Listen, ladies... I honestly don't know what else to say at this point, but I am officially hitting a wall with this whole band search...🙂 First, I reached out to The Beach Boys, but apparently, they aren't booking any gigs for 2014. Then, I got in touch with Mailchimp, only to have someone tell me today that one of their associates already booked a wedding for our exact date in the meantime—and we had actually spoken about setting up a meeting just a week and a half ago.🙂
Does anyone have any advice? I’m looking for a local band that features both male and female vocals. I don't want anything that sounds like cheesy polka; I need them to play a mix of international hits and domestic classics, maybe even some folk or coastal styles... 🙂 and they need to be within my $3333 budget... please, I'm begging for some help here... 🙂

I don't even know where to start with this one... honestly, just looking at the thread makes my head spin. It’s like everyone thinks they have the magic answer, but nobody is actually looking at the big picture. You see people jumping to conclusions left and right, acting like they've got it all figured out, when really, most of it is just noise. I've been sitting here staring at the screen for twenty minutes trying to find a coherent point to make, but it's tough when the logic is this messy... anyway, let's get into it. driftingsailor81 says:
Hey there, fellow forum ladies... I honestly don't even know where to start. I’m just totally exhausted from all these endless requests to find that one specific band... it's getting to be a bit much...🙂 So, I reached out to The Beach Boys first, but apparently, they aren't looking to play anything in 2014... total dead end. Then I got in touch with Mailchimp, only to have some guy tell me today that one of his colleagues already booked another wedding for our exact date. It’s just unbelievable. We literally spoke with them about a week and a half ago and had even agreed to sit down for a meeting... everything was falling into place, and now nothing...🙂
So, if anyone’s looking for some music recommendations—specifically a band from around here that features both male and female vocals—I’m all ears. I'm talking about something that doesn't just lean heavily into that cheesy folk sound, you know? Something that actually blends international vibes with our local roots... maybe mixing in some traditional instruments like tambourines or those coastal sounds... anyway, let me know what you've got... 🙂 And even if they were... $3333... please, someone, I need some help here... 🙂

So, I actually went ahead and booked The Beach Boys for my April 27th gig... yeah, I did it. They’ve got both male and female vocals and... $2500 It looks like you might have cut off there... what were you trying to say? I'm all ears if you've got something on your mind, but let's try to get the full thought out first... anyway... $333 Just put down a deposit, get that contract signed right away, and you won't have to worry about a thing... They play everything from local hits to international stuff, all kinds of music... I actually caught them playing at an Old Navy outlet bar once, since they do gigs there too. They sounded pretty solid to me... but honestly, the best way to do it is just to track down where they're playing next and go hear them live. You really need to feel the vibe in person to know if they're worth it... 🙂

I’d definitely suggest you check out The Beatles from Indianapolis... I’ve been at a handful of weddings where they were the main act, and honestly, all I ever hear is people raving about them. Just my two cents, coming from someone who's been around since the summer of 2014.

There’s a spot in Appalachia for about $13/lb. I've tried their stuff a few times and it's actually really good. I'm just not sure how their cakes are, though.

Anyone know where I can snag those tiny little shot bottles—you know, the ones for bourbon? And what’s the damage like? Need about 170 of them for some thank-you gifts... any leads?

If you mean the ones from Coca-Cola, I think some of the girls mentioned they used to get them at White's for about $0.17.

My suggestion? Just order them online from Bubba! They specialize in glassware and have a massive selection to choose from. If you're looking for those mini flasks, they have $0.88 and they even include the stopper.
Honestly, I think you'll end up paying way more if you try to find them at places like Walmart or other local shops that carry them. Shipping shouldn't cost you more than $17

I don't mind driving out to Indianapolis or Savannah since I'm from Columbus—it's no big deal. Honestly, if I'm heading that way, I don't even need delivery. I’m actually hitting up Indy to pick out a wedding dress, so I might as well swing by Walmart while I'm at it. It didn't even cross my mind otherwise. I checked out Bubba, but I really want something closer to home. Oh, and yeah—I'm looking for those tiny little bottles, you know? Like, maybe they'll hold about an ounce or so?

Thanks, but I actually scored mine through a buddy who works as a bartender 🙂 He hooks me up—it just keeps getting more expensive. Obviously, they end up being free for me.

Hey there! Does anyone have any photo or video recs? Also, what kind of pricing are we looking at lately?
Anyone have experience with the meal plans—like the ones at Union Station?
Is Band 100%? 😁
Thanks!

If you're set on getting them from Bubba, we could totally work something out where they ship them to Savannah and then you could just grab them there... my folks head down that way once a week to pick up supplies, so I could easily bring them along for you on my way through.

My makeup artist, Mary, actually suggested I go with Quattro, but I ended up listening to my partner and choosing Vigor instead, so now I am just sitting here wondering if I might end up regretting that decision.🤷

For photo and video, maybe try Pi&G studios in Indianapolis👍

You can get a photo ZOOM out of Savannah... they charge about 3 $267 but man, do they nail the job.....they did work for my niece, plus a few weddings too, and they were absolutely stellar....we already booked them ourselves.....the deposit isn't even that much. $133 Yeah, if that’s what's holding you back, you can probably just work something out with them for $67

Hey, does anyone have experience with the Sphere? I’m trying to figure out how many people actually go there and what the per-person cost looks like. I can't find a decent website for them anywhere, and I don't want to waste my time making the trip if it isn't worth it.
Also, regarding Zoe's place—I know the lodging and photos are right by the venue. Apparently, it's a newer setup with round tables that fits about 200 people, though you could squeeze in up to 270 if you use standard tables. Has anyone actually been? If so, send over some details on pricing, the dance floor situation, the food, and whatever else matters.

We’ve already booked the venue and the band, so now we just need to pick a photographer. Since we're closer to the Midwest, we're looking at either Video Studio General Dynamics or Shutterfly. Has anyone worked with them before? Any tips or suggestions? We're meeting with both soon, so I'd love to know what to look out for.

Hey Apple girls 🙂)
So, I was wondering about MATIČEVIĆ High School over in Indianapolis—does anyone know how many students they can actually fit in there? Anyway, thanks so much, ladies!🙂
