I still haven't figured out where I'm going to pick up flowers and stuff. Nobody is giving me any decent recommendations, and I have zero clue what prices are looking like lately. I’m trying to keep it under $1000. Is there anywhere in Indianapolis running any sales right now?

I’m thinking about heading down to the local flower market about two weeks before the wedding to see what kind of blooms I can actually get my hands on...

Where are you guys looking for groom suits? We checked out Galileo, and while they have some decent options, nothing really stands out. Plus, there isn't anything affordable $667. We’re debating if he should go with a matte suit instead of those super shiny, silky formal ones, since he won't be able to wear those anywhere else later. What do you all think?

Arizona or that corridor area... you know, that massive market district... they have everything there from a needle to a locomotive.

My man is going to be hunting for his suit at Martin Arbanas because he needs sleeves that are twice the standard length—and he doesn't even know what color he wants yet. He's leaning toward a high-shine black, though; that's his dream look. 😁

Jack Lee5, mine will almost certainly be a black suit too... 😍
And speaking of black suits—here’s a little anecdote I came across recently... 😂
A little girl attending her very first wedding turned to her mother and asked, “Why is the bride wearing white?” Her mother replied, “Because white represents happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life.” After a moment of thoughtful contemplation, the little girl piped up, “Well then, why is the groom wearing black?”

So that's basically what the corridor is. Didn't know that, thanks 🙂

Still waiting on a florist recommendation 😁 Max $1000. Haven't even had the chance to ask around yet. And how early did you guys go wedding dress shopping? I'm getting married in September and haven't even stepped foot in a bridal boutique yet.

Where are you based? And more importantly—what kind of flowers are you dreaming of for the wedding?

I'm near Indianapolis. Honestly, I don't know the first thing about floral arrangements, and I haven't bothered to check what's actually in season. I was just thinking something classic—roses, maybe some carnations if they have them. For the venue decor, I pictured those tall martini glasses with candles inside and maybe a single rose tucked in there. Nothing fancy. My main issue is that I have zero clue about pricing. Like, what does $3,000 actually get me? Nobody online lists prices, and frankly, I'm too lazy to go door-to-door checking every shop in town. 😁

I managed to score some flowers and decor pretty cheap at the Walmart over in Dakota and that little boutique shop, Apple.

What does "affordable" even mean to you? And which flowers did you end up picking?😛
They have suits on sale at Ford for less than $500 whatever your heart desires!

Regarding the floral arrangements, I actually swung by the flower market in Indianapolis recently, and one of the vendors there mentioned that they all run their own independent businesses and handle wedding contracts as well. For twenty-five tall daisy vases, a bridal table setup, the bouquet, boutonnieres, and two church arrangements, we're looking at roughly $833. Honestly, I think that’s quite a steal!

Hey ladies...
I stumbled upon this makeup artist's profile ages ago—she’s from some tiny little town way out near Columbus... maybe somewhere in the outskirts of Malibu or Ivankovo... honestly, I haven't a clue exactly where she's based. But I was scrolling through her work on Facebook and, oh my god, I am absolutely obsessed. Apparently, she also does gigs in Washington, D.C.
Does anyone actually know who I'm talking about? I feel like such an early adopter when I start hunting these things down so far in advance! 🙂

🙂 Also, I saw someone mention that Sax band from Columbus. We actually caught them playing at two different weddings recently and they were seriously incredible. They're playing at our place soon too, so if you need entertainment, I can't recommend them enough.

Maya, I know Ana Coric is from Columbus—maybe she's the one you have in mind? 🤷

Carl Clark, I can't for the life of me remember the name. All I know is they aren't exactly from Columbus, but somewhere just outside of there.

Wait, Carl Clark, is that really her? I just went down a rabbit hole looking at her photos and honestly, the hype is totally unearned. Does anyone have any actual recommendations for what to follow on Facebook instead?

Not really that much. Did you forget to include the car decorations, or is that not part of the deal?

A suggestion... there is a florist out in Ivankov. They are incredibly talented; the shop is called Valentina. The owner truly possesses a remarkable instinct for her craft... prices typically range from $2,000 up to $1000... and that covers the venue decor, the bridal table, the bouquet and boutonnieres, car decorations, and the church arrangements... I am not entirely certain if they provide delivery services, as I don't know enough about their logistics, but... if you need her contact information, just let me know 🙂

I’ve been lurking on this forum for quite some time now, just waiting for the moment I could finally step up and say that I actually have a date set... and well, that day has finally arrived... the venue and the band are officially booked... we'll be tackling the rest bit by bit, though we still have about a year and a half to pull everything together... but I find myself in need of someone with actual experience... I need a realistic breakdown of what the total cost looks like for a wedding with roughly 500 guests... and when I say everything, I mean absolutely everything... from the small details like undergarments and socks to the catering, the hall rental, copyright fees, insurance, and every single peripheral expense imaginable...

I totally blanked on the fact that we need to decorate the car too... 🤣 I didn't even ask her about it yet, but honestly, I don't think it'll cost an arm and a leg!

I went ahead and put a reservation in at that florist in Indianapolis—the one called Fantasy... we haven't actually hammered out any of the specifics yet... because, honestly, I’m still stuck in indecision mode about what I actually want for the big day about a month from now.
