Look, we’re talking about purely physical stuff here. Lately, my head feels like it’s overheating, and honestly, my whole body is just radiating heat. It’s not even like this started because of the weather or anything. To make matters worse, I feel like my eye is actually stuck shut—just a total sensation of burning. And get this: I don't even have a fever. I've tried hopping in the shower, but it doesn't do squat; I'll get about fifteen minutes of relief before the sweat starts pouring again, even though I'm dressed in basically nothing. I have no clue what's going on. I just want to fix this because I feel absolutely miserable.

I suppose that might just be another one of those classic anxiety symptoms we deal with 🙂

I used to deal with that exact same thing in the afternoons—it was always my low blood pressure acting up.
What’s your blood pressure usually like?

I feel the exact same way. Like, just yesterday while I was traveling, the AC was cranked up to the max, but my head and hands still felt totally overheated. It’s probably just some side effect from my meds, but maybe it's blood pressure or anxiety too... nothing crazy, I guess.

I honestly have no idea how I’m going to deal with this. My thyroid hormone results are coming back this Tuesday, even though it’s technically a separate issue from everything else going on.

honestly, sounds like pure anxiety to me... nothing to do with anything else, just all in your head. Is this hitting you randomly or has it been constant?

It’s been going on for quite a while now. Honestly, I can't even put my finger on why I'm feeling so anxious.

There could be a dozen different reasons why she’s feeling anxious, and honestly, you’re probably going to have to figure that out through trial and error on your own.
It’s really important to pay attention to when these feelings actually kick in. Is it tied to specific triggers, like maybe something happening at work?
Or is it more like generalized anxiety—that constant, nagging cloud that follows you around all day, where you can't even find a pattern? Like, imagine waking up on a quiet Sunday morning, sitting there with your Starbucks coffee and the newspaper, and suddenly feeling that chest tightness for no apparent reason.
In my experience, I think we tend to spiral when we lose our footing in life. Maybe some external circumstances shake your self-confidence, leaving you unsure if things are ever going to stabilize again. It’s that terrifying sensation that you’ve lost the steering wheel of your own life—like bad things are just happening out of nowhere, totally random and senseless, and there isn't a damn thing you can do to stop them.

I don't know, I kind of feel like my anxiety has finally started to dial back a bit.

If you're feeling less anxious, then you’re clearly just reacting to this insane weather. Honestly, I think summer as we once knew it is completely dead. Every couple of days, we have roofs being ripped off by storms somewhere in the US, and every single day, chunks of the coastline are literally scorching. The humidity is absolutely unbearable, and people are dying on the roads—it's like flies swarming around. It’s not just about "bad weekends" anymore; every single day feels grim out there on the highways. We’re all losing our minds from the heat, the moisture in the air, the pressure, and the constant stream of catastrophic news hitting our screens.

Look, you’re right—call me a weather fanatic if you want, I’ll take the title. But seriously, does anyone know if there's an actual alternative to dealing with this? It's incredibly uncomfortable, and honestly, I’m getting pretty tired of having to jump in the shower every single time the humidity spikes just to feel human again.

There’s really no catch here. You just have to be one of those incredibly disciplined people who lives the whole "wellness" lifestyle—you know the type. They eat organic everything, stay hydrated constantly, hit the gym three times a week, get their eight hours of sleep, and basically refuse to let anything stress them out... It’s exhausting, honestly. It's like being a slave to the routine. But, if you aren't quite ready to commit to that level of perfection, just try rubbing some cream containing menthol or eucalyptus oil on your feet and palms instead—something like Biofreeze or a Deep Relief gel. Just one tiny warning: if you do that, do NOT accidentally touch your face or, heaven forbid, your eyes, because you will absolutely regret it!

You should probably get your thyroid checked.

Ugh, tell me about it... I’m going through the exact same thing! It feels like this intense heat radiating from my thighs up into my pelvic area, right where my ovaries are. I even went to see my OB-GYN and they were like, "Everything looks perfectly normal," which doesn't help at all. It's been dragging on for months now, just this incredibly annoying, nagging sensation... And honestly? I have no idea why everyone keeps insisting it’s anxiety!!! 😕

I think I’m going to have to head back over to the mechanic at Pep Boys; my car is acting up again and giving me nothing but trouble down in the chassis.
