On the other hand, I had this buddy of mine who was constantly stuck in some kind of funk. Every single time I tried to drag him out to socialize, he’d just argue about why he should even bother going out when he’s never going to find a girlfriend anyway.

Like, how is he supposed to meet anyone when women only want guys with deep pockets and he’s broke.

I actually managed to pull him out once and he ended up meeting someone. He was all smiles.

Then, after a little while, he tells me he’s suddenly fired up to go hook up with some skinny girl.

Honestly, what an idiot—as if he’d ever actually been with a slim woman before. This one was actually curvy. And the girl? She was incredible. Gorgeous, smart, finishing up med school, easy to talk to—just a total catch.

The thing is, he was being abnormally annoying. I originally thought it was depression (maybe it was, who knows, I’m not a psychiatrist), but the more it went on, the more it felt like he was just desperate for attention. Eventually, he started getting on everyone's nerves. Me included.

And this guy right here is exactly the same way.

Kinda like this guy right here.

Look, you actually hit the nail on the head there. 👍 And I mean, I really wouldn't rule out an explanation like that either.
Most people don't even realize what's actually eating at them.

Look, I get it... those thoughts are heavy, really heavy, and honestly? You aren't going to find any peace just sitting here on this forum. I’ve known some kids out there—really good people—who felt exactly like you do right now, and they eventually just hit a breaking point. And when I say they hit a wall, I don't mean they ended things... I just mean they couldn't carry the weight anymore and finally reached out for professional help. And you know what? They made it. They’re healthy, happy, living their lives now. A real psychiatrist? They actually know how to navigate this stuff. Whether it's getting you on the right medication for a little while or just having those deep sessions to talk it out, they get you back on track. I truly believe if you sat down with a real doctor, you'd start seeing a way through this. There are so many exits in life, seriously so many, but suicide isn't one of them. Just wait... once you're on the other side of this and things feel bright again, you'll realize just how much of a mistake it would have been to leave.

It’s rare that things just go perfectly smoothly for anyone. I get that things feel heavy right now, truly, but maybe try to find a bit of dignity in the mess—find that spark of defiance, pull yourself together, and hold your ground against all those jerks who are just trying to get under your skin. What is there left to lose in these future battles, other than life itself? If you keep pushing forward, the only thing waiting on the other side is the possibility of finding actual happiness or learning something meaningful.

diabolo 👍 😘
