We wanted 🙂
all I saw were lines even after an hour had passed
A few years ago, I bought a Clearblue and it showed a positive immediately, but those things are nearly $25 now. The pharmacist told me the cheaper brands are just as reliable, but these results from a few minutes ago have me totally confused.
Thanks for clearing that up 🙂

Ryan Morris15 said:My cycles tend to fluctuate between 29 and 35 days, so if I hit day 29 one month and then don't see anything by day 33 the next, I suppose I can never be entirely certain whether it’s actually late or just another instance of a longer cycle 🤷
and I imagine that kind of delay could stem from stress, or perhaps some physiological shift you haven't even consciously noticed, among many other possible factors

I am in the exact same boat. My cycles are absolutely erratic; they have even stretched out to 60 days before. My last period was July 15th, and based on any reasonable calculation, I should be significantly late by now, but I haven't heard a peep... and I am quite certain I ovulated. It really should have arrived by now...🤷 but it hasn't, and I'm not feeling any symptoms at all. To make matters worse, I already took a test three weeks ago and it came back negative...

Lately, though—over these last couple of months—it feels like almost everyone is dealing with a late period or some kind of irregular cycle. Why? Who actually knows... but there's definitely a trend here. Is it the summer heat or some other weird environmental factor🤷...

Since you already took a test, I'm assuming if it's negative, then it's negative. Period.

Have you noticed more saliva in your mouth than usual lately?

I haven't noticed anything weird with my saliva🤷 everything feels pretty standard, at least from what I can tell... oh, I forgot to mention that a few days after my period ended, around July 26th or 27th, I had this pinkish discharge😕 which lasted for about two or three days... it showed up roughly a week after my period finished. I don't know... I guess it'll show up eventually. If not, I'll just go buy another test... a friend of mine—this was a long, long time ago—got a negative result on two tests even though she was pregnant

That part sounds a bit off for you... mentioning the spotting, hmm... that isn't ideal...

I honestly have no clue what it could be... maybe just try another test... those cheap ones are easy enough to find...

As for your friend, uhhhh... maybe she messed up the timing... or tested way too early...🤷

I’m more confused than I’ve ever been in my life... I took a 1step test this morning and it showed this faint, barely there line😕. So then my boyfriend ran out to grab an Easy Test, and that one didn't show anything at all—just a straight up negative😕😕. Honestly, I think I trust the Easy Test more... I just don't know. My breasts have started aching tonight, too, so maybe my period is just coming... It's enough to drive you crazy...

So, how much time actually passed between that first test and this Intim Plus one? Because honestly... if you saw even a tiny little line on that first one... there's a real chance you might have a little one on the way...😉

About twenty minutes later... but that little scratch was honestly pathetic, just incredibly weak, you could tell, but still so weak... I don't know if I ever mentioned that I'm a total hypochondriac...😠So I’ve just been sitting here spiraling, convinced that I’m going to end up needing surgery for some minor issue, or God forbid, something actually life-threatening, or... well, you know how it goes... 😢

If you tested only 20 minutes after you thought, honestly, that Clearblue probably didn't give you the full picture. How many days late are you? I feel like 20 minutes just isn't enough time for that hCG hormone to build up enough to show clearly, which is why everyone says to use your first morning pee when the concentration is at its peak. You can technically use an Easy@Home test any time of day, but you really shouldn't be drinking a ton of water right before, or it'll be too diluted.
But hey, usually if you can see a line at all, it's a definite positive...
So, what's the plan? What are you hoping for?

My last period was July 12th, so that puts me at day 47—and I've been feeling this dull, nagging ache on my left side, so I can't help but wonder if it's just a cyst causing all this delay...😕

it's such a massive gap, because if I actually conceived, it likely happened around August 7th... and if I were pregnant, I feel like every single test would have caught it by now...

