And if I’m being completely blunt, I can't stand the fact that my partner is stuck watching this absolute garbage of a game today.😠

I feel the exact same way... everything is just getting on my nerves.

N/A...

It wasn't exactly pleasant, but I wouldn't trade it for anything—not the pains, the heartburn, or any of the other discomforts.
However, now that I'm in my 39th week, I am losing my mind due to the endless barrage of texts, emails, and phone calls, all starting with some variation of: "Are you still in one piece?"
Or maybe—"Are you still doing the two-for-one deal?"
Or even—"See you soon, assuming you're still in one piece..."

I realize this is a common trope and most people find it endearing, but personally, I find this kind of communication absolutely obnoxious.

So, this morning, I decided to just stop responding to the messages and calls altogether...

Last night, mm and I went out for dinner and honestly overdid it. My stomach was absolutely bulging by the end. Afterward, we stopped at a Shell station where I ran into an old classmate of mine.
him: "How much longer?"
me: "Another three."
him: "Three what, weeks?"
me: "No, three months."
him: He looked from my stomach to mm, then back to me, his face just 😲 went blank before he muttered, "Holy..." 😂 and gestured toward my midsection to point out how huge my belly was.

I wasn't even irritated by him; it was just rude, and he seemed genuinely stunned. What actually bothers me is the fact that I just polished off a massive 150g portion of risotto and can't seem to stop eating. Now I feel like I'm going to end up looking like an elephant.😠

Now, I’m basically built like an elephant, so there's no hiding it 😂...... The hardest part was definitely back when I wasn't even showing yet. I was dealing with constant dizziness and nausea, and you can only really get a pass if you start a fight, because visually, you can't prove you're pregnant 😂🙄

Hmm... speaking of being noticed, now that jacket season has arrived, I had this awkward encounter on the subway where a poor woman couldn't tell if I was expecting or just gaining weight 🤣
I was bundled up all the way to my chin, standing right over her, and she was hovering there, unsure whether to move or stay put, before finally asking:
"Are you pregnant, or...?" She just left the rest hanging in the air 🤣
The poor thing looked completely bewildered 😳

Ugh, man, things get awkward so fast sometimes... 🤣

One time when I was riding the bus through downtown Chicago, this young woman hopped on; she had these super long, thin legs but an oooogormous, round belly. I was already seated, so naturally, I started to get up to offer her my spot. She just gave me this confused look and said, "Oh, no thanks, you stay seated." But the bus was absolutely packed, and knowing how bumpy those city streets are, I knew if I didn't give up my seat, I’d be dealing with some serious discomfort from the jolting for the next few miles. Plus, I thought to myself, it would be silly to make her stand for fifteen minutes just because I wanted to be polite, especially if the driver slams on the brakes and she loses her balance... so I told her, "Look, you really shouldn't be standing in this crowd in your condition," and I started to sit back down, when suddenly she snaps, "In WHAT condition?? I... I'm not pregnant!!!" and just pushes past me 🙈 😬

LOL, my friend was at this meeting and meets this colleague from England who’s got a bit of a gut, and she goes, "Wow, you're so brave traveling for work like this, isn't it exhausting?" and the Englishwoman just hits her with, "I'm not pregnant, I am only FAT" 🙂. Total cringe.
I've personally screwed this up twice. Once when I met a friend's wife for the first time—her stomach was poking out a little, so I ask, "So, when's the baby due?" and he just deadpans, "She's not pregnant, she just sat down wrong and now she looks like it." Then the second time, I hadn't seen my neighbor all winter, and she shows up looking totally bloated and heavy; having learned my lesson, I stay quiet and don't say a word, but after fifteen minutes of chatting, she snaps at me, "Well, it's about time you noticed I'm pregnant!!!"
So yeah, now that I'm actually pregnant, I don't even stress if people notice or not...

Why is it that the second people see me or even hear my name, the first thing out of their mouths is, "So, how much weight have you put on already?" 😠
Honestly, I don't know what's better—I actually managed to drop five pounds at the start of this, and I've only gained back about two so far ☕
It drives me absolutely insane! Look, I'm pregnant, so obviously it's perfectly normal for me to be gaining weight, but I seriously don't get why they feel the need to monitor every single pound 🙄

I just posted a little update on Facebook: 38 weeks!

