Help, help, help—I am genuinely on the verge of a complete breakdown!
Today, with exactly sixteen days left until my wedding, the band informs me that they might not even play, or if they do decide to show up, they won't arrive before 11:00 PM!!!
Should I just offer them more money right now to ensure they don't screw me over... or should I just send them packing? I honestly have no idea how anyone is supposed to find a replacement band that's actually available on Valentine's Day with only two weeks to go...

Does anyone here know what Disney is actually like? Thinking about booking them for my bash, so I’m curious if you’ve dealt with them before. Or maybe the Pink Panther? Thanks for the help 🙂

I honestly don't know anything about Barbie....
But man, Pink Panther is top-tier... I was at a wedding recently where they played, and even without a female vocalist, those guys absolutely crushed it! They weren't just standing there all night either; they kept the energy pumping and the vibe totally electric. I'm not sure how they sound with a female singer, but even just the guys? Total madness! 👍😍

😲 I cannot believe this... who even are these people?
What kind of excuse is that... did they even try to find a replacement?
Why would you give them more money? Honestly, watching them perform all night sounds like a nightmare anyway.
Tell them they’ll never see another dime from you. We’ll just blast them on every review site here. And what about the deposit????

Man, that is absolutely terrible... is there any hope they actually follow through on the original deal?
Or should you hunt for a different band right now... then dump these guys the second you find someone else?

My vote goes to the Pink Panther... everything I've heard about them has been nothing but praise!

Thanks a ton for the tip. I’m supposed to track them down today to pick up a DVD of some performance so I can hear them for myself. But hey, when someone vouches for them like this, that's already a massive plus. 👍

No worries at all! 😁

Just watch a DVD and see for yourself—though honestly, you can't go wrong with the Pink Panther... 😍

What absolute nonsense... they probably have some big gig at a restaurant before your Pirate party anyway... let me know which band it is... if I were you, I'd be getting really tough with them.😉

I suspect they would deeply regret treating me this way. You won't play? No problem. Just prepare for a report to the labor board regarding off-the-books employment, and a police report for theft regarding the deposit you took. If you won't play for me, you aren't playing for anyone, you absolute jerk. ☕

🙏 🙏 🙏 you just described that "tough" attitude perfectly—and of course, we absolutely have to mention which band it is just so we can give them a little free promo here, right? 👍

Oh my god, I cannot believe this! What absolute morons... what do they think they're doing?! 😠 😠 😠 I honestly cannot wrap my head around that level of unprofessionalism and pure nerve.

I can only imagine how much you're freaking out right now!! Try to take a deep breath somehow, and I really hope you manage to track down a new band super fast. I wish I could jump in with some recommendations, but I don't know any local groups since I've always just hired a DJ. More than anything, I just want you to find a replacement ASAP so you can get through this without any more unnecessary stress!!

And as for those jerks: hell no, don't give them an extra cent. Don't give them anything, just tell them exactly where to go and let them know how much they suck.

I’m with the other girls on this one—don't hesitate to call them out by name on the forum. They deserve the bad publicity so nobody else ever makes the mistake of booking them. Go for it!!! 🙂 🙂

We're all eagerly waiting for the update so we can give them a few choice words of our own...

Jacob Harris88, what absolute idiots!! I sent you a DM with the number of the band that played my gig—you never know with these people... honestly, don't give them another cent. Either make them play the entire night or tell them to get lost. Suggesting they wouldn't roll up until after 11 PM is just insane.

I actually caught Barbie playing at a Pirate party about this time last year out in San Francisco, and they were pretty decent... the energy was good! I wouldn't say I was totally blown away, but they were perfectly fine for a good time. ☕

My dear friends, I simply cannot find the words to describe how everything unfolded last night... The band was actually a recommendation from my father-in-law—he used to play back in the day, of course, so I naturally left those details entirely in his capable hands... Everything went quite smoothly; they offered us an incredibly reasonable rate, truly a bargain... We were in contact several times leading up to the big day, and every single interaction was wonderful, including our final check-in just three days ago.

We actually reached out to them last night, but they acted as if we were total strangers... as if, all of a sudden, they had somehow completely FORGOTTEN how to perform at the Ritz-Carlton—which I suppose is just their usual way of doing things—so now we can't even figure out who they are anymore...

I completely lost my cool! My father-in-law was trying to be reasonable, explaining to them that we simply cannot pull this off with only fifteen days' notice, but I just snapped... I sent them straight to hell and told them they either show up as scheduled or they pay the full band fee—it’s their problem to solve now!
Now I have to head into this meeting this morning... I'm praying it won't even be necessary, but if things go south, I might actually lose it!!

At that point, I certainly won't be worrying about the band—I imagine there will be someone in prison who knows how to play an instrument...🙂

Look, just take a breath; I’m actually holding out hope that you can somehow talk some sense into them, though God help us all because I truly cannot wrap my head around this level of sheer unprofessionalism.
You absolutely have to let us know how it all turns out, won't you?

Man, I bet they didn't forget anything—they probably just saw the bigger paycheck the Ritz was offering to play there instead...
You told us everything except the band's name... come on, spill! 🙂
