Joshua Anderson11 said:I'm actually hosting mine over at Đermo in Tenj—you can check out my Facebook profile for details—it's quite affordable. You might also want to look into the venue owned by Petra and Anna, as it's essentially the same style...

It’s true that both halls are great, but I think you might be mistaken about who owns what. Peter and Anna’s venue is actually owned by the Fratelli catering company, whereas the Đeram hall is separate. Regardless, both locations are high quality and won't break the bank.

Yeah, so Petra and Anna's hall over in višnjevac is actually owned by the Fratelli group, while the Đeram hall is run by the guy who owns that local butcher shop, Severus.
I haven't heard anything negative about Đeram—the prices there are actually pretty reasonable—but when it comes to Petra and Anna, people tend to say the portions in the set menus are a bit small, leaving guests feeling pretty hungry...
If you're looking for something a little more budget-friendly, Hotel Central or the Classic hall are decent options too.
Or, honestly, the most cost-effective way to go is just renting the hall itself and working out a deal with the chefs so you can provide all your own food and drinks. That’s exactly what we did...
For example, renting the Petra and Anna hall would be 18 $0.00 plus covers for the chairs
renting the hall at the Mursa hotel is 14 $0.00 (it's a gorgeous space, but better suited for smaller weddings), and renting the hall at the IPK over in Sjenjak is around $2333...

I've got in-laws getting married next May. We went ahead and booked the Glasser hall over on strossmayerov; it’s actually pretty affordable at $67 per person, which covers the first two courses and all the drinks, plus the venue itself is nice. Just wanted to see if anyone knows anything specific about the place—I haven't actually been there for a wedding before, though I've heard some good things from others. So, yeah... 🙄 🙂

I have this vision of getting married exactly one year from now—on July 23rd.
But looking around, it seems like everyone else has already booked their bands and finalized their vendors, while I haven't even made a single move... 😢
Is there actually any hope for me at this point?! 😕 🤷

Of course there is! We actually put down a deposit for our band about a month ago for June 4th of next year.
Just sit down and think about what kind of vibe you want—once you have a list, start grabbing some phone numbers. Honestly, there are so many wedding expos and local shows happening lately where you can go hear bands live or just ask them for a demo recording... http://vjencanjeradost.blogspot.com/...a-svatove.html

Yesterday, my fiancée heard from a friend who was just there that the buffet trays looked a bit small—almost like kid portions—and apparently, some items run out pretty quickly. We're still debating whether to go there or look elsewhere, so it would be great if someone could share their actual experience. I’ve been there for two different weddings (about three and five years ago), and it seemed fine back then. As far as I can remember, everything was... well, okay. I guess I'm just really torn on what to do right now.🤷

Well, thanks for the advice... 😘
I’m going to try to handle this myself—it’ll be far too late if I end up waiting until October to get things moving.🙄

Ugh, help me out—does anyone have any solid recommendations for a hair stylist in Indianapolis? I really need a new look...

If you're looking for a makeup artist, I’d highly suggest checking out Esther’s salon in Indianapolis and seeing Annmarie. I've had her do my lash extensions and full makeup before 😍

Does anyone have any leads on a good folk band for a wedding in Dakota?
We already have a band booked, but they don't do that traditional style, so we really need some musicians to lead the way to the venue... help!

As for Cadence? Those guys are from Tennessee. They’ve matured a bit, so I think I can recommend them without looking foolish. 😬 My only uncertainty is their pricing. If you want the contact info, I can send it via DM. 🙂

I have no idea who else provides the backing tracks. Usually, it’s just some local guys from the neighborhood, maybe some former folk dancers or something. I happen to know this specific group, and honestly, my conscience wouldn't let me recommend them before, but they seem to have actually gotten serious lately. I don't know about their rates, though. I sent you their contact info via DM so you can check for yourself.😉

We'll give them a shout and see what happens... honestly, as long as they've got some solid musicians for those few hours of accompaniment, we're golden. We aren't being picky! 🙂

Does anyone happen to know the pricing for the Classic hall—and what exactly is included in that rate?

If I remember correctly, the room itself is basically empty, $6000 just a plain space with some chairs and nothing else.
But if you go with their catering and drinks, you're looking at $200-$83 per person.
A friend of mine actually booked a spot there, though I’m not 100% sure about their specific pricing.
Basically, she opted for the empty hall rental and then brought in everything herself—the food, the drinks, the desserts, all the decorations. She even had to hire
her own servers, cooks, and a whole crew to handle the details.

🤷 Honestly, though, it feels like a massive amount of money to me...

So, what’s the damage on the staff fees?

We’re paying about $16,000 for the venue and everything else, just not the catering (so the crew will be there though)...

I don't know, I just said please don't hold me to that—I'm pretty sure that's what they told us last year.
We weren't really in the mood for jokes at the time, so my memory of the specifics is a bit fuzzy.

That price should ideally cover the staff—meaning the venue rental includes the servers and the kitchen crew. That’s how it works at pretty much every other banquet hall out there.
If they try to charge you extra for the staff on top of that, then they're being outrageously expensive.
A friend of mine actually got married at a place like that last year, and she booked the space under those terms... she just worked directly with the chef to finalize the menu and then handled all the food and drinks herself, just dropping everything off at the venue.
It's the same way we set things up back in that small town in Kansas...
