I'm not local, so I don't really know anyone to recommend, and since people have been mentioning him online, I'm a bit hesitant. If anyone here has actually used him, maybe you could reach out with some details?

Yeah, true. As for the florist, I'm not sure where you're located... but there are plenty of great options in Dakota. I think we might end up going with Stella from the Dakota area; she seems to do really wonderful work.

A quick suggestion for all my Midwest girls: I hit up a trade show today (it wasn't even a tenth as big as the ones in NYC!) and ended up with a mountain of flyers and discount brochures. Since I've already sorted most of my stuff, this is basically junk to me... but if any of you could actually use them, let me know. If there's anyone from Indianapolis here, shoot me a DM and I'll bring them by... or if enough of you are around, we could just grab coffee and you can grab whatever you need. There are discounts on wedding dresses and $333 plus stuff for videographers and things like that... let me know by tomorrow, otherwise I'm just tossing it all and coming home empty-handed 🙂

Walter Price5 said:What exactly is messy about that Lad m? I'm heading to the Midwest for Easter, so I'll probably check around and book somewhere... I mean, guests usually just need a place to sleep, nothing fancy, but I still think things should look decent.

Like one girl mentioned above... if we're talking about a difference of only 5 dollars, $3.25it's probably not even worth moving guests from one hotel to another. Right now, I'm staying at the Admiral $45, which is a good deal considering how much things cost in San Francisco 🙂)

I moved to Vincennes just a year ago, but like someone else said, I've heard things happen at Lady M—and according to a friend's coworker, it's actually true since he used to take his girlfriend there.

I'm telling you, I got Hostel Plus for $42 and everything is brand new; the rooms are great, plus you have the Kunjevac hotel run by the same owner where you could get a room for $45.
Check out Hostel Plus online!

Remind me, where are you hosting the wedding guests?

Like I mentioned, I'm new to Vincennes, but I've heard good things about Krizmanić. I don't know him personally, but I follow him on Facebook. If Mirror Studio from Brod doesn't work out, my next choices would be the Democratic Party group from Washington, D.C., or him. I'm not looking for a fourth option!
Sometimes people expect too much without being clear about what they want, and then they end up disappointed.
Check out Mirror Studio on Facebook; they just launched a new website, though the portfolio isn't huge yet.

I was wondering about the girls who went to meet with Jak and visited those exclusive spots in El Paso—what’s the word on how that went? I noticed some of the local women there are handing out gifts this month, so I guess things might be looking up.

My wedding is at the Admiral, thanks for the tips. I'll be visiting around Easter, so I'll check out some photographers then and put down a deposit.

It looks decent.. I called Hostel Plus... they said they'd get back to me tomorrow with a price. I also called Lady M, and they quoted $33 since we said we'd fill up the whole hotel. I guess Hostel Plus is a bit nicer though.

The wedding guests are in Vincennes... so I was thinking about a florist closer to there... I don't know, I'm still undecided... I have to go to the interview first.

Here’s me after a few days 🙂 and in those few days, I managed to get almost everything checked off my list 🙂)) I see people asking about the "exclusive" options—I already went and booked 🙂 without a second thought. The meeting was great, very laid back. I walked away with plenty of info and some fresh ideas. Since I'm still not entirely sure what kind of floral vibe I want 🙂, I'm playing it by ear. The Girls are pretty much booked up for the year, so if you're interested, move fast. The prices are solid; I’m really happy with it. You can work out all the details with them, and they pay attention to the little things, which I appreciate. Also, vases, glassware, mirrors, candles, crystals, and stuff like that? They don't charge extra. It's all included in the price. 🙂 And yeah, that Valentine's gift. You pull the little packages out of the gift box and you just see what you get 🙂)) If anyone has questions, feel free to ask.
As for Jak, I can't imagine going to her 🙂 I've already made my reservations 🙂>. Anyone who goes to either Jak or the local florist is going to see a massive difference. Especially when it comes to the quality of the work and the sheer volume of flowers. That’s what I’ve heard, and looking at the photos, I’m convinced. But hey, it's your call; I trust everyone to pick what works best for them 🙂
Now I just have the tent, lighting... a few more small things and I'm basically done!!! All in all, I AM BEYOND HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder, what kind of prices are we looking at over at the Girl's place?

Has anyone here actually worked with the photographer Andrej Car before?
I'm looking to get a sense of his rates and what the overall service is like—basically, is he worth the hype? ☕

Thanks!

Look, the price depends entirely on what you're looking for. Honestly, your best bet is to just ask them directly. 🙂You can find plenty of options on Facebook by searching for things like "wedding decor"—or I can just give you a number. 😉

Then why not just book the rooms at the Admiral? You already have guests there. Every other hotel is further out—especially that Gem hostel, which is practically outside the city limits. Your guests would end up having to hop in a car and drive several miles anyway... I don't quite get it. Besides, the Admiral offers discounts for wedding guests.

Hey, just checking in here. I booked my photographer from DJ, used a ZOOM, and everything is set; the price is $1.50. My wedding dress is coming from a boutique in Mirea đakov, where they’re custom-making it to my specs for $1.25. Plus, the package includes a garter, two large baskets, one small basket, hair accessories, a bolero, 100 invitations, and even a little flower girl dress. For anyone else dealing with allergies to commercial makeup—like I am—I highly recommend my makeup artist. She uses strictly hypoallergenic products, and it's $40 per person.

Can someone help me out with the light show? It completely slipped my mind. Does anyone know who handles rentals in St. Louis and what the going rate is?

Pretty sure he's based out of a studio in Des Moines, right?

Were you at Mia's this past Saturday too?
I actually found lighting in Indianapolis; if you're interested, I can pass along their info if you can't find anything else.

Robin Chase7 said:Does Exclusivity have a website or anything online? I've been searching everywhere but can't find a single thing. It feels kind of hard to believe, honestly, that in this day and age—when you can basically advertise for free online whenever you want—a business wouldn't have even a basic page or something? It's not like we all live right next door to them and can just pop in!

Mark Nguyen11 said:Regarding Krizmanić—he's alright. His rates aren't outrageous, so for the price, it's fine. He isn't a high-end pro, but he puts in the effort. Honestly, he's better than half the people shooting weddings out in the Midwest. I've seen some of his shots that were absolutely stunning, while others were just average. I suspect it depends on his mood that day—which shouldn't happen with a true professional who charges premium rates. His work is solid, follows the rules, and stays on schedule, even if it lacks that "wow" factor sometimes.

I’d also suggest looking into Rahel. She has studios in both Vincennes and El Paso. If you can, go see her work in person. Her photography is excellent; she has a real eye for elegance. The shots are well-executed, though they aren't overly edited or flashy. She charges around a thousand dollars, but you get a lot for the package. See if she fits your style.

Aside from Studio69, those are the only photographers in the Vincennes area I’d personally recommend. As for the rest of the US, I couldn't say. There are probably better options out there, but the prices would likely be much higher.

For Studio 54, I heard the starting price for this year is around 11 $0.00.
