Let me give you my take on this. I sat for the exam back in October, and the turnout was massive—honestly, they actually turned people away because there wasn't enough room, making up all sorts of excuses just to keep the numbers down. Generally, these exams happen monthly, except during the summer, December, and the month containing Easter. It’s not an impossible mountain to climb if you're prepared, since the questions are identical to what's in the study guide. 🙂 There were three groups of about 90+ people each; from what I can see, roughly 20 people in my group failed. If you actually know the material, you just need to read the questions a few times and watch out for those sneaky little traps—like asking for one specific regulation, but providing answers that technically belong to a different one, meaning none of them are actually correct.
Anyway, a few new questions popped up—maybe six in total. Four of them deal with claims assistance in insurance, then there's a question about how much notice a policyholder has to give the insurer if they want to cancel (I think I put 3 days, but I'm not 100% certain), and I'm blanking on the last one, sorry 🙂
Here’s my move: I left the testing site early and headed straight to the local Starbucks near the venue. You can always find folks from the first group there, grabbing coffee and dissecting everything while waiting for results. That’s how I found out all the questions were exactly the same across all three groups. Now, the real problem is for the people stuck in that first group.
Good luck to all the future agents and brokers 🙂))
