If you want a decent machine, check with Photo Inc. over in St. Louis. They have those professional-grade ones that actually workβ€”the kind that won't leave a massive puddle of water all over your floor whenever a bubble pops.

So, is there anyone actually hanging out here from the Phoenix area or somewhere nearby?

If you have, please spill the tea! I'm dying to know what the selection is like, how the pricing holds up, and any other little details you can share... help a girl out!

I haven't actually stepped foot in there myself, but I've heard through the grapevine that they carry quite a few designer labels, like MS and others. And as for the pricing, people say it's an absolute steal! Since I was down in Memphis handling some wedding prep for the church, they apparently managed to snag my address and sent a personalized offer straight to my house; apparently, if I show up with that letter, I can snag even more of a discount. However, I've already officially reserved my gown, so I didn't even bother stopping by to look. Still, I do think it might be worth popping in just to check things out.

I've also heard they carry designer wedding dresses at prices that are actually reasonable, like way cheaper than anywhere else... definitely let us know how it goes if you end up heading there

Has anyone here tried designing their own wedding invitations and thank-you notes? I was wondering if there are any good places to find supplies for that. Also, I've had people suggest traveling over to some cheaper areas out west to plan the wedding, but I'm not really feeling that idea, even if prices are lower there. Has anyone actually done that?

Hello, my lovely ladies from the Midwest, I find myself in need of a little assistance... does anyone happen to know a talented photographer who actually charges reasonable rates? Since I'm based over in Indianapolis, any leads would be incredibly helpful. Honestly, they don't even have to be local to Indy; I'm open to anyone in the surrounding areas! Please, help a girl out!div>

If you're in Indianapolis, you can grab stuff at Hobby Lobby, some places with a Midas touch, or check out some wedding advice shops.

Smith from Gary does great work, though I'm not sure what he charges. I know he shot for someone on this forum before and the photos were killer.

I used a photographer once who was absolutely perfect (and the price was unbeatable)... if you want the details, shoot me a DM. 😁

You should check out a place in Indianapolis
called the Keepsake Shop (I’d have to double-check the exact street, but I think they're located right near downtown)

Hi everyone. Has anyone here held a wedding reception at the Perkins venue in Indianapolis, or perhaps attended a wedding there? I need to know what the experience is actually like. What are the impressions? Looking for some honest feedback. Thanks in advance.

Perkins’ venue is quite alright. I suspect the capacity tops out at 400, and even then, it feels crowded. The dance floor is rather small, though the hall itself is clean and well-kept. In all the large American weddings I have attended, the experience was decent, provided you can stomach the crowd. One thing that consistently irritates me is when they cram the chairs together side-by-side at the tables; it is atrocious. There is zero breathing room. I spent the entire evening feeling as if I were sitting in a stranger's lap. Then again, I am used to massive gatherings, so the congestion is expected. Fewer guests would certainly improve the layout.

Thanks for the help. We’re planning for about 270 people, so that should be just rightβ€”plenty of room for both dancing and seating! PEACE

Glad I could help. Just make sure you hold your ground when you head in to negotiate. They'll try to steamroll you like amateurs if you let them. Stand firm and don't let them play games. Ask every single question now so there are no excuses later. It’s the same story everywhere you go. πŸ™‚

Can anyone recommend a solid wedding photographer out in the Midwest? Doesn't matter what city they're based in.

I've been to the Perdue venue quite a few times and honestly, it's great. They actually expanded the space recently, so it can hold up to 500 people now, which is a relief because we're planning to have about 450 guests at our big day...

I suggest looking into Krizmanic photography out of Indianapolis. Their recent portfolio is quite impressive, and honestly, they caught me by surprise; their work is top-tier without being overpriced.

So, here is the situation... I have been considering making the party favors myself for quite some time now. It might not seem like such a massive undertaking for a group of 600 people if someone actually had the spare time available.
However, between my various daily responsibilities, I simply cannot find a moment to sit down and get them done.
I did hear a rumor that that specific woman over in Ivankov also makes these favors. But then I overheard a price point of roughly $1.50 -$0.67 per unit!
Is that even remotely realistic? Hmm...
