Look, I’m certainly not suggesting that her mother should just swallow everything she says! Isn't it enough to simply let her know that you don't agree with those views and that you have absolutely no intention of bowing down to them? Shouldn't someone at least point out where the friction is happening, right? After all, how on earth are you supposed to realize you're doing something "wrong" if you never actually speak up and say so? 🙂

Besides, she did mention that she’s working on getting everything back in order at her own pace, which honestly feels so much more productive than just sitting around moping, don't you think?🙂

Christian Sanchez4 said:That sounds great, but if you don't mind me asking, how old is she actually? And do you tell her everything else besides that😁
?

Look, if she asks me anything, I’m just going to tell her straight up that I’ll answer only if I’m actually in the mood, because if I'm not feeling it, there’s just no point in talking! Has it really made me rude or disrespectful? Honestly, if I hadn't started standing my ground—and believe me, I have every valid reason and right to do so—wouldn't I still be sitting here like a child, having to ask my mom for permission to go out or sending her constant updates on everything I'm doing? 🙄 Things have been a bit of a rollercoaster lately with our relationship, swinging between hot and cold quite a bit, but honestly, everything feels like it's finally settling into a really lovely, steady groove now! Isn't it just such a relief when that turbulence finally dies down and you can actually enjoy the calm?

I actually have my age listed right there on my profile if you're curious! Isn't it funny how much we tend to obsess over those little details? 🙂

You really need to embrace that and just start living your own life, regardless of what Mom thinks about you. At the end of the day, she’s your mother, but you are your own person. You just need to become🙂 independent. All those other arguments and constant questioning will just lead you straight to a dead end.😉

👍
That's the key.
