fadedpuma21 said:To my fellow members—I’ve been lurking on this forum for quite some time now, and honestly, it has been an absolute lifesaver. Right now, I am deep in the weeds trying to sort out photography and videography services. It seems Fox and Siniša Srdanović are already booked up for my date; and while everyone keeps telling me I need to find a solid crew for my California wedding, I’m completely lost, which has left me feeling pretty overwhelmed. I looked into Ivica matica, but frankly, his rates are astronomical—plus, he strikes me as being a bit full of himself. I’m still waiting to hear back from the guys over at Studio In and Nikola Smernić (Studio Papaja) before I make any moves.
I’ve been scouring various forums, but I haven't had much luck finding real feedback. Has anyone here actually worked with Foto Zumba (http://www.fotograf-vjencanja.com/)? Their online portfolio looks decent enough, but I’d much rather hear a firsthand account of what they’re actually like to work with.

Thanks in advance!!

I’ve heard of them! A friend of mine had her godmother’s party shot by her—her husband was playing music with the band Kocka—and she offered to snap some shots too (they actually had a professional photographer on hand). Since she wasn't the "lead photographer" and was just shooting candidly from the sidelines, I can't give a super objective review, but from what I saw, the quality was totally solid.

I'm backing Ivica Matić. Totally professional, the shots look phenomenal. Yeah, we've been waiting two months for the truth, but honestly, they're worth the wait..😍😍

What is the seating cost at Bolero, what is the capacity, and how is the air conditioning? Please share your experiences. Thank you.

I attended my first big party at the Bolero venue earlier this year, and honestly, I have zero complaints about the experience itself...
The setup was great—we had about 150 guests, but the place felt spacious enough because there was plenty of room between the tables and a massive dance floor to work with, plus the food was decent and the service was top-notch.
The only real letdown was the dessert; they were their own house-made sweets, but if I’m being blunt, they were pretty mediocre, kind of like those dry, uninspired pastries you pick up from a grocery store bakery.👎

So, we finally locked in the venue—an Elvis Presley ballroom—for October 11th. I’ve heard nothing but glowing reviews about the place, which is pretty much why we pulled the trigger. The aesthetic is great and the food is supposed to be top-tier. My only real hang-up was when the manager mentioned they might provide their own dessert spread. Honestly? Not happening. I know so many amazing women who make incredible homemade treats, and I'd much rather have those. So, for now, we’ve struck a deal: we’ll take the wedding cake and champagne from them, but all the other desserts will be homemade.🙏
Also, does anyone happen to know what their wine selection is like? I know nobody cares, but it’s actually on my mind.😕

I’ve heard nothing but glowing reviews about their salads and everything else, though I wasn't aware of their dessert selection. Is it possible to bring my own baked goods? Also, what is the rental fee for a chair? Do they provide colored chair covers and bows, or am I expected to bring my own?
thank you.

Hi everyone, I need some intel from anyone who’s held their wedding at the Bellevue in Savannah and had guests staying on-site as well. Did they bill you by the room or per person? Thanks.

God, can someone please point me in the right direction—does anyone know where I can rent one of those bubble machines? You know, the ones that blow those massive soapy bubbles... I’m not even sure if there's a technical term for it, but I'm certain you all know exactly what I mean!

Also, if anyone happens to know a really talented makeup artist over in Savannah, let me know.

Thanks a million!!

Brian Martin98 said:hey, sorry about that 🙂

There's a salon called Maya right across from the Bellevue—you know, near the Hilton. They do great hair; they did mine for my wedding and a bunch of my friends too.

I'll send you the number for that bakery over by the marina via DM.

Best!

I was also wondering—should I ask for someone specific at that salon, or is everyone there pretty much a pro? Even though I live in San Diego, I've actually never stepped foot in there, nor do I know anyone who gets their hair done there!

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone might have (and I know 🙂 definitely does) a copy of the price list or the various service packages? Specifically, I’m looking for the rates provided by I. Matic. If someone could send those my way, I would be so grateful... 🙂

I really have to give a shout-out to fable !!!!!
The food was absolutely top-tier, served exactly when you wanted it, and the drinks were never in short supply—the second a bottle started looking low, they were already there to replace it. The servers were flying around non-stop, constantly checking in to see if we needed anything else or if we were missing a thing; honestly, the whole experience was just seamless.

The band was absolutely phenomenal!!!! They completely blew me and all my guests away. It was non-stop music, perfect dance tracks—everything was perfectly synchronized with the wedding party's vibe!
The dance floor was packed the entire night!

Oh man, that sounds amazing.

Something like that is exactly what we needed to hear—especially for those of us who already put down a deposit at fable !!!!! 😍
And especially after all those comments about there not being enough food... now I can finally breathe a little easier.

When I went, there were two younger women working and one slightly older woman who did my hair—she seemed to be the manager or owner, though I can't recall her name. It’s like picking a restaurant; just go in for a trial run and see if you like the vibe. Their prices weren't outrageous either. The most expensive style was around $67, and I actually paid a little bit less than that.

Hey everyone... I’ve been scrolling through this forum for two days straight, hoping I might finally stumble upon an answer to one specific question 😁
Basically, word on the street is that The Beatles have been playing local dive bars lately... so we were wondering if anyone here has actually caught one of their sets? Or better yet, does anyone know how to actually track them down? Hallelujah 🙂

Has any woman from Miami ordered cakes or pastries from Zenith or Viacom lately?

Well, a friend of mine used to order from Viacom... I mean, their pastries are seriously top-tier, and they even do delivery right to your door.😉

I saw one of those machines a few years back at a local county fair at one of the booths; mostly parents were buying them for their kids. It makes those little bubbles—you know, the kind blown from soapy water. I remember thinking at the time how cool that would be for a wedding... they were only about five bucks back then. I haven't seen them much since, and honestly, I never got around to hunting one down :-(
