fadedpuma21 said:I saw one of those machines a few years back at a local county fair at one of the booths; mostly parents were buying them for their kids. It makes those little bubbles—you know, the kind blown from soapy water. I remember thinking at the time how cool that would be for a wedding... they were only about five bucks back then. I haven't seen them much since, and honestly, I never got around to hunting one down :-(

I just stepped out of the Bolero venue in San Francisco, and I am absolutely blown away. The manager was incredibly helpful; he walked us through everything and explained how the process works. He clarified that we aren't barred from bringing our own desserts—we just need to provide a certificate or a receipt showing where they were purchased to ensure everyone is protected. We’re heading back this Saturday to see how the space looks set up for the reception before making our final call, but honestly, I think we've found "the one." The venue is perfect!

Has anyone here done a wedding on Maui? We saw some photos from a ceremony in Palm Springs that looked absolutely stunning 😍

I am so happy to hear that... you’ll truly see the magic once the decor is finished and everything is perfectly set up... that was the moment it completely won us over...

I need some assistance. We still have to book our photographer and videographer, but I can't seem to find the vendor list on the forum. If anyone has any recommendations, I would truly appreciate it, as I am completely lost regarding typical pricing and lead times.
Please help.
Thank you.

The photographer who used to take our shots over at Shutterfly has actually gone out and opened his own studio. He’s running it alongside his wife, and honestly, the quality of his work is top-tier. His name is Henry. If you’re interested in getting in touch, just shoot me a message via Gmail 🙂

I’ve actually got a solid recommendation for a photographer. It’s this young married couple—their work is truly top-tier... you can check them out on Facebook at Jurica Veić 🙏🙏🙏. Honestly, beyond the talent, they are just absolute gems to work with...
I’ve scrolled through several weddings they’ve shot, and they actually did my photos once too, though for a different occasion...👍

Quick question—does anyone know where I can pick up two white pigeons? I want them to be released right after the wedding ceremony in front of the church... thanks for the help! 😍

Just wanted to drop a quick note to praise the banquet hall for their mashed potatoes—Castello-Kaštel Staffilić. Honestly, all the negativity you hear from people is nothing but pure fiction. We had our wedding there last Saturday, and both the service and the food were absolutely stellar... truly top-tier. Not to mention, they served homemade gnocchi with the beef stew... so, I highly recommend this venue if you're looking for quality.

I'll check with a buddy of mine who's actually into pigeon racing and see what he says; I'll let you know once I get a quote on the price and everything else.

Hi everyone, I have two quick questions for the group. First, would anyone be willing to share some photos of the Bellevue Ballroom in San Francisco? I have a wedding coming up there, but my memory of the venue is pretty hazy—all I can really recall is the marble flooring. I have this vague impression that the walls might be pink, but I’m not entirely sure 😂, and I need to finalize my color palette, floral arrangements, and overall theme. It’s hard to plan when you aren't certain what you're working with.
Second, does anyone have recommendations for lighting and event design companies in the San Francisco area? Most of the advice on this forum seems to point toward vendors in New York or Los Angeles, so I haven't found much local information yet. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Oh my gosh,
regarding the lighting situation:

And as for the venue itself—well, if it isn't too far of a drive for you, why not just head back down there and take another look in person? It'll clear everything right up!

Best,

Thanks for the link.... I’d love to handle this myself, but I’m a few 249 miles away from being able to manage it, which is why I reached out to a lady on the forum for some help...
