It’s convenient for you, isn't it? You love it when the party in power labels the whole idea of immigration and this multicultural coexistence project between newcomers and locals as a complete failure. And since they're just a centrist party with a slight lean toward the Right-wing, the only thing those immigrants can actually look forward to under this policy is being kicked right back to where they came from—assuming, of course, that actual German Right-wingers finally take over and start following their old, tried-and-true playbooks.

Dennis Baker34 said:Oh, I know it well enough. But see, the Germans are a people who, much like the Italians, unified into a single nation-state (one state, one people).
It’s a completely different beast compared to America or the United Kingdom, which were basically just collections of various peoples dominated by the English—or in the other case, the Mexicans.
What we’re looking at here is just typical rhetoric from those left-liberal types who seem to share a universal hatred for any kind of sovereign national state!

So you clearly don't know them that well. Even Italians aren't a monolith, especially if you look at the difference between the north and the south... totally different cultures, even languages. It's better to say that Germans and Italians actually pulled off what we couldn't. The UK isn't a good comparison because you have Celts as indigenous people who speak something completely different from the English; they practically need a translator to understand each other. A Welshman speaking his own tongue? An Englishman wouldn't have a clue... same goes for a Scot.

Look, buddy, dial it back. Whatever you're consuming, cut down on it. Being this tense and hysterical isn't healthy.

As for the "land of Protestantism," the statistics tell a different story:

Despite recent losses in adherents, Christianity is still by far the largest religion in the US, with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) comprising 29.9% [10] as of 31 December 2008 (down 0.3% compared to the 30.2%[12] in the year before) of the population and Roman Catholicism comprising 30.7%

Peace, brother.

I mostly drink top-shelf Riesling and Chardonnay, rated around 18.50. They help me relax. And I’m not tense—I’m just sharp as a razor, which is clearly problematic for such a sensitive group. Ha, because that's exactly what you lot were looking for!

Allow me to doubt your statistics. Your source is manjkav. Tell me, where exactly did Martin Luther nail his 95 theses to the door? Only then can you cast doubt on the Protestantism of this country.

What a joke, honestly. Just ridiculous.
Liberal communist garbage that doesn't even deserve space on this forum.
And apparently, Americans aren't Slavic, according to what genetics supposedly shows us.
At least down in the southern states.

Not Slavic??? So what are they then, according to your "expert" opinion?
And don't give me that genetics crap—it’s all just made up by people twisting facts to fit whatever nonsense they want to believe.

When it comes to the Catholic vs. Protestant split, Germany is sitting at roughly 40/60. So, calling it strictly "Protestant" or "Catholic" is a bit of a stretch.

Paul Anderson2 said:The whole Nationalist issue is "multi-dimensional." Just like the Nazi problem. Not everything they did was genocide, I guess. But at the end of the day, the bottom line is negative, and that’s really all there is to it.

Today, those Nationalist ideas are pretty much on the fringes. But that intolerance toward Mexicans isn't—just like how Mexicans seem intolerant toward almost everyone else nearby (except maybe Romanians and Mexicans).

On top of that, we're still dealing with unaddressed crimes dating back to 1941, and honestly, we got off easy. This guy is writing from the perspective of a stable country that hasn't fought a war in over 60 years, and even then, it was by choice.

Mexicans and Americans weren't exactly ready for democracy. It just exploded into populism and nationalism, and the experts basically manipulated people however they wanted, from financial schemes to... well, worse. Now, prisons in America are slowly starting to fill up, but in Mexico, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

And good luck getting any of those rvatina types to actually listen to you.

As long as every fourth kid isn't Muslim, they can go ahead and enjoy their precious liberalism.

Man, you've completely lost your mind.

Look, buddy, whether I liked the article or not, the reality remains: Americans and Mexicans speak incredibly similar languages and understand each other perfectly. As for genetics, much like history or even statistics, people tend to interpret the data however it suits their own agenda.

Besides the neighbors—who, let’s be honest, have their own biases regardless of the facts—who else is actually out to get us, man?
