Olivia Adams71 said:Honestly, the pricing is pretty much identical across most venues; your real headache is going to be the headcount and finding a spot that doesn't feel like a sardine can. There was an old thread floating around about venues in San Diego, so let me dig that up for you. 😉
EDIT:
Found it. I actually helped put some of that together back in the day with a little help from the regulars. 😍

Thanks so much, I really appreciate the kindness! 🙂
Now I'm going to comb through this a bit to see what combinations might work.

I think I'll start things off with Grash, then move down the list...

Personally, I’d love something like this, if only it were located in San Francisco 😬 www.spoon.hr 😍

God help us!!
I’ve been lurking on this forum forever, but I just can't seem to find the right moment to jump in. It looks like some of you are already getting fed up with trying to organize these massive parties. Everything starts with such high energy—you know, that initial rush when you start scouting venues and seeing what's actually out there... but honestly, looking at the current options? It’s enough to give anyone a headache. I’ve spent ages checking out spots for a group of 150 people. This week, I’m heading down to check out Bellevue in Savannah, and I’m really hoping it works out so I can finally lock something in and know exactly where I'll be celebrating next year!!

Kevin Baker2, I was reading through your post. You might want to look into the Bracer area near the old district, maybe Luxor up on the hill, or even Le Monde downtown. They’re smaller venues, which might suit your vibe better...

Best!

Look, I agree regarding Grash—it really is beautiful. But, be extremely careful with 'Antonia' in Malibu—I've personally had some pretty bad experiences with them.

Seriously? What went wrong?

I actually had my wedding there and everything turned out great. They really listened to what we wanted—everything was exactly how we planned it.

Plus, the venue itself looked gorgeous. I should be getting the photos in the next few days, so if I get a good shot of the hall, I'll post it here.

Ladies and gentlemen—help needed!
I am looking for venues in San Francisco for about 400 people—well, that is how many are on our guest list, though nobody has officially RSVP'd yet...
I would love somewhere near the coast, or perhaps a place with a garden where we could set up round or oval tables...

Does anyone have any leads?

Thank you so much...

P.S. I honestly need all the details—everything from flowers to cake... I tried scrolling through the previous posts, but I completely lost my place...

A waterfront venue like that... honestly, I don't think they have one in SF. For a group of 400, the only place that comes to mind is way out in the suburbs. Bolero in the city tops out at 300.😢

Well, we have 400 people on the initial list... though I am sincerely hoping only about 300 actually show up... goodness...

So, I was at a party this past Saturday and just wanted to give a quick shout-out to the crew...
Just kidding—Belvi in Savannah really killed it... the venue was spotless, the service was great, the food was awesome, and I’d honestly recommend them to anyone.👍
The band, 100s, totally set the mood—the party had guests from all over, so they needed a massive variety of music to keep everyone happy...but those guys nailed it, seriously top-notch work.

Hey guys, does anyone know where I can find some killer quesadillas around San Francisco or maybe down in Savannah? Looking for that authentic, Spanish-style vibe.

Does anyone happen to have recommendations for a makeup artist and a hairstylist in San Diego? Ideally, I’d love to find someone who works out of the same salon to keep things simple.
Best regards!

I’m originally from NYC, though my fiancé actually calls San Francisco home.

Since I was the one who convinced him to move up north, we’ve decided to hold the wedding down in San Francisco.

He’s already picked out Amigos for the venue.

I’ve really only been back there for a quick coffee, so I don't know much.

Does anyone happen to have any inside info or tips?

thanks😳

I recently visited Bellevue, and honestly, it’s become my top choice. The hall itself is fantastic—really impressive. If anyone happens to have more intel on the venue, or maybe some pro tips, please let me know. My inbox is always open for a DM. Since I’m living over in St. Louis, I’m actually considering hosting the wedding in Savannah instead. That way, we don't have to force the entire guest list to trek all the way to Savannah after the ceremony. What do you guys think about that plan?

Thanks!!!

That's such a great call—and that cathedral in Savannah is stunning for a wedding... just make sure to double-check with the priests first. I personally loved the ceremony there; the priest gave this really beautiful, short sermon about marriage... so thumbs up from me on that idea! 👍

Check out the salon run by Martha over at the Walmart on Boulevard 😉
plus there's a spot in the building right behind that Walmart—I think it's General Electric

I had my prom in Bellevue and a wedding in the cathedral—honestly, I can only tell you one thing... 👍 Just an idea...

I am genuinely glad you like the idea! I need to touch base with the cathedral staff ASAP since I don't usually head over there for service... I'm relieved to hear the sermon was short, too. At a few recent weddings I attended lately, the services felt endless. Especially with this heat wave hitting us... everyone is just sitting there sweating through their suits, haha. Short and sweet is definitely the way to go. 👍
