placidjackal94 said:Yeah, intense anxiety that makes my thoughts race and some PTSD symptoms. No eating disorders here, though—I eat pretty much anything! :P My starting dose is 15 mg, but my doctor said I could bump it up to 30 mg after a week if I felt it was necessary.

If Mirtazapine works for your anxiety, it’ll definitely take the edge off. Misar is probably just for when you need it while you're adjusting to the antidepressants. Honestly, since Mirtazapine tends to make you sleepy anyway, you might not even end up needing the Misar. I don't know much about Clonazepam, so I won't pretend to be an expert.😉

In my experience, it definitely kills your appetite control. I used to eat pretty much anything I could get my hands on, and honestly, it’s still kind of like that. The only difference is I don't dare touch my Seroquel right now—after six years of struggling, I've finally had six months of solid, uninterrupted sleep. I'm not risking that.🙏

Maria Clark5 said:I URGENTLY need some advice here... I’m on 800 mg of Seroquel and two 300 mg Depakote pills. I was taking them religiously until I started gaining weight at an absolutely insane rate. I went from 49 kg to 76.6 kg in just a month and a half!!! 😲Now I’m avoiding the Depakote because I honestly don't give a damn about this epilepsy I might not even have... but I’m literally getting stretch marks everywhere—on my hips, my waist, my breasts look terrible, it's all red, and even under my arms. I asked my psychiatrist if the Seroquel is causing the weight gain and they just said no. Well, I don't know what else to blame, but I look like a monster right now; if I had a boyfriend, he'd dump me instantly.

How do you guys deal with the weight? I know I should exercise, but I just can't find the motivation. Is there some kind of tea, a pill, or anything to blunt this weight gain? At 4'11", I'm heading toward 220 lbs and it's brutal. My bones and veins actually ache because my small frame can't handle this much weight.🤦

Hey, check out this thread on an American forum if you feel like reading; maybe you'll find something helpful. 😉

Thanks. So I need to look for those two specific meds then... 🤦

It isn't the meds making you fat, it's the food—the meds just make you ravenous.

And honestly? When it comes to the hunger, you just gotta suck it up and suffer through it.

But when I can't help myself, everything tastes incredible. It’s like I’m cursed or something.🙂

Does anyone here take Depakote? Apparently, the fine print says it can cause weight gain too.

I actually had to stop because I couldn't get my hands on it anymore.

As for the constipation thing... honestly, I think most of us deal with that. I rarely take laxatives now. There was a period where I was using them way too much and my body just got used to relying on them.

Check the Walgreens aisle; they have those wheat germ seeds in the red box. They're around $2.00. They work pretty well for me. I'll find out the exact brand name and let you know.

That sounds like a plan; I'll check them out since I'm already feeling way too reliant on laxatives. Thanks.

Maria Clark5 said:Depends on why you're taking it. I was on Mirtazapine for depression and insomnia, and honestly, it works great. But there's one massive downside: it makes you gain weight like crazy. That's why I stopped. As for the number of meds—don't sweat it. I'm currently juggling Xanax, Ativan, Norvasc, Seroquel, Prozac, Ambien, and Celexa... depending on the day. Throw in some Dormicum and you've got my routine. You'll be fine.😉

But wait a second—how on earth are you being cleared to take that many sedatives, plus Xanax, Helix, and Norvasc, while simultaneously using Ambien, Cerner, and Dormicum for sleep? You can't just mix those kinds of heavy-duty sedatives together without asking questions; it seems incredibly risky.

Anyway, I’m currently on Lexapro and a very low dose of Mirzaten, so I haven't seen much weight gain—maybe just a couple of pounds. I use it primarily to help me sleep, but I always make sure to pair it with either Cerner or Ambien.

I find that hard to believe myself—either someone is just trolling at this point, or the doctor is completely out of the loop.🤔

So, I’ve been on Cipralex for about two months now, taking 10 mg every single day, and I just started my second pack. Honestly, I’m thinking about calling it quits once this box is empty because it’s really taken a toll on my libido—mostly dealing with weaker erections and finding it way harder to reach an orgasm. It's super frustrating! I was wondering, though, is it actually okay to stop taking Cipralex after such a short stint? Like, can I still expect to see any lasting results—either good or bad—once I finally stop?

Hey everyone! So, it’s been 3 weeks since I started on Zoloft—just half a 50 mg pill a day so far. Honestly? Not feeling any better. Zero movement. Starting tomorrow, I’m bumping it up to the full tablet... Is it too early to expect anything after just 3 weeks?!

Zoloft starts working after 4 days🙂
----

I previously transitioned off Lexapro, which I discontinued, and I’ve been on Citramon for about two weeks now, yet I can’t see any improvement whatsoever—absolutely nothing.
My depression is at its absolute peak; I can barely, and I mean barely, find the strength to even step outside. This beautiful spring weather means absolutely NOTHING to me right now.
My emotions are completely flat.
My libido is non-existent.

WTF!!!!

And my doctor is refusing to prescribe any kind of mood lifter to help me out.

About three years ago, I was on Zoloft for eight months, and I think it took almost three full months before I actually started feeling a difference...

Has anyone here tried Brintellix? Apparently, it's one of those newer ones on the market—does anyone have any experience with it?

Thanks for getting back to me. So, why'd you stop taking the Zoloft?

I took it back in 2012 for about eight months, but I didn't need it after that. I was going through a really rough patch at the time—dealing with the loss of my parents—and it helped me quite a bit. So, I'd maybe suggest being patient... I haven't actually taken any antidepressants before or since then, but now I'm thinking about trying this newer one, Brintellix, just to see if it can help lift my mood a little...

Dropped by Bundalica's on Tuesday and told her Prozac actually hits pretty well. She just laughed and said don't be surprised when junkies start calling it ecstasy. LOL

Better off just taking Prozac.

Man, I am so sorry about your folks. Finding the right med is such a nightmare. I used to take Prozac and it was fine, but I was on it for years and eventually, it just stopped doing anything for me. Then I tried Faverin and Cipralex... honestly, they were meh. Now they've got me on Zoloft because I'm pregnant... but yeah, I've been taking it for three weeks now and I don't feel a single thing changing...
