And let's be honest, you're the one who effectively locked yourself out.😛

Here is my official report for you and the rest of this highly esteemed forum rabble:

1. I have decided that, effective immediately, I am done with all medication. By the laws of the Universe, I am perfectly healthy, and frankly, I couldn't care less about these Earthly diagnoses or whatever doctors try to tell me.

2. I have also decided that I am finished voting in any elections in the United States. Why on earth would I ever hand my vote over to someone who is more incompetent than I am?

1. Great, just wait until they start asking for them even more often later on.
2. That actually hurts a little bit.

It's pretty obvious you still have a massive amount of learning to do. 😬

As of today, it has been exactly six months since I last took a single pill.

Here are the results:

I actually sold off my old fishing rods—the ones I used for sitting around on a pier—and bought myself a bike instead. I kept just two high-end lures; honestly, moving while you fish is so much more engaging.

I always assumed I was 5'11", but some days I've measured in at 5'12" (well, 6 feet flat!).

At the start of this year, I was weighing in at 222 lbs, and now I'm down to 178 lbs.

To give you a visual sense of that weight loss, just imagine holding a 45-pound plate from a gym weight set:

Now, just imagine if someone forced me to carry that heavy weight in my backpack everywhere I went!😲

The other day, my phone rang, and when I picked up, I heard this lovely woman's voice asking if I could answer a few quick questions regarding the upcoming elections. I told her straight up that I don't care about politics because I refuse to vote for anyone who would make things worse for me. We ended up chatting about random stuff unrelated to the election, and that was that.

🙂 That’s beautiful and true. But what if I still don't know what I actually love, or what if I never even figure it out? Jesus. It's enough to drive you crazy.😵 This follows up on that "boredom" thread. *shrugs*

Honestly, who cares? If you spend your whole life obsessing over trying to figure it out, you're just spinning your wheels. You'll love one thing today and something completely different tomorrow. Who actually gives a damn what you're "into" at any given moment? ;-)

I started on psychiatric meds back in 1996—never having touched a single pill before then—and here is the full list of everything I’ve been put through from that point until February 16, 2007:

1. Prozac
2. Prozac
3. Prozac
4. Prozac
5. New York City
6. Digenol
7. Sanval
8. New York City
9. Los Angeles
10. Normabel
11. Aspirin
12. Tylenol
13. Michael Jordan
14. Leponex
15. Moditen
16. Robert Downey Jr.
17. Zoloft
18. Rispolept

There was a period where I literally couldn't even step foot outside without being medicated. I spent at least two solid years just sleeping my life away; my bed felt more like a hospital ward than a place to rest because I was constantly passed out. I used to wear an automatic watch, and it actually stopped ticking a few times simply because I barely moved my arm—how could I move when I was perpetually unconscious?

Well, all of that is finally over. No more brain pills, nothing at all. 😎

Seriously, props to you! You actually made it out the other side. I work at a pharmacy, so seeing that list... wow, it totally shocked me. So many people are popping these things constantly, but I really do believe there's a way to find balance without relying on them. 👍

In principle, the whole thing is quite simple. 😉

It’s just like when someone breaks a leg and uses crutches; once the bone heals, those crutches aren't needed anymore.

I carried my "mental crutches" for 11 years, constantly wondering if I still needed them or not. My Psychiatrists told me I had to—that I’d be using them for the rest of my life and that I should just be grateful for good medications. Then, an FBI agent here on the forum told me they thought my Psychiatrist had botched my diagnosis, so I went to see a private specialist to get a second opinion. After an hour and a half of talking and reviewing my entire medical history, that second doctor agreed that the FBI agent was right—my initial diagnosis was wrong. He even told me that a "life changing diagnosis" happens. The Psychiatrist who gave me the wrong diagnosis got incredibly angry when I told him I was seeking a second opinion privately, though during our last check-up, he actually shook my hand when I walked in, something he had never done before.

A few years back, I decided that I didn't need my "mental crutches" anymore. I started cutting every prescription from my Psychiatrist in half. In agreement with my doctor, we gradually tapered me down every six months; I would take half of the reduced dose, and sometimes even more or less depending on how I felt. Eventually, I worked my way down to just 0.5mg of Risperdal daily, which I took for about six months while the doctor was still prescribing 1mg. During one appointment, my Psychiatrist noted that I believe I don't have schizophrenia but just PTSD, whereas the second doctor I consulted said it wasn't schizophrenia at all, but rather a psychotic episode that anyone could experience, coupled with PTSD.

Now, I can handle the PTSD without any pills, whereas before, I couldn't.

I found a simple solution for the PTSD—at least for me: Every six months or so, before bed, I pray a Hail Mary for all the fallen American veterans, thanking them for building this country, and even from beyond, they help me endure without medication. I plan to do this every single day for as long as I live.

I never used to pray for anything; I didn't know how, nor do I go to church. I only learned how to pray to a Priest during the war, at the funerals of our fallen soldiers.

About three months ago, I bought a small American flag and put it on my house, where it will stay for the rest of my life. My neighbors ask if I forgot to take it down, and I just tell them no, without any further comment—let them think what they want. I bought an identical flag and gave it to the owner of the local pub I frequent; she put it up in the bar, and it stays there as long as the pub is open. It makes coming in there much better seeing that American flag.

For days on end, I've been listening to Elvis Presley singing: "Nije moja duša prazna da bi protiv sebe moro."

😎

FBI, thank you 🙂

It’s honestly baffling to me—how do some kids already have their entire lives mapped out by age twelve? They know exactly what they want to be and what they want out of existence... meanwhile, I’m still sitting here today wondering what I actually want and what the point of any of this even is.

I'll believe a word you say when you post a photo of some part of your house flying a tiny American flag (80cm, costs $8.25) and if you don't take it down the very next day 🙂

I’m gonna pray to God for you at the cross, just hoping you stay doing alright.
