I find that a bit hard to believe. Getting prescribed Prozac or any other medication isn't just up to one single doctor; it’s a complex, long-term process involving a whole team of medical professionals and specialists.

How is everyone doing today? I suppose I should ask—has everyone managed to take their pill yet? 😁

Anyway...
A pill to start the morning right,
a pill to drift off at night,
if you haven't taken yours,
not even God can help you now.

Look, just take your anxiety meds and stop acting like you're some victim in a Hollywood drama.☕

And then you wonder why life feels like such a struggle... honestly, just go find yourself a boyfriend—or two, if that's your speed😁

Well, I'm not even moving unless there are at least two.😁 xD ...you'll be my first, though I still need to find one.😁

Fine then—I'm just some imaginary figure to you, so go ahead and find yourself a real person😍
have you ever tried taking Xanax?

Not really. It's been quite a while... I'm strictly on beta-blockers and antidepressants right now, though they haven't quite kicked in yet. Great.😠

Go ahead—get yourself over to the doctor earlier than scheduled and just be blunt with her. Tell her straight up that you aren’t exactly feeling like a million bucks—you don't really have much of a choice in the matter, do you? Just lay it all out there.

It’s almost funny, isn't it? I suppose there's a certain grim irony to be found in all of this, if one looks closely enough. 😂

Just wanted to drop in and say goodbye for a little while. I’ll be away for a couple of weeks, though I suspect I’ll come back feeling significantly better than I do now.🙂

The doctors have told me that visitors aren't allowed right now.😉

Take care!

I'm taking a relatively small dose of Zyprexa, but it leaves me feeling pretty wiped out. I don't even have the energy to go for a walk. Does this feeling eventually pass?

If anyone could weigh in here, I’d really appreciate it. Regarding beta blockers—I've heard bits and pieces about them, but if someone could clarify exactly what they're used for and how they actually work... I'm curious about when a psychiatrist would typically prescribe a blocker and what the reasoning behind it might be.

Basically, their positive effect comes from dampening the peripheral autonomic
response, which can be strategically used to dial down those physical symptoms of arousal.
That's why beta blockers can take the edge off some of the physical manifestations of anxiety, though they only help mitigate the actual anxiety insofar as it's
being fueled by that feedback loop of physical symptoms.
They're used for PTSD too, if I remember correctly... though I'd rather not go there right now.😉
btw: it just hit me that a few years back I stumbled upon an article online suggesting that beta blockers somehow "erase" traumatic memories... hmm... I can't find it at the moment, but it really shook me up, especially since I've been dealing with this stuff much more intensely for about 5 years now.

Douglas Ramos2, thanks for the reply. I’ve got a few more questions on my mind. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their personal experience with beta-blockers—specifically why you were prescribed them, how they actually make you feel, and whether you've found them to be effective or not. Thanks!
