I tend to take it roughly every six months or so, though I won't dwell on the specifics here...

Man, I've gone up to 30mg and felt absolutely zero effect🙄—plus if you mix it with anything else, you might crash for an hour, but then nothing. Only problem is waking up feeling like you just crawled out of a grave... so yeah, you're definitely not alone here.

Looks like gnki2000 has gone full-on investigative journalist mode just to feed this thread!
Pretty clever way to play the game 🙂

You just gotta find your sweet spot... try something else instead... check your medicine cabinet! I take 50mg of Seroquel and then I'm out like a light... though my dreams are total nonsense. We really need to invent some kind of hologram projector for dreams or hallucinations...🤣🤣

I tried taking Apauran just once, and that was only because my doctor suggested pairing it with another medication... I was shaking like I had been plugged directly into a high-voltage outlet, so yeah, I crossed those pills off my list forever.
Honestly, the only thing that ever actually cured my insomnia was Hegel. There’s this one book of his—I can't recall the title off the top of my head—but one of the opening sentences was a literal page long. I never even made it past the first chapter...🙂

🤣🤣🤣

The body gets used to sedative or sleep meds really fast, and before you know it, you're needing more and more... it's definitely better to take them sparingly and switch things up every now and then....
....for me, after trying various different ones and quickly building up a tolerance.... my doctor prescribed half a pill.... I took it around 9 PM..... I slept roughly from 10 PM until 8 AM, and then when I tried to get up to go to the bathroom.... I practically blacked out.... they told me I was twitching my legs uncontrollably.... the doctor showed up and was getting ready to rush me to the hospital right as I came to (after about 45 minutes) ..... later we realized I had accidentally taken a 50 mg dose instead of the 25 mg I was supposed to have... and apparently, that specific med is banned here in the USA...... I haven't touched anything that heavy ever since.... and I never take them back-to-back anymore.... only when I've gone multiple nights without any sleep at all....

😂If you're already drinking Pilsner, you might want to try Praxiten instead. It’s much smoother than Apurin...
It doesn't hit you quite as hard...

It seems that, for my part, even a dose of diazepam simply isn't quite enough; I find myself in those rather difficult positions where neither olanzapine nor risperidone can ever truly manage to lull me into a deep sleep, no matter how much one might hope they would.☕

Look, maybe people misread what we were actually trying to pull off with this thread—but my goal was simply to bring together everything from neuroleptics and antidepressants to anxiolytics, antipsychotics, and any other psychotropic meds that impact your day-to-day life.

Trust me, there is absolutely no shame in admitting you "take certain types of psychiatric medication." I mean, seriously... I personally know people who use illegal substances and are still highly respected members of society, so honestly, I just don't get the stigma!?!

Look, there’s really no point in dragging that stuff out into the open. What someone chooses to spend their money on is their own damn business. Honestly, most of those high-society types—you know the kind—probably don't even realize people know they use certain... substances. Or maybe they do, but only within their own little bubble of equally questionable characters, so it just feels normal to them. It's all just part of the club, I guess.
Back here in the States, though, if that kind of thing ever actually hits the headlines, people still treat it like some massive, unforgivable scandal.

I gave it a shot, oh God.

There's a reason they call them empty shells 🙂

I like being alive, so I'm not doing that again.

You are likely the sane one here; personally, I find that one out of every hundred people isn't worth the trouble.

Good grief, people, you’re treating these things like they’re just candy!

As for me, I find myself absolutely famished whenever I take even 2 mg—and I rarely even do that. And heaven help me, if I happen to take
5 mg (which is an even rarer occurrence), the hunger is even more intense... though I suspect that's simply because since I use them so infrequently, they actually seem to work quite effectively for me, providing relief without any of those nasty side effects or that overwhelming "hit" to my head. I haven't really ventured into other sedative tablets yet... aside from the herbal ones, obviously.

Regarding that comment above about Xanax being easier to handle than Ativan... honestly, I think it's actually the other way around—that Ativan feels much lighter on the system.

It would actually be quite beneficial to have all these distinctions and mechanisms of action laid out clearly right here in one single discussion.
Very helpful and informative...

Trying to piece this information together by jumping from one random thread to another is such a headache—having it all centralized like this is much more practical, really.

placidhawk20 said:I actually swung by the CVS a couple days ago to check, and they said it’s $49, or maybe around $50 with a prescription. Of course, even for these $49, you still need a script; it just won't be covered by Medicare, so you end up paying full price anyway.

I ended up getting mine using my doctor's prescription along with a note from my psychologist. 🙂

I’m actually on Faverin instead of Lexapro rather than
. For about three weeks straight, I felt like absolute garbage—dizzy spells, constant nausea, heart palpitations, sweating buckets, and this weird tingling sensation in my hands, feet, tongue, even my teeth... honestly, it felt like I was checking off every single side effect listed in the manual. To make matters worse, my panic attacks and anxiety spiked by like 300 percent during that period.
After those first three weeks, everything finally settled down, except for the night sweats. But if I'm being totally real with you, I couldn't care less about the side effects... I've been battling anxiety since I was sixteen years old, and I would give anything just to feel normal. Honestly, compared to the mental struggle, the physical stuff is nothing.
I’ve been on it for four months now and it’s working great. Every once in a while, when things get super stressful, I still get that feeling where I can't quite catch my breath, but overall, it's been a lifesaver.
