I accidentally synced my mom's laptop with mine—she didn't have an email account, so I just used mine to get her set up. Now her machine is cluttered with all my bookmarks, browsing history, the whole works. How do I wipe my data from there and just sync it to a fresh account?

This might be a bit of a silly question, but what actually happens when you log out? Does the data stay synced? I know there’s a setting somewhere within Google—I just need to track down exactly where it's tucked away...

Nothing changes.
Even if I try logging in with a completely different email, the issue persists. I'm stuck having to manually scrub every single bookmark, password, and bit of data one by one.

Joshua Miller7, wait, are we talking about Chrome the browser or a whole Chromebook laptop? I've actually never laid eyes on one of those laptops in person, so I'm not totally sure, but if you're just messing around in the browser, try doing it like this:

Basically, you just click your name up in the top right corner, then hit Manage People. From there, click that little profile icon in the top right, tap those three little vertical dots, and then go with Remove this person and boom—you're done.
