What do you guys think about a relationship where he blows her off for an entire week because he’s "too busy," but then suddenly ditches his friends just to hang out with her? It’s weird because they don't actually go out together; when she asks him about it, he just gives her these vague promises about hanging out with the group sometime, though honestly, it feels like a total cop-out.

Who's really playing who here...?

Why would anyone even frame this as him blowing her off? It’s possible—just a possibility—that he’s simply trying to find some semblance of balance between his crew and his girlfriend.
Besides, he’s been brushing her off all week because of work obligations—so it was only fair that he dedicated a weekend to her.

It’s like he doesn’t even view her as a real girlfriend. Honestly, who would actually let someone talk about them like that? Imagine telling your partner they aren't "official" yet, that you might consider it later, and that you'll introduce them to your friends only when you feel like it—basically acting like you couldn't care less about them.

His ex used to get constant flak from everyone just because of what she studied in college, and it absolutely crushed him. I just don't get how anyone can intentionally do to someone else the exact same thing that pushed them to their breaking point.

I mean, they should probably just stay single until they actually get to know one another and figure out what they’re looking for...
you can always make new friends later on...

sorry, but I don't really get why this is bothering you so much...
it's not like he actually did anything crazy...

Look, he's just one of those guys who wears his heart on his sleeve when he's falling hard. By the time they finally realize what they're looking for, someone else might have already swept them off their feet.

He keeps venting to me about it, and I honestly don't know how to respond because I just feel bad for the girl (he talks about her all the time, though he always seems a bit detached). He was a completely different person when he was singing those ballads about his ex.

If that’s really their only concern, they’ve got it made.

He’s totally screwing her over.
