California and they told us the venue rental alone was going to run us around 2,500 bucks. We heard The Arcade was doing some catering for parties over there, but then once we finally tracked down enough people from The Ville, we were told they aren't even doing weddings anymore... Who knows if things have changed since then? Your best bet is probably to check with The Arcade, because if you look at their website, they still have some photos from when they catered events at that location.
They'll do weddings—it just depends on who you are and who you know. I think you get the point.

Venue: The Grand Ballroom in San Francisco—seriously, this place blew me away from the second I started touring venues. The owners were absolute legends and went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how I pictured it. A massive THANK YOU to them... they truly made my dream day perfect.
All my guests were raving about the service, the food, and just the whole vibe. These people worked so hard to turn my vision into reality, handling everything from the tiny table arrangements to the awesome kids' station.
Photography: Getty Images—Marin and Damian, you guys are the best! Even though the weather decided to act up, they absolutely crushed it. I can't recommend them enough... they really know their craft. Despite the rain, they didn't skip a beat and gave it their all to capture every single moment, from the ceremony and reception to our portraits and even the shoot the next day.
Band: Barbary—from the very first time we talked, I knew they wouldn't let me down, and man, were they right! From our first dance until they were still rocking out at 5:30 AM, these guys were incredible. They only took quick 10-minute breaks, kept the dance floor packed the entire night, and even the older crowd was the first one up to dance! Little touches, like the drummer jamming while the cake was being brought out, meant the world to us. Our guests were totally blown away. Highly, highly recommend!
Makeup: Antonia—I honestly don't have enough praise for her. She totally knows her stuff and proved it. She used high-end professional makeup that stayed flawless on my face until I finally got home—and it held up perfectly for my maid of honor and sister too!
Cakes and Sweets: Delta Florist👍
Florist: Petals & Blooms—I feel like any comment would be overkill because they literally brought everything I imagined to life. It was spot on.
Dress: Mila Brnaze Bridal Boutique—a huge thank you to Mrs. Mila. She ordered a dress that was basically made for me. Seriously, go see her!
There are so many more little details I could dive into, so I'll write more once I have a bit more free time!
Ciao! I'm new to the forum—I'm currently in the middle of planning my wedding and I've been reading through everything here for ages...
I'm still in that early, stressful stage of hunting for the perfect venue and band... Like, how much does a group like Barbary actually cost? What was the total damage for you?

Hey, just another newbie here..
So, I'm looking to get married pretty soon—thinking maybe six months from now, sometime in 2010. My fiancé should be back from his ship contract, though we don't have an exact date yet. Since we’re running into issues trying to book a venue at the last minute, we actually decided to just rent a boat for the wedding instead.
Right now, we're looking at about 100 guests, but finding a boat big enough is proving to be a headache. Then there's the catering situation; from what I hear, renting the boat doesn't include any food, so I'm assuming we'll need to hire a full catering service for the whole menu. I'm really curious about how much all of this actually costs... if anyone knows anything, please reach out. Any info at all would be a lifesaver..
Thanks in advance🙏🙏🙏

Yeah, I think I get what you're getting at, and I'm pretty sure it's not even about the money... I guess I'm just part of that "who you know" crowd.🤣>

Hey ladies, I’m also one of the new girls on here! I’ve spent a good chunk of time just lurking and reading through all your posts, so I figured it was finally time to jump in and say hi. So, the big news is that I’m getting married next year, probably around May or June—though the exact date is still up in the air since it all depends on which venue has an opening, and apparently, June is absolutely slammed everywhere. I’m really hoping you guys might be able to toss some advice my way regarding venues, bands, photographers... basically anything! I just want to build up a little list of solid recommendations so I actually know where to start. For venues, I’m looking specifically around the San Francisco area and the surrounding suburbs.
Thanks so much in advance

Could someone please drop the phone numbers for Band: Barbary, Oranž, Pink Panther, and Flash? I’d really appreciate it, seriously, thanks a million!

Hey everyone! I’m also new here—though, honestly, I’ve been lurking and reading all your posts for quite a while now... just for
Joseph Wilson31. As for my favorite venue in San Francisco, it’s definitely Bellevue—it's such a gorgeous spot, and actually, it's where I'll be hosting my own wedding next year!

Other venues: Holy Cross, Honeycomb, Castello, Ino... and the bands: Viva, Flash, Bravo Band, and Taxi Band (that’s my group—we're a five-piece and pretty much just starting out). For photography and video: Photo California, Studio In, Ivica Matic, Lisjak, and Photo Marko...

Both Oranž and Pink Panther have their own websites, so you should be able to grab their contact info directly from there.

http://www.pinkpanter-band.com/index.html
As for the rest of them, I’d suggest heading over to the Viva group's site and checking under their contact section.

Thanks a ton, I actually spent some time clicking through all those sites. We haven't officially picked a venue yet, though—we're currently weighing our options between the Hilton, the Marriott, and maybe a few spots up near downtown or over at the Ritz.

I’ve actually seen the Bellevue in person, and man, it looks incredible, especially after they finished those renovations—those round tables really change the whole vibe

So, which photographer did you end up going with?🙂

I was scrolling through their photos earlier—honestly, they look fantastic, and I even noticed the girls over here are totally loving it

I mean, regarding Honey, I think it’s better to just buy it outright—it isn't really worth putting down a deposit since who knows what kind of mess we'll be dealing with later on.

I’m still figuring out the rest of the details—we haven't even given much thought to the venue or the band yet. We knew what we wanted at first, but then my photographer is 🤷

you know, I had no idea about the honey place thing, so I'm probably not going to count on it too much, even though I saw some photos of the hall and honestly, it looks pretty amazing

Barclays usually goes for $1,300, but since I added an extra musician, mine ended up being about $1,450

That venue is gorgeous! It’s actually where I host my events, and I have nothing but good things to say about them.👍
If you have any questions about the space, just ask!😁

I'm putting together a link with my professional photos to post here on the forum soon. Honestly, I'm obsessed with how they turned out—everything was absolutely perfect.
