I can't focus on anything else anymore; it’s the only thing playing on loop in my head, and nothing else seems to matter. I can't find any sense of joy or satisfaction in anything I do.

I know that feeling all too well, believe me. I’m not sure if you’re currently seeing someone for therapy or anything like that, but it seems pretty obvious that you’re dealing with depression—and I’d hate to see it turn into something chronic.

Toss it all in the trash and move to Normabloc. It wasn't until then that I realized just how much stronger Xanax actually is compared to the milder stuff. These newer ones feel like candy by comparison, but I finally managed to kick my Xanax habit because of them. My doctor even told me that Xanax burns out your brain receptors even faster—so, if you can manage it, please try not to switch over to Xanax.

Just so I'm clear, were you actually fully dependent on the extended-release xanax?? Like, you couldn't even function or get through a normal day without it? And how long did it actually take you to finally break free?
I don't even know anymore... I find myself constantly taking Xanax, and while I know it isn't as difficult to step away from as the heavy stuff, I am still taking it on a regular basis. I suppose I might try to work out a little arrangement with my doctor, maybe something where I take Xanax 10 mg for two weeks, followed by the extended-release version for another two weeks.

Just get a liver panel done. It’s super straightforward. I asked for one, got the results, easy. Honestly, it all depends on the dosage you're taking. My doctor just told me to check in once in a while. Basically, the more damage they do, the more you should be checking. Just ask.

Look, I started at just three 0.25mg pills, but eventually, I worked my way up to six 0.5mg Xanax tablets! Sometimes even more.😲 😲😲I got off it pretty fast because the withdrawal hit me so hard that I ended up switching over to Normics—then I gradually tapered down from those.

Ugh, I really wouldn't recommend doing that. Just once, I missed a dose of my long-acting Xanax, and man, the panic attack hit me harder than anything I've ever felt in my life. That doesn't mean it'll happen to you, though...😲

I’ve been on Cipralex for nine days now.
Is it actually normal to feel more anxious than I did before I even started taking it?
Does this phase eventually pass?

Look, don't let it get to you—you’ve got more grit in you than you think, and I truly believe you can navigate through this mess. As for that Cipralex stuff? Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue about it—medication is a bit of a black box to me. I actually just started a new regimen of Wellbutrin myself, so I'm currently sitting here in a state of anxious anticipation, waiting to see if it actually does anything at all. Yesterday was... well, it was a wash. I spent practically the entire day sleeping off a bout of depression—it's exhausting, really. And I don't know about you, but I certainly doubt my parents are saints—I mean, if they can put up with someone like me, they must have some serious patience.🙂

Do you think I can pull this off on my own?
I honestly don't know. Every single morning I head into work feeling this heavy sense of dread, and it’s driving me up the wall—I’ve just developed this deep-seated anxiety around people.
The second I wake up in the morning, I already feel this wave of nausea at the mere thought of facing another day.
Still, I appreciate the encouragement, velvetsailor26 🙂

In my experience, diazepam seems to be one of the more reliable and safer benzodiazepines out there.
As for alprazolam, I've heard quite a bit about how it can be a real trap—it feels much smoother and hits harder than standard Xanax, which might be why people get hooked.
I suppose I don't really know... maybe I'll just mention it to my doctor and see if they'd consider switching me from Apache to Xanax instead. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

Effexor was probably the biggest mistake I've ever made. I ended up throwing it back up after only half an hour because I had to vomit. 😳 Man, that was easily the worst antidepressant I've ever tried.

Don't even sweat it.😉 Look, despite all that darkness, the fact that you actually get up and show up to work proves you aren't weak—not by a long shot.

So "nauseating" can be taken quite literally... hmm... fine, I'll stick with it for a while, but if I happen to lose my lunch on some poor soul on the subway, at least I'll know exactly what caused the mess.🙂

Is it actually okay to mix Coaxil with alcohol? The warning label on the little insert says absolutely not, but I’m wondering—if we're just talking about a couple of beers here, rather than some massive bender or being a total alcoholic, does that change things?

What is even the point of this thread? I am being completely serious here—and mind you, I’m not asking for my own sake, but rather because I was wondering earlier if Coaxil is even permitted for minors, given that a friend of mine was actually recommended to start taking it—so please understand, my intention isn't some misguided attempt to "get high" or whatever nonsense people think you can do with Coaxil, nor is it about spiraling into even more chaos after taking it; I am simply inquiring for the sake of safety to ensure that it shouldn't be consumed at all if it is strictly prohibited.

🙏Alcohol mixed with pills??? Go ahead, give it a shot—see if you don't end up seeing double or losing your mind completely.

Honestly, seeing as you can read on just about any other health forum that having a single drink—I’m talking maybe one or two beers on a special occasion—isn't going to be some massive tragedy, and considering that some pharmacists I've spoken to suggest it won't cause harm in those specific instances, I truly fail to see why it's such a crime to ask 😕?

Good grief, it is always better to seek advice from multiple sources than to go ahead and do something incredibly stupid without thinking... I genuinely cannot wrap my head around this constant mocking from 🤷

Look, don't go pushing your luck by mixing drinks with your medication—it’s not like the alcohol hits you the same way when you're medicated versus when you're perfectly healthy. It's basic biology, really. Besides, what's the big deal about having those two beers right now? You already know it's bad for you because your brain chemistry is already a bit out of whack, so why just pour gasoline on the fire? Just have your drink and relax, and call it a day.