I honestly think you might be pregnant, especially since you had that reddish spotting about a week after... sounds like implantation to me... definitely take another test first thing tomorrow morning. I really don't think it's just a regular period, but maybe it's best to hit up your OB-GYN just to be safe, though I have a feeling we'll be celebrating a new addition to the family soon 👍

I have an appointment on September 7th... we’ll run one more test tomorrow morning and I'll let you know how it goes. After that, I'm done with all these tests and waiting for the doctor's visit, because this constant uncertainty and the stress of it all is starting to wear me down...

Don't let it get to you, you're totally right to feel that way. Just one more test tomorrow morning and then wait for that doctor's appointment. Let us know what the test says... sending you so much luck, I really hope everything turns out exactly how you're hoping...👍

Chloe Morgan6, I hope you might reconsider having a child eventually. I realize it wasn't planned and that you see pregnancy primarily as a burden right now, but once you're holding a tiny, sweet baby—a whole new person—I suspect you might not regret it as much as you think. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

I'm 20. And I wrote that I don't know what I'll do because, well, I really don't know what I'm going to do or how, mostly because I'm still in college. I should be finishing my freshman year, so everything feels kind of messed up right now. Plus, my boyfriend is younger than me—he's actually just a senior in high school ( 😍 ), so it’s a bit much for him too. But... I've decided I'm going to have the baby. To be honest, I've never even seriously considered an abortion. I mean, I support people making their own choices, obviously, but I just don't think I could ever do that. Maybe if I were 15, I might have thought about it, maybe. But I'm older now. It isn't an ideal situation by any stretch, but I think I can handle it all... 😁

I've been browsing through this forum quite a bit lately, since I used to spend almost all my time here not too long ago myself. And honestly, I went through a situation very similar to yours... though I was just a tiny bit older than you at the time. I was still a student, had no job, and then—bam—I found myself pregnant when I least expected it. At first, there were tears, pure shock, and total disbelief... I remember coming home from CVS crying, and I couldn't even get a single word out to my family. My mom actually thought I was terribly ill at first... and I just had to tell her, "No, Mom, I'm pregnant..." and then, within just two days, everything started falling into place; we even set a wedding date and all that. But then, a week later, because of all the stress and the sheer fear, I ended up in the hospital because the pregnancy wasn't progressing quite right. So, please, honey, don't worry yourself too much... just stay happy and cherish that little one; that's what matters most, and everything else will work itself out eventually. Don't even let the thought of an abortion cross your mind; being a mother is truly one of the most beautiful things in the world. Despite all the chaos, my husband and I got married, and today we have the most precious 17-month-old little blonde boy, our Philip 😍

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that everything turns out exactly the way you hope it does... the baby is the most important thing right now, and I promise you'll find time to study for your exams whenever the little one is sleeping. GOOD LUCK!

Hey 🙂

So, I’m actually heading to the OB-GYN pretty soon to have someone officially confirm that I'm pregnant and get the ball rolling on the next steps, you know how it works. Tomorrow I’ll obviously have to break the news to my parents, which is honestly what's weighing on me most... just hoping my dad doesn't absolutely lose it on me 😁 I mean, he won't, but there's definitely going to be some serious drama. Anyway, whatever happens, hopefully the baby will be healthy and in my arms in about nine months, and I'll have everything sorted out by then, I guess!

I actually had the same fear about my parents being upset... but their reaction totally caught me off guard; they were actually so happy! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, please let us know how it all goes... and what does your boyfriend think about it all?

The kid was pretty shaken up at first, just a totally shell-shocked little guy. And I mean, I can totally see why, he's only a senior in high school. 😁 But overall, he told me he’s one hundred percent behind me and he’ll do whatever needs to be done. We’re both mentally bracing ourselves to break the news to our parents, which I guess is why we're both acting so on edge lately. But, like I said, it’s just how things have to go, right? I don't think I could keep it from them... they raised me and they love me, so maybe it’ll all just work out okay in the end. I'll keep you guys posted! 🙂
