It is a masterclass in high-level, polished cynicism, tailored specifically for the masses. Truly impressive work.

I suppose I’m just insulting the rabble, and frankly, I don't see why I shouldn't; we are all just part of the same gutter.

Absolute gold! 🎉

Hang in there, Ginger. Things will turn around eventually... maybe.

Oh, they sure will. 🎉

Just wait until digitization kicks those party loyalists right out of the New York City bureaucracy.

Or once they put out a public tender for high-tech electric brooms.

After that, all those perpetually miserable special interest groups—you know, the actual citizens, workers, unions, and reporters will start singing their hearts out on every street corner in the city.

I?
What's the catch?
So, did TT finally realize that Milomir Bandić’s old crew actually knows how to get things done?
It feels like Eric Adams doesn't actually have any of his own people who know how to get things done, so he’s just stuck relying on the old crew left behind by Milomir Bandić.
Does TT actually have the legal authority to fire everyone Milomir Bandić left behind?

At the exact same time, Deputy Mayor Dolenc is out there pulling the trigger on a new street sweeper for $550,000. $0.00 $1,850 for a broomstick? You've got to be kidding me. $0.00 - excluding sales tax—we're looking at roughly 20,000 brooms if they actually settle the bill. $33 Man, if they actually pay them by... $17 It's not actually 30. Usually, if you're looking to pick them up at any of the trade shows, they go for around $40,000.

With just 40,000 street sweepers, New York City is supposed to be shining like a Christmas ornament.
Look, they’ve planned for 40,000 brooms over two years, not just one.
How many sanitation crews with those three-wheeled carts actually use birch brooms?
".....and alongside 30 new electric ones, we still have the mechanical vehicles, which number 296.
That brings the total to 330.
And if they need brooms for all that—we're talking 40,000 to 50,000.
That averages out to about 20,000 or maybe 25,000 brooms a year for 300 carts.
Honestly, this feels no different from how Milomir Bandić used to handle procurement.
It looks like each one is going to cost $50.

Just look at the price of a single birch broom—they aren't cheap:
So, try doing the math on how many tens of thousands of brooms you can get for $1.8 million at those prices.

https://www.google.com/url?esrc=s&q=&rct=j&sa=U&url= s2J8BJ_1cViydmCF

Am I just failing at basic math here? Because, seriously, I don't get it.

Your math actually checks out.
It’s what we call "money laundering"... something costs $10 but you end up paying $50.

Of course, when some small-time vendor at Pike Place Market loses $0.67... suddenly five inspectors are breathing down their neck.

The only question is how much clout you actually have. If you're powerful, nobody cares. But if you aren't? Then you're just an easy target, like that vendor getting crushed over a few ounces of tomatoes.

Plenty of random people get appointed as project managers without seeing a single dime extra from it.
I don't get why anyone thinks this is controversial. He got the title. That's it.
That's how the system works. If he wasn't officially appointed but was still running the whole show, would that be "okay" with you?

Why wouldn't he be? It's not like he has some magical superpower.

Being named a project manager isn't exactly winning an Oscar. Seriously. It's not even a big deal. Nobody actually cares about this stuff.

Except for the media, obviously—and they're only making noise because his sister is that failed, overweight socialite.

Yeah, sure, until he gets fired for being a Republican Party crony who got the job and passed his civil service exam just because the Republican Party pulled strings—and because his sister, who's a minister accused of corruption, fixed everything for him.

Either way, it looks a hell of a lot better than most of those fly-by-night setups you see around town
BUT I’m really wondering who actually walked away with the cash that was supposed to go to Bandić from this whole deal???
It honestly reminds me of something that went down in my own family where the owner signed over an apartment and then had an accident before the final payment could be made, so they just settled everything in cash
Now the new owner is insisting everything was paid out to the deceased, but the family has absolutely no clue where the money actually ended up😉
I bet this project is going to end up with someone picking up a little "donation" just to make the paperwork move faster

The issue here is that you can't just hand out terminations however you imagine. 😁

You have to deal with reality a bit, otherwise you're just shouting into the void...

In this case, she's only been accused—which means, first of all, she's legally innocent—so you can't act on that alone. You don't have any actual evidence of "fixing the job"... without proof, you aren't breaking anything. The contract is signed, so you just move forward the best way you can, not how you wish it worked.

If you had room to maneuver, fine.

But when you don't, you respect the legal order for what it is. You don't go head-first into a wall just to end up paying him damages later, while also having to pay a successor...

And besides, it's not always as straightforward as "he has ties to the Republican Party, therefore automatic firing."

