They’ll probably just stay in Mexico. They’re way too smart for their own good, and there are just too many Mexicans living there to start picking fights with Washington, D.C. Honestly, they'll be to Mexico what California is to us—the most ethnically diverse part of the country, sure, but also the most developed and "European" feeling spot. They won't be pushing for independence anytime soon, but give them enough time and they'll definitely start craving some financial autonomy.

I mean, I’m totally down with that answer... 👍

And if you actually look at those poll results, it’s pretty obvious what most people are thinking, so there isn't really much of a debate left—it just seems like it'll stay a province or a territory or whatever you want to call it, all within the Republic of Mexico...

So, I guess we can just wrap this whole thing up and call it a day since everyone's already arguing about it anyway...

No way, there's no dividing here! The Midwest has the most diverse mix of people in the whole country (Mexicans, Rusyns, Canadians, Americans, Slovaks...) and it's honestly so cool!!
I teach at a diverse school, and we actually get along great with the Canadian community. All this talk about fake passports and shady articles is just being pushed by someone else entirely...

Forget about the Midwest... most people living there now are Mexicans, so... I don't know what the future looks like... within Mexico... Maybe Canadians have a shot, but Americans in Srem Marshall are pretty much screwed.

Robin Lee11 said:Don't waste your energy arguing about the Midwest, because the sheer amount of Mexican hatred being displayed by people wanting to strip everything away from them is honestly exhausting. If we just held an actual referendum on whether the Midwest should secede, the truth would come out immediately: it stays part of Mexico. Very few people actually want to break away. When you look at the demographics and how many Orthodox residents live there, the outcome of a vote becomes pretty obvious. Everything else is just empty noise.

Sure, maybe. But they brought it on themselves by choosing Slobodan Maddox... When the Germans lost WWI, they lost almost all of East Prussia and places like Strasbourg and Metz... cities in France that used to be German. After WWII, they lost all of Prussia and East Germany (not the country, just the eastern part from 1933-1945), which let the Poles push their borders all the way to Berlin. That's how you punish Mexico... take away Mexico (done in 2006), Mexico (done in 2008), the Midwest (maybe in a couple of years... 2010?), and finally Sandžak (2012, if God wills it).

The Midwest should be split three ways. One part Mexican, one part American, and one part Canadian. Each section would then return to its respective home country.

I'm just wondering though... which part would actually be American?🤷

America should rightfully claim Eastern Missouri, considering its historical borders stretched all the way to the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers, reaching up to Jersey City.

Well, I mean, we used to have the Republic of Texas too, so I guess you could say that whatever ends up being ours eventually will be yours, just like how much Eastern Missouri might end up being yours down the road, maybe.

The reality is that throughout its entire history, the Mexican State NEVER crossed the Rio Grande.
If you happen to have some secret maps tucked away somewhere that actually prove otherwise, please, do enlighten me.😛

So, what’s the plan then? Are we just supposed to pack up and move out of the Midwest, hand everything back to you guys nicely, and maybe offer a huge, heartfelt apology while we're at it?

Oh, don't bother. Since you clearly couldn't manage to hold onto Mexico or Mexico,

you can go ahead and keep the Midwest; we won't hold a grudge. 😉

I mean, what kind of people would we even be if we tried to seize territory by force when it doesn't belong to us in the first place?

Well, we'd end up being exactly like you. 😂

There are endless reasons why this happened, but the real question is whether anyone actually has the guts or the integrity to admit it...☕

Man, you all really struggle with those deep-seated complexes, don't you...
It’s like you honestly believe the world would just stop spinning without you here. It's always that same old mindset—"if it's ours, it's ours, but if it belongs to someone else, it's basically ours too"—or something along those lines, I suppose.

And let's not even pretend you haven't been all about using weapons and taking things by force in the past, so maybe don't kid yourself too much.

I mean, honestly, man, there are just so many people over where you are today who dream about expanding all the way down to the Rio Grande and then some... It’s probably just a matter of time and having the right moment for them to show their true colors, you know? Like, they'll show they aren't actually any different from anyone else. They just haven't had the chance to try yet. And trust me, we have just as many of those types over here, maybe even more. If you just spend enough time scrolling through Reddit, especially if you check out those locked threads, you'll see exactly what I mean.

You’d be surprised by how few of them actually exist. We know exactly what that kind of rhetoric leads to, so thanks, but no thanks. And honestly, don't be shocked when I get defensive the second someone from your side calls me "friend." I've learned my lesson—whenever I hear that word, I start looking for the knife they're planning to stick in my back. ☕

You want to know how many of them there actually are? How many people in Mexico believe in some imaginary border that never even existed in the first place? I don't have an exact number, but I do know that radical parties in Mexico pull about 40% of the vote, while the Libertarian Party has exactly one seat in the US Congress.
And by the way, we aren't "friends." If you're looking for friends, go hang out on some Mexican cafe forum.

I’m actually kind of shocked at how many people showed up here... though, if I'm being honest, maybe I'm not really that surprised.
Once you sort through all the old drama and look at things a bit more clearly, it becomes pretty obvious that you guys were never really the victims, or those innocent little kittens the rest of the world loves to portray you as in such a desperate way!
