I honestly feel so incredibly lonely and pathetic right now; it feels like I don't have a single friend left in my corner, and finding a boyfriend feels like an impossible mission, too—it's just one thing after another hitting me all at once. I actually had this naive thought that once I finally quit my job, all my friends would suddenly be there for me, but nope, turns out they aren't worth a damn when you're not working. I can't even remember the last time I woke up feeling genuinely happy.😢 I am just so miserable, seriously, so, so, so much...

Look, things aren't gonna get any better unless you actually give it everything you've got. 🙂
I mean, sure, there's always room for improvement, but I don't really know what you're going through, so I can't exactly give you some specific advice or anything. 😍

Like I already said above, it was my friend's behavior that really cut deep. We had this massive falling out, and she honestly couldn't care less, which just leaves me feeling completely isolated,😢😢😢

First off, how old are you actually?
Second—just thinking out loud here—is it that finding new friends feels impossible, or is it more about the struggle of letting go of the old ones?
Are you just not sure how to go about meeting new people, or is it something else entirely...?

Look, if that’s how it’s gonna be, I guess my only real advice is to just start focusing on yourself for once. Seriously. Because later down the road, you might find yourself without any real friends to lean on, and you definitely won't be able to count on some guy to bail you out. So what then? You just gonna sit there and burst into tears? Yeah, I know, it sucks. It's hard. But honestly? You just gotta deal with it. 🤷

I know things are rough right now. But if she just walked away like that, it says everything about her character and nothing about yours. There are plenty of people out there looking for someone exactly like you. You aren't alone in this. Life gets better. You already see what happened—a few things hit you all at once and it just knocked you sideways. It’s temporary. Just remember there are people on here you can reach out to whenever you need to vent or just talk through the frustration. It helps.😉

I honestly can't help but feel like everyone would just have a much easier time if I weren't even around.

Look, if you actually want some help or someone to lean on, please just answer those questions I asked earlier. 😉

I'm 26, I can hold a conversation just fine, but honestly, finding genuine, sincere friends these days feels almost impossible...
I even stepped out just now to grab some cigarettes—and I haven't touched a pack in ages—and even then, it's still a struggle to connect with anyone...🙂

Honestly, if you're looking to make some new friends, the internet is probably your best bet. There are thousands of different sites out there—some dedicated to dating, others just for hanging out—and I know, I know, you’ve probably read all those cynical articles claiming online socializing is "fake" or somehow pathetic. But, in my experience, that’s mostly just noise. It’s actually one of the easiest ways to find people who genuinely get you. You can filter for specific interests or shared viewpoints, which saves so much time. It’s pretty simple: you find someone with the same hobbies, grab a coffee together, and see where things go from there. It really is that straightforward.
Just get moving—give it your best shot and try to track them down. 😉
