Tell me: what interesting form does Satan take when he attempts to lead you astray from your spiritual path?

For instance, just yesterday, he manifested in the form of a brand-new digital satellite receiver. I acquired it perfectly legally for about $110—it was essentially a refurbished unit offered at half price due to a minor technical glitch that had already been fixed, and they even threw in the antenna and installation for free.

It will be a monumental temptation not to turn on the television.

Or consider the recent arrival of an old friend you haven't seen in years, appearing right as you are deep into your spiritual practice; you find yourself reluctantly leaving your meditation to go out and drink in the name of "the good old days," thereby abandoning weeks of disciplined work...

But his most frequent incarnation is that of an attractive woman with a stunning physique, appearing precisely at the moment you are nearing the end of your practice, completely oblivious to the spiritual discipline you are undertaking...

In what guise does Satan appear to you, and do you truly possess the strength to resist such things?

I am definitely a TV addict. I have cable with about 35 channels, and honestly, none of them are particularly smart, but I’ll sit there flipping through them even when I’m not actually enjoying it. I only really watch the stuff that catches my interest.

And if a friend calls me at 10 PM? That’s it. It’s game over for whatever I was supposed to be doing. One drink turns into another, we head out, and suddenly I'm having the best time ever while my responsibilities pile up.

Plus, I smoke at least a pack a day (and no, I can't exactly quote the Bible and smoke at the same time—that would be like trying to read Hemingway while lighting up). 🙄

I'll admit it: finding the strength to resist is pretty rare for me.

My guardian angels won't let me "play" with the devil or any of his disguises.

Every single time he shows up and I even think about looking, an angel swoops in and knocks me senseless just to keep me from seeing.😢

It’s intense! Honestly, even the angels don't seem like the ones they used to be.

I'm being serious here. You really have to learn how to read between the lines. 😉

There’s another trick to it. I can feel it creeping up on me 😈, but I’ve actually made a little progress in managing it:

You know that feeling when someone attacks you or accuses you for absolutely no reason? Those moments where someone else's aggression triggers you, and even though you know deep down there's zero basis for their claims, everything inside you is just screaming. You have to force yourself to stay cool 😎 and just take the hit—to wait for the situation to settle down. That’s my biggest struggle: dealing with that internal reaction.

Selfishness, envy, arrogance... honestly, it's revolting.

But look, I’m starting to recognize the signs, so I don't always just sit there and take it. Besides, I've got people looking out for me, haven't I? 🙂

For instance, when you are working on your little magic spells, have you ever noticed that they never seem to manifest on time, or even within any semblance of a reasonable timeframe?

Since when did magic come with deadlines? I have to ask—what specific niche are you focusing on these days?

My only real experience has been with myself... honestly, I have to keep a close eye on things to make sure I don't let my ego get the better of me every once in a while.

I have to admit, I’ve never been one to point fingers at the obstacles or the setbacks that crop up along my life's journey or my spiritual path.
In my heart, I truly believe that the responsibility lies solely with me, simply because I allowed myself to be influenced by outside forces... I could never bring myself to blame the Devil (or God) for my own struggles.
At the end of the day, I suppose I am my own worst enemy 😎
