Thanks, ladies—you guys are lifesavers... Honestly, I’m starting to spiral a little bit thinking about organizing this pirate party out in California. My partner is originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, but I’m a total West Coast girl through and through... Ugh, I think I’m going to need some extra hands on deck for this one.

Forgive me if I'm being blunt, but I hope nobody takes offense.
Your signature is way too long. It really should be three lines max, so I'd suggest changing it unless you want to 🙂 switch 😂 modes 😂😂

lovely.....

so, any other recommendations? Ideally someone willing to fly out and play a gig in Savannah.

I know for a fact that Bravo Band heads out to California sometimes—I actually caught them playing at a party there and saw them live for the first time.

And hey, let's not turn this thread into a group chat. If you want wedding planners in California, go elsewhere—otherwise, we’re doomed. Slavka will just DM you the numbers for all the local makeup artists instead.

Hey everyone!!! Let me get straight to the point—we’ve officially decided on a destination wedding for next September. Honestly, I thought I was being smart by taking things slow since we have plenty of time, but after reading through all your posts, I’ve realized I am way behind the curve... and now I’m starting to panic. I have absolutely no clue where to host it, what to do about music, nothing... We’re looking at about 210 guests, so we definitely need a larger venue, but I don’t want to go completely broke doing this either... ugh... If anyone can help me out, pleaseeeee!!!

Of course we can help.
Here is my initial take:

For a crowd that size, check out these venues: Bolero in San Francisco,
Dolis, or Phoenix....
Where are you leaning? San Francisco or maybe somewhere in the outskirts? 😕
P.S. My advice? Go check out the Wedding in California thread. There are always tons of women posting there, so you'll get tips and info much faster.😍

Maybe San Francisco, Oakland, or perhaps somewhere like Malibu—something along those lines. Anyway, I'll probably swing by that area for a bit. Thanks.

San Francisco: I'm thinking just Bolero and Kokolo... Gusar feels a little outdated, honestly, having the Rose Bowl in a truck... Nirs
Oakland: Castello
Dugopolje: Dolis, Phoenix, and Sun

Ladies, feel free to fill in the blanks if I missed anything...😁

Do you have any idea what kind of music they'd want? That, and the photography, can be a real headache too...

So you've got Dolis over in Dugopolje
Bolero in San Francisco
Bellevue in Trogir
Maestral in Plano
Holy Cross in Ciovo
Castello Dugopolje in Oakland

Those venues can definitely handle that many guests... hey, you should just come to our wedding in California!😉

Kate Allen2 said:Hello,

We are currently scouting for a band. Has anyone here worked with the group Visa? How is their wedding management, what are their rates, etc.? Any insights would be appreciated.🙂

🙂God, I've got Nera x playing for us next October—you can find everything about them on Google and YouTube... they're around $2,000, I guess. Their number is on their website.

But hey, everyone's hiking up their prices. I think Holy Cross is looking like $42 for next year....

Three guys from the band VREMEPLOV played for us... The lead singer, Josip, has an absolutely incredible voice. Everyone got chills listening to our national anthem! Their repertoire is diverse too—they have everything... Plus, they perform everywhere; I heard they already have over 40 weddings booked for next year... They probably charge around $900 per gig, which is worth it because they are a fantastic trio... My highest praise!!!

🙂Ladies—if anyone happens to have a number for a decent cocktail bartender—or maybe someone from the kocka Šečer group knows one—please send it over. THANKS!

The place is nice and I heard the service is great, but man, I hate that massive eyesore of a building it's in. Whatever, there's 100 people attending, 100 people. It doesn't matter.

Does anyone happen to have any specific recommendations or thoughts regarding the band Marinero, Trend Band, or perhaps Aspalatos ???

So, what's the deal? You just don't like the color of the building?

The ground floor is all commercial space... plus there's a hotel right under the hall where you can stash your guests (which is exactly what I'm planning to do). At the end of the day, nobody is looking at the architecture of the building—they're there for the ballroom. 😳As for the hall, the service, and everything else... honestly, I can't say enough good things.👍

Hey there, I'm getting married next year!
I was wondering if anyone has some band recommendations? Also, does anyone know what the deal is with Vice and Vilma?

So, our wedding went down on August 23rd over at the Manhattan, and we had the Virgin Group playing for us. I just have to say, they absolutely nailed everything we talked about—they were incredible and honestly turned the whole night into one massive party. Even now, people are still pulling me aside asking where on earth we found such an amazing band. It’s funny because, about a year ago, I was right where many of you are, scouring various forums and searching everywhere for the perfect group, so I figured I should probably pay it forward and share the intel. If you're looking for top-tier entertainment, a truly professional crew, and a night that is pure, unadulterated chaos in the best way possible, then the Virgin Group is my unsolicited recommendation.

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well.
