That is true, yet on numerous occasions, an "argument" has been presented here claiming that Joseph Stalin was merely a dictator who seized power without an election, whereas Ronald Reagan was democratically elected several times.

Well, I simply find myself wondering which of them we would actually choose today, now that we have experienced the rule of both. Nothing more.

It reminds me of that Spielberg film where Peter Parker is outside with his son, John. It’s night, and the kid has spent his entire life living in a basement; he and the others have been fed all these stories about how there's a war going on outside—or used to be, long ago—so this is his first time actually seeing the world. He looks up at the moon and asks his father if that's the sun. His dad tells him it's just the moon. Then John spots a deer and asks what that is, and his father explains. After a moment of silence, the kid just says, "Dad... let's go back to the basement."
