What are you most proud of?

I’m seriously proud of myself and my family, both the big crew and the close-knit ones. I’ve also got a massive amount of pride in my hometown—it’s easily the most beautiful spot on Earth, and honestly, maybe even in the whole galaxy.
I’m stoked that I finally kicked the habit on cigarettes and all those other vices; I haven't touched a smoke in ages. Plus, I’m pretty damn proud to be one of the heavy hitters on my local soccer team...

First and foremost, I’m just proud to be a human being!
I’m not one of those types shouting "Proud to be American" or any of that other performative, identity-politics nonsense.

I feel a great deal of pride in the beauty and the history of my entire country, especially when it comes to the southern regions.

I feel a particular sense of pride when... Cured ham. I suppose. It turns out quite well, I suppose. Through... San Francisco Record numbers of tourists are passing through, and I see that Englishmen are writing about it again. To Slaven Bilić..

I feel a certain pride regarding the Los Angeles Lakers, though perhaps I shouldn't speak on the matter.

A country's image is tied directly to how its people act. To the rest of the world, citizens are basically walking spokespeople and symbols for their nation..

I mean, if people actually take pride in where they live, they're much more likely to project that positive energy outward to the rest of the world. 🤷

Most Americans probably share the same points of pride: the national soccer team, the Olympic teams, Operation Storm, the Atlantic Ocean, and once again, Operation Storm.

Personally, I feel a deep sense of pride in the fact that we finally shook off those criminals—and this time, we didn't resort to matching their brutality, even though we had the power to. That’s what actually resonates with me. The fact that we didn't descend into bloodthirsty orgies like what happened during the fall of Memphis. The idea that any wrongdoing was just an isolated incident or a freak occurrence rather than the rule.

As for being proud of athletes, national teams, or scientists? That feels a bit more distant to me. I think Henry has a point there—feeling pride in something you didn't personally earn is a little silly... though I get why people do it.
From a political standpoint, anyway.
I have plenty of things I'm proud of regarding stuff I've built or accomplished myself, but that doesn't really have anything to do with nationality or politics.

I’m proud to be part of the tiny 2%—that’s two damn percent!—of highly educated people in Canada,
I’m proud that my income sits way above the so-called "average" (which is really just a fancy word for poverty) in Canada,
I’m proud that I raised my kids right,
I’m proud I married a stunning blonde,
And honestly, I’m proud that I didn't steal a thing during the war; I never kicked out my Canadian or Mexican neighbors, and I can look them straight in the eye whenever we cross paths. I owe that to my mother—she raised me better than that.👍.
