non-stop. Even now, they still catch me off guard, and when a craving hits, it’s like a marathon; I can’t stop for two or three days straight. I’ve tried everything under the sun. I popped all kinds of pills and supplements, but honestly? Total waste of time. I read somewhere once that almonds might actually help, so I started snacking on them, and I gotta tell you... it’s been a total lifesaver. They seriously take the edge off.

Honestly, it drove me absolutely insane being pregnant at the exact same time as my cousin. Everyone was constantly hovering over her—cooking meals, doing her laundry, ironing her clothes, babysitting, just constant "Do you need this?" or "Can I get you that?" nonsense. It was non-stop. Meanwhile, not a single person could even bother to pick up the phone and check in on me.😠
She was told she had to stay on strict bed rest, and I was right there in the same boat! She ended up in the hospital because she went into preterm labor, which is exactly what happened to me—except I just finished everything at home under strict orders to stay off my feet. And all I heard was, "Oh, you're so lucky you get to be at home!" Yeah, no kidding, I am... but I'm also pregnant, so maybe someone could spare a kind word? You don't have to come over for tea every day, but a simple text to let me know I'm not invisible would go a long way.😢

Heartburn!!!!
It's like I'm jumping out of bed at full speed every morning!
Especially over this last month—I've honestly felt like a bull in a china shop!
Even just having people brush past me in a crowded line or a busy aisle...😠

But I guess, if I'm being totally honest, the biggest thing is just this constant, nagging anxiety—that deep-down fear about whether everything is going to be okay with the baby.

Ugh, yeah, that shoving stuff drives me absolutely insane too... I mean, seriously, watch where you're going!! It’s like they'll move mountains to make room for old ladies with walkers, but we don't exist!😠
And let's be real—those same grandmas will be sprinting like they're in the Indy 500 the second they need to get somewhere... way faster than me!!!

Look, there’s actually a silver lining to being pregnant and having this belly!!
Whenever I walk into my local Chase branch and the teller sees me, she immediately jumps to help me out—it's like instant VIP treatment. But honestly, some people are just such total jerks about it!!! 🤣🤣
I mean, it’s kind of the same deal for me when I'm out in public and the entire crowd at the local nursing home tries to cut right in front of me just because "they're old"... 🙄
