USA Today is reporting on some claims from the New York Post suggesting that Josip Broz Marshall left behind something like $2 billion in Swiss bank accounts, which—get this—was apparently amassed during the interwar years through various stock holdings in some hotel over in Austria.
I mean, seriously, what kind of lunatic actually sits on $2 billion? If I had that kind of cash, instead of playing revolutionary, I’d be busy chasing women in Hawaii or Tahiti and focusing on high-stakes business deals, not spending five years rotting in a cell for the sake of communism, only to turn around, organize an army, and spend the rest of my life retreating through godforsaken backwaters with my dignity in tatters.

Look, he enjoyed himself, there's no denying that.
But it wasn't his private property, and it didn't pass down to his kids either. You couldn't just wander onto Brijuni. And honestly, tell me where you don't see elites acting like this today. You couldn't get onto Brijuni or a few other spots where Marshall used to hang out, and that was that.
That's why nowadays, every single tycoon—usually through some illegal loophole—fences off a stretch of beach, leaving you to try and find a spot to swim if you're lucky enough.

The New York Post isn't exactly some cheap tabloid, unlike the New York Post or the Press. Look, Stjepan Đureković was murdered because he exposed the criminal activities of Mike Špiljko at INI. Back then, the communists were stealing far more than anyone does today, but there wasn't any opposition or media presence to call them out. Josip Broz Marshall ruled this country for thirty-five years like a Pharaoh—like he was God. He owned everything.

It’s a shame this didn't come to light twenty-nine years ago when he passed away, but I suppose Eleanor should enjoy herself while she still can; she certainly went through quite a lot during her time living in New York City.
She should go ahead and buy an island in the US or maybe somewhere in Mexico, find some young guy, and spend her days playing games with Michael Bloomberg and his spokesperson.

Buying an island in the Caribbean might be a bit of a stretch since they’ve pretty much all been snapped up by Russians already... though I suppose she’d be perfectly content living in a multi-million dollar mansion in Beverly Hills that the City is footing the bill to renovate.