And immediately, two of my friends hit me up asking how much longer I have left... It’s not like they don't realize how long pregnancy actually lasts—one of them has a toddler who's already a year old, and the other gave birth just three months ago!!! So, I just politely ignored them...

Ugh, tell me about it, I feel you so much😁 some random person messaged me on FB asking how far along I was and basically implying I should have already popped by now 🤷 even though every single week I post that little progress tracker on my wall that clearly spells out exactly where I am, honestly, some people are just freaking weird ☕

I get asked when my deadline is about a million times by the same people.

Look—if you don't care, then don't ask. If you actually do care, just damn well remember it, even if it's just a rough estimate...

I remember back when I was 38 weeks pregnant, a friend asked me:
"So, how heavy is the little guy?"
I told him, "About seven pounds..."
He just stared at my stomach and goes:
"Man, I'd say he's easily over nine pounds." 😲 🤣

It’s driving me crazy that I can't sleep... I feel like I'm losing my mind..
And I don't know why my legs get so restless every single night, right when I'm trying to settle down and drift off...

I might actually snap...

Good morning... It’s getting exhausting—I’m dealing with cramps, bloating, lower abdominal pain, and this constant gas every single night. I’m having to get up maybe four times a night just to use the bathroom, and every time I try to stand up, the pain is just sharp enough to make me groan. 😲

I’m struggling with sleep too; every time I try to roll over, the pain jolts me awake, and turning over becomes an ordeal... my husband says I even groan in my sleep.
On top of that, I’ve started snoring like crazy, so he isn't getting much rest either.🙄
It’s incredibly frustrating being home full-time and not being able to even get basic housework done because the pain kicks in after just ten minutes of cleaning.
Just blissful!! 😉

Yeah, on top of all the sleep issues and having to get up half the night to use the bathroom, there’s also the sweating!!! Honestly, I have no idea what's going on, but my pillow is constantly soaked!

Ugh, tell me about it, cleaning absolutely kills me... and I'm only 30...🙄
Everything that used to take me an hour now takes me at least three times as long... I have to take a break every ten minutes because I get so winded and congested it's actually insane!
I just finished a mountain of dishes from yesterday and I HAVE to sit down before I even attempt ironing... scrubbing the bathroom... mopping the floors... 🤣
And the sleeping... the worst part is when I roll onto my back in the middle of the night and wake up panicking, thinking the baby has definitely turned blue because the position wasn't right... and what if I accidentally roll onto my stomach or something... I'm basically having hallucinations all night long. And when I need to go pee, I barely even try to get up because the thought of dragging myself down those stairs is just too much... 😠

Ugh, and then there was this one night... 🤣 oh god... my husband went out with his buddies for a bit, and he comes home smelling like a brewery (and honestly, he rarely drinks, but when he does...) and he's singing, pinching me, rubbing my belly🙄 ... I told him, "Fine, just go to sleep already, for crying out loud," but as soon as he hit the mattress, he started puking... 😱
So I ended up playing nurse to him for half the night... what a total pig! 😬

I'm dealing with constant drooling myself... honestly, once I start overthinking things, it feels like everything is just leaking out of me! Like, colostrum from my nipples, then if I sneeze even a little bit I lose control of my bladder, and at night I'm just drooling all over my mouth... 🙈

I’ve been dealing with this constant fatigue and some pretty gnarly stomach pains, whether I’ve eaten a ton or nothing at all 😢 plus I found myself deep-diving through Facebook looking at people I haven't even spoken to in two decades... honestly, I'm starting to wonder if I might actually be pregnant 🙄

😂 Yeah, seriously, we’re basically like leaky buckets... and then when everything seems fine and we aren't drooling or leaking urine, it's just constant discharge.................... 🙄

So, there I am at 1:03 PM, standing right at the door of my dentist’s office, ready to get this over with...
Then the dental assistant looks me dead in the eye and goes, "Oh, we aren't seeing anyone else today," ☕"we stop taking patients at 1:00 sharp."
I mean, I was stunned, so I told her, "Wait a second, the sign on your front door clearly says you're open until 2:30!!!!"
And she just gives me this shrug and goes, "Yeah, yeah, but we wrap up appointments by 1:00 because we have to spend the rest of the afternoon on sterilization, so you should just come back tomorrow during our afternoon hours."☕It was just one of those moments where logic completely flies out the window!
