If Palestinians truly aspire to establish a sovereign state, their leadership must prioritize the consistent containment of extremists within their own ranks. As it stands, whether intentional or not, they leave one with the impression that they lack the basic capacity for self-governance.

...since the very beginning of this whole mess, there’s been fighting over territory...that’s really the core of it...people keep trying to draw parallels to what happened back home, but the reality is different...Arabs have been pushed out of tons of areas...they're squeezed into the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, kind of like if Americans were suddenly forced into a tiny corner of the suburbs around Washington, D.C....or maybe stuck near San Francisco...

...the only way out is for both sides to figure out how to live side-by-side in equality, otherwise we're never going to see an end to this tragedy...
