Two ethical dilemmas

Give this a shot—the answer is pretty eye-opening!

1) Imagine you know a pregnant woman who already has eight children. Out of those kids, three are deaf, two are blind, and one has an intellectual disability. On top of that, the mother is suffering from syphilis. Would you advise her to have an abortion? Just think about it and answer for yourself. Now, move on to the next question:

2) It’s time to elect a leader for the entire world. Your vote is the tiebreaker. Here is some background info on the three main candidates:

Candidate A has ties to some "sketchy" politicians and consults astrologers. He’s had two affairs, smokes constantly, and knocks back 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B has been fired from two different jobs, sleeps in until noon, used narcotics back in college, and drinks a quarter-liter of whiskey every single night.

Candidate C is a decorated war hero with multiple medals. He’s also a vegetarian, only has a beer once in a blue moon, and has never cheated on his wife.

Now, quietly pick in your mind which one should be the world leader.

Once you've made your choice for both questions, check the answers below.

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt
Candidate B is Winston Churchill
Candidate C is Adolf Hitler

Oh, and regarding the abortion question—yes or no? If you answered YES, you just killed Ludwig van Beethoven.

But look at this reality check: today in Sudan, 5,443 children passed away from hunger and disease. Who knows how many future politicians, humanists, musicians, or scientists were lost in that group? Nobody knows, and honestly, nobody ever will.

Calling Adi a war hero is a massive stretch. He was just a low-ranking corporal who went temporarily blind due to gas exposure.
Regardless, I wouldn't vote for any of these candidates; I’d simply abstain.

If a woman came to me for advice, I'd tell her that the choice is hers alone, and whether her child might have grown up to be a musical genius doesn't change that reality.
Of course, clearly God knows much more about that than I ever will.😁

I feel exactly the same way. 😁And let’s not overlook the issue of his various affairs; he can hardly claim to be acting with any sense of moral clarity when his own personal indiscretions are so rampant. Does he honestly expect us to believe that his judgment isn't being clouded by his own messy private life? He shouldn't be attempting to project his frustrations onto the rest of us when he hasn't even achieved a baseline level of personal stability.

I feel like I’ve heard this one all before, but if you’re asking me, I’d put it this way:

1. I definitely wouldn't tell her what to do, mostly because I don't believe it's anyone's place to advise someone on whether or not to have an abortion.
No matter what the circumstances look like from the outside, nobody has the right to judge someone else's life choices, and frankly, none of us can crawl inside another person's head to understand the weight of everything they're carrying. 😁
So, my answer is no—not because I think she made the wrong call, but just because I find the idea of telling someone else how to handle something so deeply personal to be fundamentally wrong. Little Ludwig shouldn't be caught up in any of this. 😁😁

2. As for presidents, I don't really buy into the whole concept, honestly. I wouldn't pick anyone, simply because I have zero desire to see anyone sitting in that office. 😬

I definitely wouldn't kill Beethoven—I could never live with myself after "advising" anyone toward an abortion. As for politicians or Presidents, I wouldn't base my vote on private matters like the issues being discussed here.
