Water rates are climbing by 15 percent for Chicagoans
Starting January 1st, 2007, Chicago households will see a 15.9 percent jump in their water rates per cubic meter. Meanwhile, businesses and other sectors are looking at a 28.1 percent increase, following a decision made today during a meeting of the City of Chicago Government.

Keep it moving, Milan Gdje Stigne!

Nothing surprising here, honestly. This has been coming down the pipeline for ages.
We’re basically famous for price hikes at this point.
Expect utility bills to keep climbing, too.

Maybe he should focus on cutting back the spending for LA Galaxy instead of raising water rates.

Chicago may indeed have the largest budget, but I suppose the average Chicagoan doesn't really have that kind of money.

Alright, but—what are we talking about in absolute terms here? Like, what’s the actual damage for a typical Chicagoan on their water bill right now? Just looking for a baseline for comparison, you know?

Why even stress about this? At least Chicagoans pull in the highest salaries in the US. What are people in much smaller towns supposed to say—especially when they’ve been paying more for water since back in 2007, all while living on a fraction of what a Chicagoan makes?

It isn’t just the water rates—parking fees are climbing too. Still, they have to recoup those $120 million that vanished—especially with all those loans and debts coming due.
It’ll be quite the experience when they consolidate all the utility bills into one single payment; if you miss the municipal fee, you’ll find yourself without electricity, water, or gas...

Putting everything on one single bill is a total joke. What do they think, that I’ve got a magic money tree? Between my autopay, some cash payments, and the times I fall behind, I’m not about to get hit with a massive $500 bill all at once. They can take that idea and shove it. Honestly, just put all the statements in one envelope and mail it out—keep it simple and leave me alone...

Tom Bradley—really let us down on this one.

Our wages aren't actually higher. That average salary looks inflated just because all the wealthy Americans live in New York City.
And in places like Florida, you've got all these vacationers moving in.
When you lump their paychecks together with a hundred other people and divide it up, of course the average ends up looking like $10k.
My parents don't even make $7k combined, and they both work full-time.

Please, Los Angeles FC should be paying him an extra few million euros while they're at it.