Alright, I get what you're saying.
If T-Mobile decided to hire Gabby, Mary, or Tolušić tomorrow, you’d probably be right there defending them—honestly.
There’s really no point in going back and forth on this anymore, so I'll just say peace out. 👍

Kačunko, take a beat here. Lately, you’ve been posting like you haven't got a clue what's actually happening. 😁

It's not that you don't get why you can't just hand out terminations whenever you feel like it—you'd end up facing a lawsuit and paying damages, which is just a basic, proven fact... and one that courts have upheld plenty of times before—but instead, you just complain;

and then, to make matters worse, you treat the actual facts of the situation as if they were just some imaginary scenario, like those fake rumors about Tolušić getting hired.

Out of nowhere, too.

Then you go shouting at the Official Gazette, throwing accusations everywhere based on your own made-up theories, and somehow acting like someone else is at fault during the conversation. 😁

There's just no sense in writing like this. I mean, technically you're making points, but statements and opinions still need to be grounded in some kind of reality...😁

When someone who brags about rigging referendum results and proudly claims membership in a criminal political party starts lecturing us about "rigged competitions"... well, if one of your own cronies had dumped a mountain of brooms onto $100/the city, would everything suddenly be fine then?

If this whole broom situation is actually true, it’s an absolute disgrace. Honestly, I'm just glad JOHABI was the one to call it out.
It would be truly wonderful if she applied that same level of analytical rigor to procurement processes, especially considering her favorite party is currently running the show.

The media has started digging into the price tag for the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge opening ceremony under this Republican Party administration—questioning who is getting paid what and how they’re sourcing goods and services for the festivities. Naturally, the Republican Party mouthpiece JOHABI jumped in to express outrage over the procurement of birch brooms for the street cleaners.

Of course, because she's being predictably unhelpful, the JOHABI operative failed to provide a link to the actual tender. Instead, she’s just spinning her usual fabrications, acting as if she’s some ultimate authority on everything, including procurement processes.

Things are about to get incredibly interesting here in New York City. T-Mobile can't even manage basic logistics, let alone waste management. Once the stench finally penetrates the collective consciousness of New Yorkers, Eric Adams won't be able to retreat from the mayoralty fast enough. Tick tock...

What does that even have to do with anything? That’s exactly why we’re stuck in this mess—every time there's a heist or some shady deal, the Democrats just pivot to saying the Republicans did it more or did it too. This isn't about that specific topic, though; it's just about whether he's telling the truth or not.

I found this expense report.

It says they’re ordering 73,330 brooms.

Based on what the news has been saying about past purchases of those Brezov brand brooms, it looks like they're buying them for all the different branches under the New York City municipal umbrella and the sanitation department.

So, which company is actually supplying the brooms?
Edit: Ah, never mind, apparently they still haven't decided. It’s stuck in the red tape.

So it's based $8.25per broom, yet she just fabricated this whole narrative about $67per broom costs.

At the very least, an apology is overdue...

How many was Bandić's procurement actually for?

So, get this... the city is dropping something like $270,000 on 77,000 birch brooms. Yeah, you read that right. Just a massive pile of cash for a mountain of sticks. I guess when you've got millions of taxpayer dollars just sitting around, buying overpriced cleaning supplies seems like a solid plan, right? Maybe they think we're all just going to ignore where the money's actually going. It’s just typical, really. Just one more ridiculous expense from the city budget while everything else stays broken. Typical.
So, I was digging through this piece about how Eric Adams is supposedly cleaning house in New York City, and man, it’s just the same old song and dance, isn't it? They’re talking about all these sweeping changes—basically trying to grab the broom and sweep away everything left over from Bandić's era. It’s all about restructuring the departments and making sure the new administration actually has some control over the mess that was left behind. The whole thing feels like a massive reorganization effort aimed at getting rid of the old guard. You’ve got the Department of General Administration and Property-Legal Affairs and the Department of Associations and Foundations being shuffled around, which I guess is supposed to be "efficiency," but honestly, it just looks like moving deck chairs on the Titanic to me. They’re citing the Local Government Employee Act to justify moving people around, but we’ve heard that one before. It's always "restructuring" when they really just want to clear out the people who were loyal to the previous guys. It’s pretty cynical, if you ask me. They talk about transparency and fixing the system, but it feels more like a power grab to ensure the current leadership can run the show without any pushback from the old crew. I don't know, maybe I'm just being pessimistic, but after seeing how these things usually play out in big cities like NYC, it feels like a lot of bureaucratic maneuvering just to settle old scores. It’s probably going to be a long, messy process before anyone actually notices a difference on the ground. Just more politics, I guess.

I guess I'll just leave it at that. $7.75/kom 2019.
