Honestly, I think hunting down the perfect sale is hands down the worst part of the whole process 😵😵😵😵😵

David King72 said:Well, since we’re already on the subject, why don't we go ahead and bring Aria and the Lesnina Band back into the conversation? Is it really too much to ask to mention them again?
Is there anything more predictably exhausting than the sheer, unadulterated monotony of the local music scene? You’ve got the usual suspects like the Bend-Vino duo and Ivo, Miro Boem, and that whole Aritmija Band mess—it’s almost impressive how they manage to stay so consistently underwhelming. Does anyone actually sit through these sets expecting something halfway decent, or have we all just collectively agreed to lower our standards to rock bottom?
Photographer Marino, smile.

It's definitely Aria

So, have you all managed to lock down a space yet, or are you still out there searching?

Has anyone here actually worked with Mladen, the photographer from San Francisco? If you have, I'd love to hear your thoughts..

I actually hired Mladen for my wedding last summer, and honestly, I was pretty happy with how everything turned out. He’s definitely more affordable than most of the big-name competitors out there, and the photos themselves are just stunning. Plus, he has this way of making the whole shoot feel really laid back—he actually manages to calm you down and keep you laughing, which is no small feat when you're stressed out.

Hey there... Does anyone happen to have a receipt from a recent trip to Ira over in a small town, USA, that they might still be holding onto? I need to pick up two or three rolls of thread for $33, but they’re being pretty sticklers about it—they want me to show that I've already spent $100 or at least provide a previous receipt to prove it...

Still looking... We’re probably leaning towards the Sky or Aria.
We checked out the Pirate spot, but a buddy told us to skip it—apparently the dance floor is tiny.

Regarding the Pirate, if you're looking at a group of about 200 people, it’s an ideal spot for a party. Otherwise, I personally can't stand it when a venue has such a massive amount of empty space on the dance floor; it ends up looking like half the guests aren't even dancing, when in reality, everyone is actually out there on their feet.🙂

David King72 said:I'm totally with e+te regarding those music prices; they've become outrageously expensive lately, when you know there's plenty of amazing music available for way less.

Finding a photographer really just boils down to how much you're willing to bleed, but there are plenty of options out there.
jukica,smile,jabuka,marino,vidak,Bonačić....

Regarding the band itself... I’ve seen them perform, and I can honestly say they are worth that extra $200 premium because they know how to set the mood perfectly. That said, at the end of the day, the overall vibe of a wedding often depends heavily on the specific personalities within the band itself.

1. Dodger Stadium (either on the terrace or indoors)
2. Hotel Washington (Duilovo)
3. Salo Robot
Anything else is just a step down and way too pretentious... shoot me a DM if you want the specifics.

Oh, come on now... honestly, everything she listed earlier is better than this current option... in my opinion, Aria definitely has much better taste when it comes to recommendations... take the Pirate, for instance—the food is fantastic, and they include all those little extras like mood lighting that most other spots would charge you an arm and a leg for, sometimes up to $1333

Jack Castillo40 said:Well, hey there—my friend from France actually went with tiny rosaries as wedding favors instead, and honestly, it was such a hit. She even had their initials put on them in these cute little gift bags. For me, it was a beautiful keepsake—I think a lot of people really cherish those kinds of things. They're the one souvenir from a wedding that people actually hold onto. If you want, I can try to track down who she bought hers from, but I think she mentioned they were around $3.25 each. To me, it's just a perfect little memento.

Feel free to shoot me a private message if anyone is looking for this kind of guest favor...
There is a lady who specializes in making exactly these types of items, and if you are looking to order a larger quantity, the price settles in around $1.75(I'm not entirely sure what the minimum order requirement is for that specific rate, but we can definitely look into it if anyone is genuinely curious)

Of course the Pirate has excellent food and service, and as for the location, it’s hardly a question mark. Mark runs the place incredibly well; he really knows how to handle people, which explains why they manage such a high volume of weddings every year without breaking a sweat. In my estimation, the Pirate is the premier spot in the city for weddings in the 100 to 130 guest range. If you're hosting a much larger crowd there, you're either being completely irrational or you simply don't understand how logistics work (though, granted, everyone is entitled to spend their money however they see fit). The reality is that hitting 130 guests there is peak performance; anything beyond that is just improvised chaos and crowding..

