Hey everyone, I’m planning my wedding for next year and would love to get your thoughts... I was originally looking at Sky or maybe Say Yes for the venue, but I've also heard good things about NIRS and wanted to know if anyone here has any firsthand experience there? Also, if you have any recommendations for a band or a photographer, I was leaning toward Taxi Band and Jukica Studio, but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks 🙂

Hey fadedsurfer54,
Regarding Say Yes—yeah, they’re charging 38 €. The manager there is actually quite charming, but I have a major gripe with the layout: the dance floor is positioned such that you can't see it from every corner of the room, which is a total dealbreaker for me. They do offer an outdoor option with a tent for weddings, which looks absolutely stunning, but let's be real—that comes with a massive price hike...
Now, Nirs is at 36 €, and honestly, I think it's a great pick if your guest list stays under 160 people. If you go over that number, they switch to rectangular tables instead of rounds, and frankly, I wasn't a fan of that setup...
As for Sky, I believe it's around 42 €, though I haven't had a chance to look into them deeply yet.
Then there's Ino, I think they're about 35 €... hm, it's okay, I guess. If you're looking near Castleton, you should definitely consider the Castle hall (35 euros), and if you want something in Miami, you've got Bolero and Ari available for around 40 euros.

I’ve never personally heard Taxi Band play, but word on the street is they’re fantastic—except for the fact that they want 2,200 dollars, which I find absolutely outrageous. Most bands are hovering around the 2,000 mark, which is already way too much in my book, but I refuse to pay that extra 200 just out of pure principle.

As for photographers? I am completely lost there too—I definitely need some help finding someone good, haha.😉

I'm totally with e+te regarding those music prices; they've become outrageously expensive lately, when you know there's plenty of amazing music available for way less.

Finding a photographer really just boils down to how much you're willing to bleed, but there are plenty of options out there.

I'm getting married on November 21st at Ino Hall! Honestly, the venue is amazing. Tons of my friends and family have held their parties there and it's always such a blast!

Thanks for the info, you guys have been a huge help. Regarding the photographer, I'm planning on reaching out to Jukic soon. Does anyone happen to know anything about a photographer named Maria Paparella?

Anyone know a good seamstress or tailor? Not looking for some big-name designer or anything, just someone who actually knows their stuff and does solid work...

Heyyy everyone! 🙂)) quick question—does anyone know what the damage is for the snacks over at Zenith? Like, how much are those crunchy ones running? Thanks so muchooo!

I'm actually eyeing a wedding for a decade from now myself, haha. I was thinking about booking Boss, Viva, or Milan Terze for the band... As for photos, I've been scrolling through Facebook and narrowed my top three down to Ante Gašpar, Bonačić Studio, and Tonći Čerina. Now I'm just stuck in this massive dilemma, lol
Which month would you pick?

Urgent request: I need some background music for a catering gig this summer. It’s just a two-hour thing before the wedding ceremony at the church. Hit me up in my inbox!!

When I was looking for a croquembouche cake, I was really hunting for something about 20 inches tall $833, which might be totally fine for some people, but honestly, it felt like a total waste of money to me, though I did spot in their catalog that they have stuff at Saint Duje starting from around $333 and up, and obviously the final price changes based on whether you want Ticino or slag or whatever decorations you pick, so you should probably just go grab a catalog and check out the pricing yourself... I'm actually heading over to Viacom in a few days, so I'll let you know what the damage is once I see them...

Has anyone been looking at or buying any art in San Francisco lately? I was wondering what the current price ranges are looking like.

So I actually went out looking for some pieces just the other day and after checking out all the different jewelers in the city, I ended up going to Vagus because they seriously have a massive selection and their prices are super reasonable, plus I was worried about getting hit with a huge $1333, but they actually gave me a discount and ended up making it $833, and since I was specifically hunting for stuff with zircons, they were really the only ones with a decent variety to choose from so I'm totally happy with how it turned out...😁

Ugh, we'll see... though I heard you have to pay for the cake three days in advance. That is honestly such a ridiculous rule, but whatever... Let me know what the Viacom prices are. A relative of mine actually got married in her ninth month last year and had this massive croquant cake from Viacom $333 but she was so disappointed—it looked nothing like the picture! Now, I will say, their regular pastries are definitely top-tier 🙂. 😛

Has anyone been to a wedding lately where the band Boss from San Francisco was playing?
I'm curious about their vibe—like, are they good for getting the party started, do they take long breaks... and how is the female vocalist?
Also, does anyone know anything about Kocka, who are also based in San Francisco? Maybe someone could even compare the two bands?

Thanks!

We had our party at the sky
and honestly, all I can say is thank you. We had about 40 guests. The venue manager was absolutely top-tier. Uncle Bozo says it was great. :-)

Hey there!
Has anyone here actually worked with Mladen, the photographer from San Francisco? If you have, I'd love to hear your thoughts..
