Zachary White9 said:And which one did you pick, if you don't mind me asking? Was it because they were better musicians or just some connection you had?

We ended up booking the band 021. We hadn't actually heard any of them play live—instead, we just listened to a few bands' Netflix performances and made a call based on that. The guys from 021 left the strongest impression on me, and I'd picked up some decent reviews, too. Honestly, it was a bit of a "gut feeling" situation.🙂 On Netflix, everyone tends to sound pretty much the same, so making a definitive judgment based solely on recordings is incredibly difficult.
I sincerely hope I haven't steered you wrong. Though, I suspect I haven't exactly made your decision any easier. 🤷

Uh, Jacob Harris88, this is honestly pathetic. They’re behaving absolutely disgracefully! If you happen to need a contact number for any of their management—I have quite a few on hand—just let me know. Hopefully, they'll finally come to their senses. I mean, they've completely lost it!!!

Someone should PM her right now if they know when you guys are meeting up on the forum.😉

Jacob Harris88, I'm totally with Lotus on this one—I really hope you find a killer band and just have an amazing wedding without any drama, because if things go south---------lawsuit!!! Seriously, all us girls will team up and blast them everywhere we go 🙂
Oh my God, how can we even be sure they won't pull the same stunt with our bands too???
Look, let me try to cheer you up a bit—you’ll probably end up finding a way better band than these guys anyway 👍

I am truly grateful to everyone for the overwhelming support! It means everything...
In any case, they wouldn't let me take the lead during the negotiations—mostly because I was prepared to go after them physically. They set up a complete ambush for us... quite frankly, it was pathetic. They ended up paying a higher fee than they originally intended without even telling me, just to ensure the band would actually show up and play. For now, I’ll refrain from naming names so they don't find out and decide to flake on us that day, but once the 14th passes, expect some serious fallout...

Hey, just wanted to drop a quick note for Sasha’s wedding guide—you can actually pre-order it right now on the www.amazon.com website. It should arrive by $80, though the official release date is February 8th. I was also wondering if anyone happens to know if it might be available in local bookstores later on?

So, take February 15th off to rest, then come back here on the 16th so we can finally drop those names.🙂

Jacob Harris88, seriously, maybe try checking your DMs or notifications once in a while... instead of making me come over here and beg you to reply.

Still debating on Barbie, though. They just didn't really click with us right away. Anyone ever heard of the band 021? Might be our best bet next time...😕

They played my high school prom... even my neighbor's brother's wedding recently... they're alright. Neither I nor his wife had any complaints.🙂

Hey guys, I need some serious help here if anyone can step up. I’m trying to dig up everything there is to know about the band "Vice and Wilma"—I mean, I want the full scoop... everything! Thanks in advance!!!
Just please, let God help me that they aren't those total losers.

I've never actually listened to them—just heard people say they're decent entertainers, though Vice tends to go way overboard with his jokes... you know, stuff like "come on, buddy, pick up the pace!" or "holy crap!" types of things...
Just noting that I've only heard rumors 🤷

We ended up deciding on the band from Los Angeles. When you watch bands on DVD, the differences are mostly just tiny nuances—at least from what I've seen—but those LA guys? Their chemistry was great. They actually seemed like normal people. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind later. I am a Libra, after all.😉

Avoid them at all costs🙏 🙏 🙏

I actually attended one of their shows once—if you can even call it that. It was nothing more than a glorified playback session where they just hit play on a track and pretended to perform, while the female vocalist was basically just there for show. If you actually care about music, stay far away from them. Keep looking!

But what about when things get complicated?

That sounds like a great choice for the LA band.👍 They actually played at my high school graduation.

Vice and Wilma... hmm. She is constantly shouting into the microphone, which is honestly quite revolting. And she keeps calling everyone "godmother" too; please, just stop being so crude.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been lurking on this forum forever, but I finally reached my breaking point and decided I actually need to join the conversation.
Basically, we’re pulling this whole wedding together at the absolute last minute because of some pretty happy news 🙂. We’ve only got three months left, and honestly, we’ve checked almost everything off the list except for finding a band and getting the dessert sorted out.
Does anyone know a killer live band in San Francisco?
Also, where can I go to order a cake? I have a very specific vision in mind, but I’d love to hear what you guys recommend before I dive in.

man, I'm actually getting close to just booking them. The party is in June, first weekend of the fifth month. But let's talk about bands traveling out of state. Obviously, it’s gonna cost more—we expected that from the jump—but when someone tells me they’re charging an extra 500 bucks just because they're crossing state lines? That feels like a total rip-off. Don't get me wrong, I even called a band up in Washington, D.C., and they were totally reasonable: "Yeah, we charge more for travel, here's how we calculate it." In the end, the travel costs for a band coming from Washington, D.C. ended up being way lower than these guys from Miami. I originally thought about having a living legend play at the party—absolute madness, right?—but then we realized my aunts and uncles probably wouldn't vibe with their setlist. So, we settled on 021 😉
