... One evening, I pulled into my apartment complex parking lot. It was pitch black out and the ground was a total skating rink—pure ice and packed snow. As I stepped out of my car, I heard a woman's voice right behind me ask:
"How are you handling this ice?"

... For a split second, I thought she was talking to someone else nearby, but when I turned around, there she was, standing alone between two parked cars, looking straight at me.
"I don't know, it's pretty slick out here," I replied. 😂 😬

"I have no idea what to do, this ice is a total nightmare," she said. Acting like some kind of knight in shining armor, I headed toward her, completely oblivious to the situation. 😁

... Once I got close, I realized she was quite young (and honestly, very attractive 😉). Naturally, I reached out my hand, and she grabbed it like it was a lifeline.
... We started walking toward the building, and that’s when it hit me: she was wearing these thin little sneakers with zero traction. There was absolutely no way she could navigate that ice on her own. Walking along there, holding hands, it felt almost cinematic. I was actually sweating a little, trying to think of something clever to say to keep the conversation going, just to find out who she was... turns out, she was heading to the same entrance as me, but she wasn't a neighbor; she was just visiting an elderly lady in my building. 🙄

... Who knows if our paths will cross again? 😢 ... Still, it was a pretty interesting encounter. 🙂

... Man, that would have made a great story to tell the grandkids... share yours 🙂

This is one of those posts meant to stir the pot... let’s pivot from just being annoying to actually being funny or maybe even a little bit biting.😁

I was just lounging on the couch, scratching my stomach, when this gorgeous girl walks in carrying a six-pack of cold beers. She cracks one open for me and says, "Honey... you seriously have the best dick in the world." Then she leans down... flips the channel to the game, and starts going to town on me. Right then, her friend walks in holding a slice of pizza, hands it to me, and goes, "Robert... you really do have the best dick in the world," before joining in on the action. The game ended with my team winning by about 500 goals. Ah... romance...😁

... how brilliant of you, my dim-witted friend. What exactly is the pinnacle of wisdom they’re teaching you over at the Church? 🙄

... if you can't handle the topic or simply lack anything productive to contribute, why don't you head to the restroom and stick your head in a toilet? maybe that'll wash away those memories...

So, where do I even start...
It was nearly ten years ago when we first met and fell in love.😍
He was away on a business trip or something... just one of those things...😉

After that, we didn't speak for five years. I wasn't interested.😳
Once I graduated, I spent the summer working at a local coffee shop... life just moved on...

Then one day, a couple sits down at a table, holding hands. When I brought their order over, one of them stood up and pulled out a photo of us together... He came back after five years just to find me because he couldn't let go... He was persistent. He showed up every single weekend...😳

Oh, you have got to be kidding me...
If I were in charge, first I’d track you down myself, and then I’d let those guys finally finish what they started! 😁

The thread was already titled "memories of the good old days"... and honestly, I don't think anyone actually needs that.

He was just talking about something that happened recently 😉 Take off those dark glasses and actually look at the world around you 🙂

We went way too hard at the office... I actually made a smart move and cut myself off once my stomach started acting up toward the end of the night, so I was already halfway sober by the time we had to head out.

She hopped on the train with me, so we stumbled our way to the station together. I sat her down on a bench because she couldn't stay on her feet, and we just waited for the train. Suddenly, she looked pale—I knew she was going to be sick, and we were standing on this brightly lit platform packed with people. I didn't want her to be humiliated in front of everyone.

I quickly pulled my backpack off, emptied everything out of it, and held the bag open so she could use it to get sick.

Anyway, she ended up sitting in my lap on the ride home; she’d vomit into the backpack whenever she felt the urge; I wiped her face with a tissue; I took her from the station to her place in a taxi and then headed home on my own.

The next day, she didn't remember a single thing. 😂

I honestly think it’ll happen before she even gets embarrassed enough to claim she doesn't remember..

You're probably right 😉

She finally worked up the nerve a few days ago and asked if my memory of it was accurate... 🙂

... I guess 🤔 🙄

... it just seems to me that people either lack romantic stories or aren't romantic themselves, so they haven't lived them—or there simply aren't any romantic souls in this group. 🙄

Klein 👍

Not quite. It’s more that nobody wants to dwell on past romance when it just serves as a painful reminder of how things are right now.

Brown Acid said:Wrong. Nobody wants to dwell on past romance because it just highlights how much things suck right now..

... this thread wasn't even meant to be a deep dive into tragic backstories... people were just invited to share their romantic stories—how they met someone they care about, or someone who "was" dear to them, and remains a fond memory... I didn't intend for anyone to suffer or revisit sad moments because of this thread...

... if you missed the point or simply haven't experienced anything like this in your life, then explain why you're the one posting the most in this thread...

... either you're carrying some massive grudge that makes you this bitter, or you're just an obnoxious brat who feels the need to stick your nose into everything, even where it doesn't belong...

(... by the way, I'm asking the moderators to please clean this up and delete off-topic posts—including this one... and if that's too much trouble, just kill the thread entirely, since it clearly doesn't belong here...)

I remember this one moment that was just so incredibly romantic. My boyfriend drove all the way from his hometown—it was several hours away—just to surprise me. When he pulled up, he handed me this tiny little teddy bear that he’d brought along. He had actually buckled the bear into the passenger seat with its own seatbelt, like it was his little travel companion for the trip.
It goes without saying that I completely melted. 😍
