The real issue with this Reddit thread is how people on the Left just declare themselves as such. They basically self-appoint to that little "Left vs. Right" chart you see in some high school civics textbook from a state college curriculum—I can't remember if it was freshman or sophomore year—and then they try to disqualify anyone who disagrees by slapping them with a "Right-wing" label. It's just them trying to claim both sides of that textbook diagram for themselves 😁.
This so-called Left is actually lightyears away from the rest of the American people... the very people they claim to represent in the first place...
Maybe the reason the Left seems so hard to pin down or feels "self-proclaimed" to you is because you guys on the Right have this habit of swarming around any dictator figure, and that kind of blind loyalty makes it hard to see clearly.
On the other hand, your crowd is incredibly easy to spot. You're defined by that exact behavior—that mob mentality surrounding authoritarian leaders and the constant, stubborn attempts to justify the crimes committed by those leaders and their extremist enforcers. We've seen this movie before.
