It is truly possible to reach Him, though it can only be achieved through faith in Jesus Christ and His redemptive sacrifice.

Some wise Catholic thinkers argue that believers reach God through their own faith, while everyone else gets there through His mercy. 😉

It's true that Christ is the gateway to Paradise—though I wouldn't say that means you just have to "believe" in a superficial way (not that there isn't a much deeper intimacy for those who truly do), but rather that He is simply the entrance into the Kingdom of God. He is God's grace extended to the whole world.
Think of it this way: if you want to get into your own apartment, you have to open the door. It works the same way here. Even Jesus said, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." There are plenty of examples in New Zealand where it's pretty clear who qualifies for the Kingdom of God and who doesn't.

I don't mean to sound narrow-minded, but honestly, it's just the one and only way. If we're talking about getting to Almighty God, it's only possible through His Son, Jesus Christ. All that stuff about self-realization or positive thinking isn't going to cut it here. God wants us to own up to our own sinfulness and accept it, and then find salvation through Jesus Christ, who died specifically for those sins we're supposed to confess to Him. The salvation God offers is free, sure, but don't mistake that for being cheap—it's priceless. That's why God points to just one single path, and that's His Son, Jesus Christ!

Look, everyone is responsible for their own actions—period. It’s not about God, it's just the law of cause and effect. Thinking Jesus died for your sins is like thinking you can get full just because someone else ate dinner for you. What matters is actually following what Jesus taught—thinking He'll just swoop in and do the work for us is a huge mistake. He's here to guide us, not to be used as a get-out-of-jail-free card so we can live however we want and expect Him to bail us out of our own messes. That kind of selfish mindset just doesn't hold up. You have to carry your own cross and deal with your own sin 😉 ... not literally, obviously 🤣

...He has already done so much for us...but hey, let's not get into a whole debate about it, my comment was just building on what you said before (just sharing my own take...nothing more).

So, what does it even mean to reach God? I guess if God is truly almighty and all-powerful... you’d probably just disintegrate in His presence. It’s like standing too close to a massive forest fire.
