I’m not lonely—honestly, I’m in a very happy relationship—but every single time I wander into this specific subforum, I feel this overwhelming sense of dread. It’s just so incredibly depressing... all these heartbreaking threads about people being abandoned, cheated on, or left completely isolated
. I really need to stop visiting this corner of the internet....

Man, some people are so dramatic...

Whenever I'm back in the States, I basically turn into a stone wall. Just look at how I treat Latica... she's dealing with all this heavy stuff, and I just mess with her. It's how I roll...

Don't take these forums personally. People aren't used to having a massive crowd jumping down your throat all at once...

The social dynamics and psychology of this forum have been pretty obvious to the old-timers for a long time now... 😁

Honestly, I think I’m just going to sit this one out and refrain from commenting... 😁

I’m simply pointing out the fact that the people flocking to the US generally fall into a few specific categories, usually driven by very different motives:

a) they’re looking for comfort, help, or some kind of advice
b) they’re hunting for a sucker to mess with
c) they’re scouting for a partner among the crowd
d) they’re seeking solace in the simple fact that someone else has it even worse than they do
e) all sorts of other things...

Every once in a while, I dip my toes back into the US and LJES just to remind myself why I stay away 😱 😢 🙄 😛 🙂

It’s all just the same ancient sin, really. Women cast men out of paradise—instilling this perpetual sense of guilt, a monthly biological tax in the form of menstruation. It's quite simple, actually: women have become accustomed to pain. They seek it out, they crave it... And if a partner isn't willing to provide that specific kind of friction in a relationship, they won't hesitate to go find it somewhere else.