Aria is by far, by far, the most overrated venue—not just in this city, but in the entire country. There isn't anything inherently bad about that hall; in fact, everything is perfectly fine, but there is absolutely nothing exceptional about it. The food, the service, the location, the atmosphere—nothing stands out. They can probably thank some higher power for their recent luck, given they only pull in about 50 weddings a year. You all keep padding Kerum's budget and helping out Katya, but you won't find anything quite as good as 👍 Rial's prosciutto

That lighting setup used by the pirate and at Atlanta was actually coordinated and installed through a specific agreement between the venue owners, Mark and Katherine, and the folks over at Rockefeller led by Mr. Michael. Naturally, they offer that specific lighting as the standard package because it's already integrated into the space, which keeps the initial overhead lower for everyone involved. It isn't some grand gesture directed at you newlyweds just because they think you're wonderful—though I'm sure they do—it's simply a strategic business decision made between them for mutual benefit. No one is stopping you from choosing your own lighting if you prefer something else. That setup is just the baseline, which is why it costs "only" that much... let's not get carried away 🥱

Everyone’s entitled to their own take... personally, I think Atlanta is absolutely stunning. When I first stepped inside, I was floored—the space itself is so refined that you don't even need extra decor to make it look high-end; everything just feels naturally elegant. Plus, I've heard nothing but glowing reviews about the catering... though, of course, tastes vary. For instance, I recently had an incredible meal at a ballroom, yet I saw one forum member claiming the food there was a total disaster.
I have zero interest in digging into Kerouac's business dealings with Atlanta—that’s nobody's concern. My focus is on the venue, which is perfect, and Katherine, who was incredibly kind to me—that’s what actually matters right now. I also love the lighting setup, so I'll be upgrading to $667 without a second thought. It’s my gala, my call 😛
Sharing advice and voicing an opinion is exactly why we're here, but calling someone an idiot just because they want to organize their own gala their way? That’s just plain classless.

Chloe Thompson71 said:Heyyy everyone! 🙂)) quick question—does anyone know what the damage is for the snacks over at Zenith? Like, how much are those crunchy ones running? Thanks so muchooo!

I once paid $667 for a 35-inch cake... In my experience, the price really fluctuates based on how tall it is and the quality of the ingredients, but you can usually negotiate with them if you have some leverage.

If you head downtown to Tiffany & Co., you’ll find a solid selection with pretty fair pricing—they even handle custom orders without tacking on extra fees. Plus, they offer a massive discount if you pay cash.

Look, man... you just gave this whole exhaustive presentation on the lighting setups and who owns what, yet somehow you’re still missing the mark (just saying). I really don't think you can compare paying extra for the pre-installed lighting at a venue like the Hollywood Palladium $667 to walking into a completely dark hall where you end up shelling out five times as much just to get some basic lights set up. Besides, I know for a fact the Palladium can handle a crowd of 200 people easy; I’ve been to those kinds of parties myself, and trust me, there were 200 of us there, everyone fit perfectly, and we all danced our hearts out. If that venue isn't your vibe, fine, but I don't see why you'd cast doubt on the capacity when it clearly holds that many

Look, you can't really put a high-tech service robot in the same league as a seasoned professional from a place like the Ritz-Carlton or a top-tier steakhouse... I mean, let’s be honest, the level of service these robots provide is just incredibly subpar. I actually saw one the other day where they were clearing plates using little carts, just rolling them right past all the guests in the middle of the dining room, and frankly, I don't think that qualifies as actual service at any recognizable standard of hospitality.

Daaa hahahaha. I mean, you can push it a little, but there’s gotta be some kind of line between just looking good and going way too far.

1) I generally enjoy it when someone tries to lecture me on things I know firsthand, simply because it happens to be my actual profession.🍿
2) And technically, sixteen people can live in a one-bedroom apartment, so please, tell me if you think that's considered "normal."🙂
In my opinion, Pirate is an excellent venue—great management, great service, great food... easily among the best in the city for parties of up to 120 people.
