Hey there,

We're on the hunt for some musicians for a church service. We have a wedding coming up here in Poland on June 2nd of this year, so if anyone happens to have a lead or a recommendation, let me know.

From what I gather, Nautica is sitting at about $45... Honestly, might be worth putting a deposit down now for next year.
There’s stuff out in Dugopolj Dolis for $37, and Phoenix is probably a couple bucks cheaper than that.

I suspect that the $45 price point refers to the expanded menu package; the basic option is actually quite a bit cheaper. Furthermore, that $45 rate typically includes full lighting for the entire hall—complete with all those fancy effects, equipment, and a dedicated technician—as well as the table decorations, such as flowers, candles, linens, and colored bows.
If you're strictly looking at the bottom line, there's the robot venue on TTTS, which I believe is currently priced at $32; honestly, I don't think you'll find anything more budget-friendly in St.

We held our event at ExxonMobil in December, and on a Friday, it was $32 per person. They provide the lighting, and they even threw in a honeymoon suite plus 15 bottles of spirits! You don't need to worry about bringing your own dessert certificates because they have chair covers, and they even have their own signature vases in two different styles. If you need it, they can set up the buffet in the upper hall. Just a heads-up: on Fridays, they only operate out of the upper hall regardless of how many guests show up. We’ve been there at least once before, which is exactly why we chose them again. Mike is fantastic to coordinate with, and the food and service are top-notch.

I haven't visited Dugopolj Dolis.
I know Phoenix is $34. They have three dining rooms. Their wine service is 7.5 liters, and the standard menu includes fish pâté with prosciutto, French fries, and fritules as an appetizer.
They also tend to charge children half price up to a certain age.

Mike, the breeze is wonderful. I can confirm that. 🙂

Honestly, The Beach Boys are incredible—they’ve got that laid-back, spontaneous vibe that just creates an insane atmosphere whenever they play.

Greetings everyone!
I am currently on the hunt for a talented makeup artist for an upcoming wedding... ideally, I would love someone who offers mobile services and can come directly to my home to get everything ready. My budget is up to $100 (and please, I’d love for lashes to be included in that price!). If anyone has any wonderful recommendations, I would be so incredibly grateful for your help... thank you!

Does anyone have recommendations for a solid photographer in the $1,000–$1,500 range? Everything I’ve been looking at lately seems to follow that overdone hipster aesthetic with cheap-looking filters, and I really don't want to waste my money on that kind of style.

Jasper, Duje Bonačić, and Julia aren't bad players—they definitely contribute to those numbers...

Thanks so much for the info! I actually know Jasper personally, but unfortunately, he’s already booked up a whole year in advance. I’ll try reaching out to the others you mentioned. Do you happen to have any recommendations for performers from neighboring areas, maybe somewhere like Canada or Canada? I've heard they can be a bit more budget-friendly than what we have here, while still being absolutely fantastic.

Hey, does anyone have recommendations for a wedding band? I’m looking for that sweet spot—high quality, but not breaking the bank.
I recently went to a party where The jukebox band played, though I’m not sure what their rates are.
Honestly, that was probably the best party I've been to lately because the music was exactly my vibe. No cheesy country stuff, just solid classic rock, some trashy anthems, and a bit of West Coast vibes mixed with some international hits. It was perfect. I'd love to find something similar...
What do you guys suggest?

Susan Morales39 said:Hi everyone! I am getting married on December 15th, 2018, and we are expecting somewhere between 160 and 180 guests.

Here is what we have booked so far:

Skyline Rooftop—it’s $38 per person for a classic menu. They don't serve hard liquor, so we have the option to bring our own, and the deposit is $500. The manager seems quite lovely, though I do find myself hoping we haven't made a mistake; I've heard reviews ranging from absolutely flawless to complete disasters, but curiously, nobody ever mentions it being just "okay"—it's either a total hit or a total flop!
TAXI Band—they are such a fantastic group. I actually listened to them years ago and thought they were wonderful, but my fiancé is incredibly particular and insisted that they be the only choice.
Photographer—a dear family friend.
Flower Lantern Decor—these ladies are simply wonderful; they are so flexible and creative, truly deserving of all praise.
Wedding Rings—Johnson Jewelry over on Canadian Street.

I am now looking for some recommendations regarding makeup artists, hairstylists, dessert caterers, lighting, wedding dresses, and suits.

There are a few things we definitely want to skip, such as traditional catering at the ceremony (we aren't doing the whole thing where guests gather directly at the church; people can choose whether they want to attend the service or not), and we aren't planning on doing thank-you favors either.
We are estimating our total expenses to be around $15,000. While nothing feels overly extravagant and we aren't looking for any unnecessary frills, I must admit my head is spinning a little bit when I look at such a large figure. I believe this total includes everything—dinner, music, photographer, dress, suit, venue decor, church flowers, rings, cake, desserts, the bachelorette and bachelor parties, all the bride's personal costs (mani-pedi, makeup, hair), and even those miscellaneous expenses for guests visiting us at home before and after the big day. Looking at the list as a whole, I actually feel like I might have underestimated the final amount; it could very well end up being higher.

As I've been researching, I've managed to compile some notes (which I’m more than happy to share if anyone finds them helpful!):

Aria Restaurant—$42 for a Saturday
$40 for a Friday
Save $2 if we bring our own wine
Dugopolje Venue—$37 for a Saturday
$36 for a Friday
Palace Hotel Ballroom—$45
Bloom Wedding Hall (Mejaš area)—$37

Aura Band—$5333 + travel expenses—deposit $667
Kocka Band—$2,000—deposit $200
Vox Box—$1,800—deposit $200
Pink Panther Band from San Francisco (Romeo Komić)—$1,800
Pink Panther Band—$2,000

And that is everything! ;-)

Here are a few contacts for you, and you might want to check out Mirko Bura's band too, if they're available.

Hey girls! 🙂
Does anyone have recommendations on where to pick up a fancy dress? Or maybe you know an amazing tailor who can custom-make one? I’m not looking for a wedding gown or anything—just something special. I wouldn't mind checking out some shops in Washington, D.C. too...

You’ll find some Gau morena and Gracia vibes, plus a few pieces from Malla—maybe even some moda in if you look close enough. Just take a stroll through the City and the Mall.

Yeah, thanks though. I've already checked out most of those shops and honestly, nothing really caught my eye. I'll probably either have to find a local tailor or just make a quick trip up to Washington, D.C....🙂

Could anyone recommend a band that plays traditional American folk or country music? I'd also be open to something with acoustic string instruments. Thanks!

For a tambourine group—my top pick is Mediteran Band. They play at Rusulica all the time and put on a real show. They’re traditional players who can actually function like a full band, plus they have a female vocalist.

As for standard folk and traditional stuff—look into the Matko and Brane group; they’re proven entertainers.🙂
